Background: Data analysis methods have become an essential part of empirical research papers, especially in health sciences and medical research. It has previously been reported that a noteworthy percentage of articles have flaws in their statistical reporting. Reporting problems have been a long-term issue, and despite continued efforts to improve the situation, improvements have been far from satisfactory. One explanation is an inadequate assessment of statistical reporting during peer review. This communication proposes a short instrument to assess the quality of data analysis reporting in manuscripts and published papers. Method: A checklist-type instrument was developed by selecting and refining items from previous reports about the quality of statistical reporting in medical journals and from published guidelines for reporting and data presentation. Items were pretested and modified during pilot studies. A total of 160 original medical research articles that were published in 4 journals were evaluated to test the instrument. Interrater and intrarater agreements were examined by comparing quality scores assigned to 40 articles published in a psychiatric journal. Results: The data analysis reporting test consists of nine questions that assess the quality of health research from a reader’s perspective. The composed scale has a total score ranging from 0 to 10 and discriminated between journals and study designs. A high score suggested that an article had a good presentation of findings in tables and figures and that the description of analysis methods was helpful to readers. Interrater and intrarater agreements were high. Conclusion: An applicable checklist for quickly testing the statistical reporting quality of manuscripts and published research papers was developed. This instrument aims to improve the quality of empirical research in scientific fields where statistical methods play an important role.

In a ubiquitous environment, high-accuracy data analysis is essential because it affects real-world decision-making. However, in the real world, user-related data from information systems are often missing due to users’ concerns about privacy or lack of obligation to provide complete data. This data incompleteness can impair the accuracy of data analysis using classification algorithms, which can degrade the value of the data. Many studies have attempted to overcome these data incompleteness issues and to improve the quality of data analysis using classification algorithms. The performance of classification algorithms may be affected by the characteristics and patterns of the missing data, such as the ratio of missing data to complete data. We perform a concrete causal analysis of differences in performance of classification algorithms based on various factors. The characteristics of missing values, datasets, and imputation methods are examined. We also propose imputation and classification algorithms appropriate to different datasets and circumstances.

The Semarang Police, as a form of bureaucratic reform in services, uses a Tour Driver's Licenseservice. However, in its implementation, there are still many obstacles, namely inadequate infrastructure for Tour Driver’s License services and lack of human resources. The purpose of this study was to analyze the service quality of a Tour Driver’s License in Semarang Regency and the factors inhibiting and supporting it. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data analysis technique used is qualitative analysis (data condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawing). Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that the service quality of Tour Driver’s Licenses in Semarang Regency is good. Service implementers have the ability and are able to act professionally. It's just that in its implementation it is constrained by a lack of infrastructure, namely there is only one Tour Driver’s License unit, waiting chairs and tents are still not available, and a lack of human resources. There is a need for additional facilities, infrastructure and human resources to support the implementation of Tour Driver’s License services so that they are able to reach all areas in Semarang Regency.
