Background: The level of medication literacy is very important to control symptoms and improve the prognosis of patients with coronary heart disease (CHD). The positive role of social support is able to promote patient health outcomes. However, few studies have addressed the association between social support and medication literacy in patients with CHD. The purpose of this study is to investigate the status of medication literacy and social support, and confirm the association between them in patients with CHD.Methods: This cross-sectional study investigated 416 participants, and was conducted in a grade a hospital in China. Three different survey instruments were applied: The Demographic Characteristics Questionnaire, the Chinese Version of the Medication Literacy Scale, and the Social Support Rating Scale. Pearson correlation analysis and ordinal logistic regression analysis were performed to analyze data. Results: The results showed that the mean score of medication literacy among the 416 participants was 4.96 ± 4.68, 48.8% (203) participants with inadequate medication literacy. The independent determinants of medication literacy include gender, education level, course of disease, number of medicines, and subjective support in social support. The mean score of social support was 41.05 ± 6.16. The Pearson correlation analysis indicated that social support was positively correlated with medication literacy (r = 0.398, P < 0.01).Conclusion: The study shows that the level of medication literacy and social support for patients with CHD are inadequate. Social support levels could have a positive effect on medication literacy of patients.

Heart disease is the number one cause of death globally; an estimation shows that 17.7 million people die because of cardiovascular disease. 7.4 million deaths are caused by coronary heart disease. The main symptoms of coronary heart disease are chest pain (angina), feeling depressed, squeezed or choked with the location of the pain at the back of the left breastbone spreading from the bottom of the upper arm, left shoulder, to the neck or lower jaw. Pain management can be done with non-pharmacological techniques of Al-Quran auditory therapy and music therapy. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of Al-Quran auditory therapy and music therapy on the quality of pain in patients with coronary heart disease. This research is a quantitative research with Quasy Experimental research design using two pre and post design approach involving 28 respondents. Measurement of pain level by using Numerical Rating Scale. The results showed that both therapy had an effect on the quality of pain of coronary heart disease patients. The mean decreasing of pain in the group of auditory therapy Al-Quran is bigger than the music therapy group the results of the mean 1.286. So it can be deduced that Al-Quran auditory therapy is more effective in reducing pain in patients with coronary heart disease. The suggestion of this study may provide additional information for response-related pain relief.   Keywords: CHD, Pain, Al-Quran, Music

Background The discriminative ability of a point-of-care electroencephalogram (EEG)-derived pain index (Pi) for objectively assessing pain has been validated in chronic pain patients. The current study aimed to determine its feasibility in assessing labor pain in an obstetric setting. Methods Parturients were enrolled from the delivery room at the department of obstetrics in a tertiary hospital between February and June of 2018. Pi values and relevant numerical rating scale (NRS) scores were collected at different stages of labor in the presence or absence of epidural analgesia. The correlation between Pi values and NRS scores was analyzed using the Pearson correlation analysis. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was plotted to estimate the discriminative capability of Pi to detect labor pain in parturients. Results Eighty paturients were eligible for inclusion. The Pearson correlation analysis exhibited a positive correlation between Pi values and NRS scores in parturients (r = 0.768, P < 0.001). The ROC analysis revealed a cut-off Pi value of 18.37 to discriminate between mild and moderate-to-severe labor pain in parturients. Further analysis indicated that Pi values had the best diagnostic accuracy reflected by the highest area under the curve (AUC) of 0.857, with a sensitivity and specificity of 0.767 and 0.833, respectively, and a Youden index of 0.6. Subgroup analyses further substantiated the correlations between Pi values and NRS scores, especially in parturients with higher pain intensity. Conclusion This study indicates that Pi values derived from EEGs significantly correlate with the NRS scores, and can serve as a way to quantitatively and objectively evaluate labor pain in parturients.

Manipulation which is a type of social influence occurs when a person influences and operates another person by changing their thoughts or behaviors. Manipulation differs from its purpose. Harmful manipulation has features such as suppressing the person by manipulating the person, restricting free will and showing implicit aggression. At the same time, the manipulator’s motives are hidden and the goal is to benefit the manipulator. Dating violence is defined as being subjected to abuse by husband/ wife, date, girlfriend/boyfriend or ex-partner. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between being affected by the manipulation in students’ close relationships and exposure to dating violence in their emotional relationships. This research is descriptive. 200 students between the ages of 18-28 at Yeditepe University participated in the study. Three different questionnaire forms were used to collect data. They are respectively demographic form, being affected by the manipulation questionnaire which consists of 20 questions and the exposure to dating violence questionnaire which consists of 42 questions. The answer to each question has an equal coefficient effect. At the end of the exposure to dating violence questionnaire, there is a description of a forensic case and questions about whether the case was resolved or not. Exposure to dating violence questionnaire consists of 7 sub-categories; emotional, verbal, social, physical, economic, sexual and digital. The mean age of the participants is 22,08±2,03. Participants consist of students who 48% (N=96) are men and 52% (N=204) are women. According to Pearson Correlation analysis; there is a moderately significant positive correlation between exposure to dating violence and being affected by manipulation (r= .319, p <0.001). The findings suggest that when the rate of being affected by the manipulation in the close relationships of participants increases, dating violence increases.

