This research is a study of policy implementation that focuses on resistance to the changes in pattern of village heads general election (pilkades) policy form the conventional to the electronic way (e-voting). The study began with a demonstration against this policy conducted by a number of village heads in Sleman Regency. The e-voting system in the pilkades is not a new thing in the history of democracy in Indonesia. Some districts such as Jembrana, Boyolali, Pemalang, Musi Rawas and other regions have implemente this new pattern of elections without any significant problems especially in the form of resistance form the communit. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, by describing what is expressed by the informant of a phenomenon that occurs in the midst of the community in addressing such technology adoption (e-voting). Based on the results of this study found two categories of reasons for resistantion, namely : objective reasons and subjective reasons, including: (1) Objective Reasons: Not Easy, Economic Threats, Damaging Regulatory Values, and Fear of Loss of Status and POwer. (2) Subjective Reasons: Fear of Failure, Damaging Cultural Values, and Low Trust. Those reasons are in harmony with the nine causes of resistance to change as stated by Gary A. Yukl in his book entitled “Leadership in Organization” (2010). he nine reasons for the emergence of resistance are mady by the author as a theoritical basis in studying the resistance factor of the e-voting election policy.   Keywords : resistance, e-voting, pilkades, change, policy

Istana Maimun adalah istana kebesaran Kerajaan Deli yang dibangun pada tahun 1888. Saat ini istana maimun sudah beralih fungsi menjadi museum dan hunian untuk keluarga keturunan sultan. Istana Maimun memiliki daya tarik tersendiri terutama sebagai bukti perjalanan sejarah kebudayaan Kota Medan. Dalam Penelitian ini Peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yaitu dengan menguji signifikansi kondisi Istana Maimun sebagai bangunan bersejarah Kota Medan melalui nilai sejarah, nilai ilmu pengetahuan, nilai agama dan nilai kebudayaan seperti yang ditetapkan dalam UU No.11 Tahun 2010. Dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, dokumentasi dan konservasi lapangan. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadikan Istana Maimun menjadi bangunan bersejarah cagar budaya Nasional.   Maimun Palace is an oversized palace of the Kingdom of Deli which was built in 1888. At present Maimun Palace has turned into a museum and residence for families of descendants of the Sultan. Maimun Palace has its own charm, especially as evidence of the journey of the history of the city of Medan. In this study the researcher used a qualitative descriptive method, namely by testing the significance of Maimun Palace as a historical building in Medan through historical values, the value of science, religious values and cultural values as stipulated in Law No.11 of 2010. By collecting data through interviews, field documentation, and conservation. The results of this study are expected to make Maimun Palace a historic building of national cultural heritage.

The purpose of this research is to explore the oral traditions that exist in the Becirongengor village as well as the social and cultural values ​​contained in these oral traditions so that these values ​​can provide learning for the local community. Starting from the problem that the oral tradition that develops in society is starting to lose its existence. Currently the role of oral tradition has begun to be replaced by the existence of social media that has mushroomed in the community. The question is how the oral tradition is able to provide social and cultural values ​​among the community, especially the Becirongengor Village community. The qualitative descriptive method is the chosen research method. The results found that there are still oral traditions that develop in the community, namely (1) the history of Beciro and Ngengor; (2) Haul Mbah Janten and Mbah Surogati; (3) the Kleman Tradition; (4) Paseban Karang Jiwo; (5) MBET traditions; and (6) Slametan. The social and cultural values ​​implicit in the oral tradition are the values ​​of mutual cooperation, andap ashor, tepo seliro, aji mareng sesepuh, friendship, tolerance, religious, and historical values. Of course, oral tradition also provides benefits in social science and cultural education among people, who have experienced the process of transmitting social values ​​that function for entertainment, reminiscing about the past (meaning to history studying), solidarity and togetherness, religious or religious functions, social control, and education.

Banyuwangi Jaranan Dance is a traditional art that is rich in artistic and cultural values, this dance is also very thick to the impression of magical and spiritual value. Jaranan dance is a very famous art in banyuwangi spread in several districts, such as District Banyuwangi, Kabat, Rogojampi, Kalipuro, Licin, Singonjuruh, Rogojampi, Giri and Glagah district. The usual research on Jaranan has been done a lot. From several studies on jaranan, this study is very different from the initial research that focuses on the initial research of jaranan art, the values / meaning of jaranan art, the art of jaranan performance, and the art of jaranan performance. This research is more focused on the culture of "Kesurupan" which includes the process of ritual possession, the meaning of possession and culture in ritual jaranan Banyuwangi. Researchers took data in three sub-districts of Banyuwangi, namely Jaranan Baluk Group, Glagah sub-district, Jaranan Karang Asem Group and Giri Sub-District, Tresno Budoyo Jaranan Group. Researchers use qualitative descriptive method with data recognition techniques, interviews and documentation.

