This research is motivated by the problem of the low ability to read the beginning of students, so that the SAS method is applied so that it can help students in the success of reading the beginning. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in pretest and posttest by applying synthetic analytical structural methods (SAS) in reading the beginning of elementary school students and to determine the increase in pretest and posttest in reading the beginning of students. This type of research is a pre-experimental type of pretest-posttest one group design, which is an experiment that is only carried out in only one group, without comparison. This study was conducted in class 1 with 34 students. Based on the results of the study it was found that the average reading ability before being treated (pretest) was 51.77 while the average reading ability after treatment (posttest) was 88.41 and the average value of gain normality was 0.76 which including the high category and the results of hypothesis testing using t-test with tcount=51,080 and ttable=2,0345 can be concluded tcount>ttable, then reject H0 means significant. This means that there is an increase in initial reading in class I students who are significant between before (pretest) and after (posttest) applying the Synthetic Analytical Structural (SAS) method.SAS method, read beginning, elementary school

This research was motivated by the low ability of students to read at the beginning, so the researchers applied the SAS method in order to help students who still had difficulty reading. This study aims to determine the difference between the pretest and posttest by applying the synthetic analytical structural method (SAS) in reading the beginning of grade II elementary school students and to determine the increase in the pretest and posttest in reading the beginning of students. This type of research is a type of pretest-posttest one group pre-experimental design, which is an experiment that is only carried out in one group, without comparison. This research was carried out in class II SDN 004 Baturijal Hulu, Peranap sub-district with a total of 29 students. Based on the research results, it was found that the average value of reading ability before being treated (pretest) was 51.68 while the average value of reading ability after treatment (posttest) was 88.65 and the average value of normality gain was 0.76 which including the high category and the results of hypothesis testing using t-test with t = 47.191 and t table = 2.045, it is concluded that t count> t table, then reject H0 means significant. This means that there is a significant increase in pre-test reading in grade II students between before (pretest) and after (posttest) applying the Synthetic Structural Analytical (SAS) method.

This study aims to find out whether effective letter sound training can improve initial reading skills in Grade 1 Elementary School students. Indonesia has abundant cultural diversity. Each region has its own cultural characteristics. Currently, elementary school students' love for art has begun to fade, even though there are so many arts developing. By modifying the puppets into paper puppets, it is easy to make and use them as learning media. Elementary school is a fundamental and strategic education, because it is a golden period and laying the foundation for child development. In addition, the environment plays a very large role in the formation of attitudes and children, namely character. Character is a characteristic that is attached to a person, manifested through moral values and then becomes the hallmark of a person who is formed in life. The purpose of this study was to prove the effect of the application of paper puppet learning media on the character values of elementary school students. The type of research used is experimental research with one-group pretest posttest design technique. The results of the study using paper puppet learning media made students' character values stronger. This can be seen from the average value before being given treatment, the results are 92.63 while after being given treatment the results are 160.72. Based on the analysis of paired sample t-test data, it is known that Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 <0.05, in general it can be concluded that there is an effect of the application of the Paper Puppet Learning Media on the Character Values of Elementary School Students.