Background: Self-esteem is an overall subjective evaluation of one’s worth or value which encompasses the positive or negative orientation or beliefs towards oneself. Self-esteem has established itself as an important psychological factor contributing to health and quality of life. Thus, this study aimed at understanding the factors influencing the level of self-esteem among the undergraduate students and its correlation with depression, anxiety and stress symptoms experienced by the students.   Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 618 randomly sampled undergraduates from different academic institutions of Pokhara Metropolitan using Rosenberg self-esteem scale to assess the level of self-esteem and DASS-21 to assess the level of depression, anxiety, and stress. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS statistical software. The chi-squire test, binary logistic regression and Pearson correlation analysis were performed to establish the relationship between variables at the level of significance, p<0.05. Results: More than three-forth (75.7%) of the students were found to have a normal level of self-esteem while around one-fifth (21.4%) of the students had low self-esteem. There was no statistical relationship established between students’ academic discipline and their self-esteem. However, students’ academic performance, family history of any psychological distress and their perceived level of social support were the major influencing factors associated with their self-esteem at p<0.001. Based on Pearson correlation analysis, self-esteem was negatively correlated with depression, anxiety and stress at p<0.01. Conclusion: The prevalence of low self-esteem was relatively lower in this students' group and there existed a negative correlation between self-esteem and depression, anxiety and stress experienced by the students. Thus, strategies aimed to increase students' level of perceived social support and self-esteem can reduce their risks of acquiring any mental health problems in near future.

Abstract Background: Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play an important role in angiogenesis, immune response, inflammatory response and tumor development and metastasis. m6 A (N6 - methyladenosine) is one of the most common RNA modifications in eukaryotes. The aim of our research was to investigate the potential prognostic value of m6A-related lncRNAs in ovarian cancer (OC).Methods: The data we need for our research was downloaded from the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. Pearson correlation analysis between 21 m6A regulators and lncRNAs was performed to identify m6A-related lncRNAs. Univariate Cox regression analysis was implemented to screen for lncRNAs with prognostic value. A least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) Cox regression and multivariate Cox regression analyses was used to further reduct the lncRNAs with prognostic value and construct a m6A-related lncRNAs signature for predicting the prognosis of OC patients. Results: 275 m6A-related lncRNAs were obtained using pearson correlation analysis. 29 m6A-related lncRNAs with prognostic value was selected through univariate Cox regression analysis. Then, a seven m6A-related lncRNAs signature was identified by LASSO Cox regression. Each patient obtained a riskscore through multivariate Cox regression analyses and the patients were classified into high-and low-risk group using the median riskscore as a cutoff. Kaplan-Meier curve revealed that the patients in high-risk group have poor outcome. The receiver operating characteristic curve revealed that the predictive potential of the m6A-related lncRNAs signature for OC was powerful. The predictive potential of the m6A-related lncRNAs signature was successfully validated in the GSE9891, GSE26193 datasets and our clinical specimens. Multivariate analyses suggested that the m6A-related lncRNAs signature was an independent prognostic factor for OC patients. Moreover, a nomogram based on the expression level of the seven m6A-related lncRNAs was established to predict survival rate of patients with OC. Finally, a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network associated with the seven m6A-related lncRNAs was constructed to understand the possible mechanisms of the m6A-related lncRNAs involed in the progression of OC.Conclusions: In conclusion, our research revealed that the m6A-related lncRNAs may affect the prognosis of OC patients and identified a seven m6A-related lncRNAs signature to predict the prognosis of OC patients.

This article examines the relationship between learning and behavioural evaluation among religious officers in Malaysia after attending the Manual on HIV/AIDS in Islam Training Programmes organized by the Islamic Development Department of Malaysia (JAKIM). The training programmes were implemented to deliver the most accurate and the latest information on HIV / AIDS as well as to train religious officers in Malaysia to address the issues among Muslims. The training programmes apply the theoretical and practical activities where participants had the opportunity to carry out outreach activities with People Living with HIV / AIDS (ODHA). Quantitative methods through questionnaires were used to obtain data. A total of 350 religious officers who had attended the training programmes were selected as respondents by simple random sampling technique. Pearson correlation analysis was conducted to determine the relationship between the learning and behavioural evaluation. The results of the Pearson correlation analysis found that there was a significant relationship between learning evaluation in terms of the information obtained from programmes’ contents and behaviour evaluation with r = 0.489 and sig = 0.000 (p <0.05) at the medium positive range.. While the relationship between learning evaluation in terms of the information obtained from outreach activities with behavioural evaluation showed a strong positive correlation with the strength values obtained were r = 0.539 and sig = 0.000 (p <0.05). This analysis shows that the information acquired through the training program Manual Islam and HIV / AIDS has been successful in changing the behaviour of religious officers’ awareness in terms of the role of dakwah to ODHA.
