Background: Cavernous hemangioma, also known as cavernous vascular malformation (CVM), is the most common primary lesion of the orbit in adults. The management of these lesions is challenging and is strongly dependent on their location, as well as the patient's symptoms and expectations. The trans-palpebral approach is currently used in surgery for orbital tumors, anterior skull base tumors, and even more, orbital reconstruction, because of its well-demonstrated esthetic advantages. Similarly, the use of magnification can be provided by surgical loupes, microscope, or more recently, endoscope, which is well-documented for its advantages in terms of minimal invasiveness and safety. In the last years, the use of exoscopes in microsurgery has been proposed due to their greater and sharper intraoperative magnification, but never for the removal of orbital tumors.Clinical Presentation: We describe a case of a 38-year-old woman with a right orbital intraconic CVM removed using an inferior transpalpebral approach performed under 4K-3-dimensional (4K-3D) exoscopic vision. Navigation and ultrasound were also used, with the former allowing better identification of the lesion within the orbit and the second overcoming the limitations of navigation, in terms of the retraction on the ocular globe before or just after periorbital incision. Conclusion: The use of a 4K-3D exoscope allowed us to perform the surgery safely, thanks to the high magnification and definition of anatomical details, with the surgeon operating in an upright, comfortable position. The CVM was completely removed with excellent results from both functional and esthetic points of view.

Abstract. The scanning differential absorption lidar (DIAL) of the University of Hohenheim (UHOH) is presented. The UHOH DIAL is equipped with an injection-seeded frequency-stabilized high-power Ti:sapphire laser operated at 818 nm with a repetition rate of 250 Hz. A scanning transceiver unit with a 80 cm primary mirror receives the atmospheric backscatter signals. The system is capable of water vapor measurements with temporal resolutions of a few seconds and a range resolution between 30 and 300 m at daytime. It allows to investigate surface-vegetation-atmosphere exchange processes with high resolution. In this paper, we present the design of the instrument and illustrate its performance with recent water vapor measurements taken in Stuttgart-Hohenheim and in the frame of the HD(CP)2 Observational Prototype Experiment (HOPE). HOPE was located near research center Jülich, in western Germany, in spring 2013 as part of the project "High Definition of Clouds and Precipitation for advancing Climate Prediction" (HD(CP)2). Scanning measurements reveal the 3-dimensional structures of the water vapor field. The influence of uncertainties within the calculation of the absorption cross-section at wavelengths around 818 nm for the WV retrieval is discussed. Radiosonde intercomparisons show a very small bias between the instruments of only (−0.04 ± 0.11) g m−3 or (−1.0 ± 2.3) % in the height range of 0.5 to 3 km.

The article is devoted to the definition of concept in modern linguistics. Various points of view and definitions of the basic concepts are considered: "concept", "conceptual sphere", "content". The aim of the article is to describe and explain such a complex unit as a concept from the point of view of linguistics. The object of research is studied in its various manifestations, the combination of verbal and nonverbal means of information expression in the conceptual sphere is revealed. the relevance of this topic is due to the need for a detailed consideration of the concept of concept based on the works of prominent scientists and linguists. Researchers treat the concept as a cognitive, psycholinguistic, linguocultural, cultural and linguistic phenomenon. The concept is an umbrella term because it "covers" the subject areas of several scientific fields: primarily cognitive psychology and cognitive linguistics.

Представлена авторская разработка криминологической модели личности преступника, отбывающего наказание в виде лишения свободы за преступления, связанные с незаконным оборотом наркотиков с целью сбыта. The article analyzes the points of view of scientists regarding the concept of “the identity of the criminal”, presents the author’s definition of the identity of the criminal who commits crimes in the sphere of illicit drug trafficking with a view to marketing. Convicted prisoners who are serving a sentence of deprivation for crimes related to drug trafficking, according to the following parts, are subjected to criminological analysis. 2, 3 tbsp. 328 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. According to the results of the empirical research, the peculiarities of the socio-demographic, medical, criminal law, and moral-psychological nature of the convicts of this category were revealed. It justifies the need for employees of correctional institutions to continuously monitor the personal qualities of those convicted of crimes related to drug trafficking with a view to selling, and to develop on this basis the most optimal options for carrying out individual educational work with them. The author presents the development of a criminological model of the identity of a criminal who is serving a sentence of imprisonment for crimes related to drug trafficking with a view to selling.