Sunan Giri was the Islamic priest in Java who had enough enormous influence especially in 15-17 th AD century. The name of “Sunan Giri” is not limited referring to Raden Paku (Sunan Giri I) who started the political entity of Giri Kedhaton, but also refers to almost all of the sunans from Giri who are also descendants of Sunan Giri I. The Babad Tanah Jawi (BTJ) as a historical literature book of the Mataram palace in addition to telling the history of Java from the pre-Demak era to Mataram, on the other hand also mentions a lot about the existence of Sunan Giri. This research seeks to reveal the legitimacy narratives of the Islamic Mataram Kingdom in BTJ involving Sunan Giri as a religious figure who can exert political influence on them. By using a qualitative-descriptive method, the writer analyzes the text data of BTJ's narratives that contain elements of legitimacy involving Sunan Giri. From the philological data, it is then balanced with historical data from several historical works to find out how the socio-political conditions occurred in the 15th-17th century AD, especially in Java. The mention of legitimacy related to Sunan Giri in BTJ occurred in the early of Demak, early of Pajang, early until the mid of Mataram. Those stories are closely related to the existence of Sunan Giri as a priest with enormous influence both in Java and outside Java. Therefore, BTJ, which contains such information, has become one of the media for the legitimacy of power by the kings of Mataram.

This study aims to find out a brief history of the history of Muhammadiyah education in Tulangan, Sidoarjo, learning strategies, analyzing the courageous learning process, supporting and inhibiting factors for teachers in carrying out learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a very big impact on education, especially in the learning process that was initially carried out directly but is now converted into courageous learning. Students are required to be accustomed to less effective courage. This research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Tulangan. This research used This type of research is a qualitative descriptive method. By taking sound recordings during the interview process. Learning strategies are carried out in order to achieve learning objectives which are expected to establish good communication between teachers, students and also guardians of students. As for some of the supporting factors for teachers in the learning process, namely the number of cellphones, quotas, and stable internet networks. And the inhibiting factor is not being able to meet face to face directly which makes students not focus on receiving online learning.

The purpose of this class action research is to find out whether the use of the discussion method in the discussion of LKS can improve the history of learning outcomes of class VIII A of SMP 4 Padang Cermin, and also to achieve student mastery learning. The formulation of the problem in this study is "Is the use of the discussion method in the discussion of LKS can improve the history of learning outcomes of students of class VII A 1st semester of SMP 1 Padang Cermin South Lampung in 2008/2009. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with classroom action research, ie researchers will conduct teaching and learning activities accompanied by partner teachers. From the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded: The average class of historical learning outcomes of students has increased, namely before using the LKS of 68 and after using LKS of 86.1. The percentage increase in historical learning outcomes from 42 students before using LKS is 52.3% and after using LKS increased to 97% from 42 students, then in the final results of this study there was an increase of 44.6%.

AbstrakPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian antropologi sastra yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara mendalam berbagai nilai budaya masyarakat suku Banjar dan Dayak yang direpresentasikan dalam novel Jendela Seribu Sungai karya Miranda Seftiana dan Avesina Soebli. Pendekatan yangdigunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan antropologi sastra, suatu pendekatan interdisipliner yang secara khusus mengkaji berbagai aspek kebudayaan manusia yang tercermin melalui karya sastra. Selanjutnya, metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Untuk menganalisis data, digunakan teknik analisis isi yang meliputi tahapan identifikasi data, klasifikasi data, dan interpretasi data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan lima nilai budaya masyarakat suku Banjar yang direpresentasikan dalam novel Jendela Seribu Sungai karya Miranda Seftiana dan Avesina Soebli. Pertama, percaya adanya kekuasaan Tuhan dan senantiasa terus berdoa kepada Tuhan. Kedua, manusia harus dapat menjaga dan menggunakan alam dengan sebaik-baiknya agar dapatbermanfaat dalam kehidupan. Ketiga, manusia tidak dapat hidup sendiri karena merupakan makhluk sosial. Keempat, musyawarah, saling membantu dan saling mengasihi antarsesama. Kelima, manusiabertanggung jawab terhadap kelangsungan hidupnya sendiri untuk membuat hidupnya menjadi lebih baik.Kata kunci: kebudayaan, nilai budaya, antropologi sastra  AbstractThis study aims to describe the cultural values of the people of Banjar and Dayak tribes are represented in the novel of Jendela Seribu Sungai by Miranda Seftiana and Avesina Soebli.The method used in this research is literary anthropology approach. It examines various aspects of human culture which is reflected through literary works. Furthermore, the research used qualitative descriptive method and content analysis technique are used to analyze the data, they are respectively, data identification, data classification, and data interpretation. The results found five cultural values of the people of Banjar tribe and Dayak that is representedin the novel of Jendela Seribu Sungai by Miranda Seftiana and Avesina Soebli. First, believe in the power of God and always continue to pray to God. Second, humans must be able to maintain and use nature as well as possible so that it can be useful in life. Third, humans cannot live alone because the people are social creatures. Fourth, deliberation, helping each other and sharing among each other. Uma Lengge building is traditional building in Bima District West Nusa Tenggara which functions as the residence of Mbojo tribe and place to store food. The study aims to analyze the characteristics and relation of Uma Lengge buildings with the social and cultural life of Maria Village. The approach used in this study is archaeological approach with qualitative descriptive method. The study began with collecting data through literature study, direct observation, and interviews. The trapezoidal part of the roof with legs, has two pieces of crossing each other at each end of the ridge with bamboo material. The door leads to Mecca. The front part of the house may not be faced with another houses. Uma Lengge has three main parts such as the foundation, the first floor and second floors. The building of Uma Lengge has links with social values such as the value of mutual cooperation, value of hospitality, value of deliberation, value of helping and cultural values in Ampa Fare ceremony and inter dowry ceremony. Bangunan Uma Lengge merupakan bangunan tradisional di Kabupaten Bima Nusa Tenggara Barat. Bangunan ini berfungsi untuk tempat tinggal masyarakat suku Mbojo sekaligus tempat menyimpan bahan makanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik serta keterkaitan bangunan Uma Lengge terhadap kehidupan sosial dan kebudayaan masyarakat Desa Maria. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan arkeologi dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian dimulai dengan melakukan pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka, pengamatan secara langsung di lapangan, melakukan wawancara untuk data penelitian melalui informan. Diperoleh data pada bagian atap bangunan berbentuk trapesium sama kaki serta memiliki dua buah wanga yang saling menyilang pada setiap ujung bubungan atap dengan bahan bambu. Bagian pintu bangunan arah hadap mengarah ke Mekah, bagian depan bangunan tidak boleh berhadapan dengan bagian depan bangunan di sekitar tetapi bertolak belakang terhadap bangunan lainnya. Bangunan Uma Lengge memiliki tiga bagian utama seperti bagian pondasi, lantai satu dan lantai dua sekaligus atap. Bangunan Uma Lengge memiliki keterkaitan dengan nilai sosial kehidupan masyarakat Maria seperti; nilai gotong royong; nilai silahturrahmi; nilai musyawarah; nilai tolong menolong dan keterkaitan pada nilai kebudayaan dalam kehidupan masyarakat Desa Maria seperti; upacara Ampa Fare dan upacara mengantar mahar.

Abstract A motorbike manufacturer which struggles to market their products is Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred as Honda Motor). This article investigated origin of Honda Motor’s logos and tried to describe the logos as superimposed advertisement displayed in a television program. The study applied a qualitative descriptive method. Data were taken from a commedy situation Overa van Java relayed on Trans7 television channel. The data are the Honda Motor’s logos displayed as superimposed advertisement. The results showed that Honda has denotation and connotation meanings. The company name was originated from the family name of the founder Soichiro Honda. However, there is also another meaning ‘Japanese rice’ due to marketing strategy which delivers cultural values due to promote Japanese products. The Honda Motor’s logos are a red-colored wing on a white background and a white-colored wing on a red background. The logos are discovered as the signified  while the products of Honda Motors become the signifier. The logos slid with approximately 11 seconds of duration which depicted brand awareness. This study concludes that the superimposed advertisement employed mini images on the left corner of a television screen. The advertisement strategy is valuable to cause intention of the television audiences through the signifier and signified. Keywords: Logo, meaning, sign, signifier, signified, superimposed advertisement                                                                                 Abstrak Pabrikan sepeda motor yang berjuang untuk tetap memasarkan produknya adalah Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (selanjutnya disebut Honda Motor). Artikel ini menginvestigasi logo Honda Motor dan mendeskripsikan logo tersebut sebagai iklan superimposed yang ditayangkan dalam program televisi. Penelitian ini disusun dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data diperoleh dari situasi komedi Overa van Java yang ditayangkan pada saluran televisi Trans7. Data yang diperoleh berupa logo Honda Motor yang ditampilkan sebagai iklan superimposed. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Honda memiliki makna denotasi dan konotasi. Nama perusahaan berasal dari nama keluarga pendirinya, yaitu Soichiro Honda. Akan tetapi, terdapat makna lain 'beras Jepang' sebagai upaya strategi pemasaran yang memiliki nilai budaya untuk mempromosikan produk dari Jepang. Logo Honda Motor adalah sayap berwarna merah dengan latar belakang putih dan sayap berwarna putih dengan latar belakang merah. Logo-logo tersebut dinyatakan sebagai penanda sementara produk-produk Honda Motor menjadi petanda. Logo-logo ditampilkan saling berganti dengan durasi sekitar 11 detik untuk menyampaikan brand awareness. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa iklan superimposed menampilkan gambar berukuran kecil di sudut kiri layar televisi. Strategi iklan ini berupaya untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dari penonton televisi melalui penanda dan petanda.   Kata Kunci: Logo, makna, tanda, penanda, petanda, iklan superimposed
