Agriculture is a significant sector of the Indonesian economy. Farmers strive for economically advantageous outcomes in the processing of farming, where the costs paid can result in maximum production. This increases demand for flowers, one of which is water henna. Farmers must enhance production to fulfill the demand for water henna flowers. The purpose of this study is to determine the viability of water henna flower growing in Dukuh Klopo Village, Peterongan District, Jombang Regency. The analytical method employed in this research is a combination of descriptive and quantitative analysis, which will be used to determine the income generated by water henna farming. According to the feasibility analysis results, the B/C – Ratio for water henna plant cultivation in Dukuh Klopo Village, Peterongan District, Jombang Regency is 1.57. This means that for every Rp. 1 spent, the henna plant farming industry in Dukuh Klopo Village, Peterongan District, Jombang Regency generates Rp. 1.57 rupiah in revenue. Thus, the B/C Ratio approach enables the development of water henna flower farming in Dukuh Klopo Village, Peterongan District, Jombang Regency.

Abstract Generally, volatile thiols are hard to be measured with ESI (electrospray ionization)-type LC-MS due to the volatility. Therefore, we here evaluated the pretreatment of their S-bimanyl derivatization by monobromobimane to enable the detection as nonvolatile derivative. Consequently, we successfully developed the convenient and efficient method through the quantitative analysis of 2-furanmethanethiol (volatile thiol odorant of coffee aroma) in coffee bean.

An efficient, accurate HPLC-MS/TQMS method was introduced for the quantitative/qualitative simultaneous analysis of main ingredients, namely geniposide and genipingentiobioside, in the Gardenia fruit. The separation was successfully obtained using a C8 (100mm×2.1mm, 5μm, 30°C) column by gradient elution with ultrapure water as mobile phase, where flow rate was set to 0.2 ml/min and detection wavelength at 240 nm. The analytical method was validated and the quantification of active compounds, namely genipingentiobioside and gardenoside, was performed. Linearity, precision, repeatability, stability and recovery were also reported. The quantitative analysis revealed that both main ingredients as geniposide and genipingentiobioside have performed a good linear relationship in 0.1-100 mg/ml concentration range (r=1.00000 and r =0.99998). The average content was measured to be 4.842% with RSD 0.96% for geniposide and 1.1976% with RSD 0.47% for genipingentiobioside in the Gardenia fruit. Accordingly, this method would be feasible for the quantity and quality control of crude drugs.

AbstractThe development of coffee plantation land has become an important tourism area in the preservation of agricultural land resources. This study aims to analyze the feasibility of developing agro-tourism in the Ghitari Coffee Plantation in terms of three aspects, namely the biophysical, economic and socio-culture aspects, where if the three aspects are fulfilled then the business is considered feasible to be carried out. This research was carried out at the Ghitari Coffee Plantation, located in Lembang Kaero, Sangalla’ District, Tana Toraja, South Sulawesi. The analytical method used is qualitative and quantitative analysis, where the qualitative analysis is used to analyze the feasibility of biophysical and socio-cultural aspects, while the quantitative analysis is used to analyze economic aspects using the NPV and IRR methods. The results showed that the aspect studied, both from the biophysical, economic and socio-cultural aspect were fulfilled. Based on the results of the calculation of IRR and NPV, the result of PV of Proceeds is Rp. 789,992,946 and PV of Outlays of Rp. 620,000,000, so the NPV value is positive, in the amount of Rp. 169,992,946. While the IRR calculation result is 27%, so it is considered feasible because the IRR value is greater than the interest rate. Keywords:      Business Feasibility Analysis, Coffee Plantation, Agro Tourism.

Objective: The preliminary goal was to develop and validate 1st order derivative spectroscopic method for quantitative analysis of Pamabrom (PAMA) which is a xanthine diuretic and ibuprofen (IBU) which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent from its synthetic mixture. Methods: Analytical method was developed on Shimadzu double beam spectrophotometer equipped with UV probe 2.42 as software using methanol as solvent. Quantification of PAMA was carried out at zero cross over point of IBU that is 291 nm and for IBU, it was achieved at 278 nm which is zero cross over point of PAMA. Method was validated according to ICH Q2 R1 guidelines. Results: Method showed a linear response in the range of 2-12 µg/ml of PAMA and 20-120 µg/ml of IBU. Method was found to be accurate with recovery between 99.7–100.9 % for PAMA and 100.3–100.7 % for IBU. The method was found to be accurate and precise for quantitative analysis of PAMA and IBU. Conclusion: The developed method was successfully validated as per ICH Q2 R1 guidelines and was successfully applied for quantitative analysis of a synthetic mixture of PAMA and IBU.

The HREM is highly sensitive to the presence of crystals in a specimen. As a results, researchers often report the presence of some fringe contrast in an otherwise amorphous image. The potential for obtaining more information than just a sense of the presence of crystal has not been addressed in detail. In the interest of allowing some amount of quantitative analysis of HREM images of partially and fully amorphous materials, we have developed an analytical method with which to quantify the directionality of an image using stereology.Figure 1 is a series of HREM images taken through the crystal - amorphous interface of an electron irradiated Cu-Ti intermetallic alloy. The first image is from an unirradiated crystalline region. The second image is from a low dose irradiated region, while the third is from a region that has been irradiated to a dose just under the necessary dosage for a total amorphous transition.