The use of renewable energies as alternative to fossil fuels has value from different points of view and has effects at environmental, social and economic level. These aspects are often connected to each other and together define the overall sustainability of bioenergy. At European level, the Directive 2009/28/EC gives the basic criteria for the estimation of sustainability of biofuels and indicates a minimum threshold of 35% of greenhouse gas saving for a biofuel in order to be considered sustainable. The Directive gives the possibility to identify standard regional values for the cultivation steps that could be utilized for the certification. This paper aims to give a contribution to the definition of these values considering the RED methodology applied to the sunflower cropped in central Italy which is characterized by a hilly landscape and not-irrigated crops. To determine input and output of sunflower cultivation in the central Italy, the results of PROBIO project, carried out by the Authors, were used. The sustainability of biodiesel produced from sunflower grown in central Italy is variable and depends on the nitrogen input and seasonal climatic conditions that affect the yields. The greenhouse gases savings of the Italian chain is 40% in average, greater than the required 35% and would be possible to assign this value as standard to the biofuel chain <em>biodiesel from sunflower cultivated in central Italy</em>. Using an averaged regional standard value guards against the possibility of considering unsustainable harvesting in unfavourable years and seeing it overestimated in the favourable ones.

Personality is something that attracts the attention of many parties. Many theories that try to give some concepts and definitions related to the human personality with different points of view. Western psychologists try to provide a definition of personality that is psychological based on the word person, but until now the personality psychologists themselves still do not agree on what the definition of personality actually is. While in Islam, the concept of personality has been thoroughly discussed in various Islamic literature. The Apostle as an example for Muslims has applied the concept of personality and actions and behavior. Thus, the concept of personality according to Islam, that Islamic personality is defined as "a unified integration of the workings of aqliyah and nafsiyah based on Islamic faith which gives birth to actions". Human personality is not shaped and influenced by body shape, face and other accessories. Human personality is formed by aqliyah and nafsiyah.

In the administrative and legal science there is a refinement, change and expansion of the subject of the dynamic branch of administrative law, aimed at eliminating the resulting lag of legal theory from the legal reality. In our view, of the three basic categories that characterize the subject of administrative law, “public administration”, “executive power” and “administrativepublic activity”, the main generalization category is the category “administrative and public activities”. The phenomenon of the subject of administrative law refracts the problems and discussions inherent in the industry as a whole. In view of the existence of different points of view on the subject of administrative law, the legal science has not yet formulated a single definition of it. There is a tendency to overcome the conflict between different types of understanding, to bring together the positions of different concepts of understanding of administrative law in order to form a “universal” concept of it, to develop its common concept.

This article critically analyses the notion of intentionality from several philosophical cognitive points of view. The authors argue that the notion of mental representation in the wider sense and intentionality in the narrower sense remains elusive despite accommodated paradoxes, improved semantic precision and more sophisticated strategies in dealing with intentionality. We will argue that different approaches to intentionality appear to be coherent in their inferences. However, most of them become contradictory and mutually exclusive when juxtaposed and applied to borderline questions. While the explanatory value of both philosophy of mind as well as cognitive psychology should not be underestimated, we must note that not even hard-core neuroscience has been able to pin point what is going on in our minds, let alone come up with a clear cut explanation how it works or a definition of what thought really is. To date, however, intentionality is the best of all explanatory models regarding mental representations.

Polyomavirus nephropathy (PVN) is a common viral infection of renal allografts, with biopsy-proven incidence of approximately 5%. A generally accepted morphologic classification of definitive PVN that groups histologic changes, reflects clinical presentation, and facilitates comparative outcome analyses is lacking. Here, we report a morphologic classification scheme for definitive PVN from the Banff Working Group on Polyomavirus Nephropathy, comprising nine transplant centers in the United States and Europe. This study represents the largest systematic analysis of definitive PVN undertaken thus far. In a retrospective fashion, clinical data were collected from 192 patients and correlated with morphologic findings from index biopsies at the time of initial PVN diagnosis. Histologic features were centrally scored according to Banff guidelines, including additional semiquantitative histologic assessment of intrarenal polyomavirus replication/load levels. In-depth statistical analyses, including mixed effects repeated measures models and logistic regression, revealed two independent histologic variables to be most significantly associated with clinical presentation: intrarenal polyomavirus load levels and Banff interstitial fibrosis ci scores. These two statistically determined histologic variables formed the basis for the definition of three PVN classes that correlated strongest with three clinical parameters: presentation at time of index biopsy, serum creatinine levels/renal function over 24 months of follow-up, and graft failure. The PVN classes 1–3 as described here can easily be recognized in routine renal biopsy specimens. We recommend using this morphologic PVN classification scheme for diagnostic communication, especially at the time of index diagnosis, and in scientific studies to improve comparative data analysis.
