Introduction: This study describes the theoretical foundations of the development of an equation that allows for the estimation of the mobilized load when training with suspension devices (type TRX®) and presents a mobile application as a means for its use. Methods: Systems of equations are proposed of which the terms depend on the angulation of the device with respect to the vertical (angle α), the relationship between the height of grip, the height of the center of mass and the weight of the subject, which are recorded from a photo. Results: Based on the photo and the subject’s standing height, the application allows the user to measure the angle α, providing the values of applied force (in N) and mobilized load in relation to the percentage of body mass, applying the calculations described in our equations. The equation also provides the estimated value of the load mobilized during a push up on the floor (68% of the subject’s body mass) and the equation for the calculation of the mobilized load when the suspension device is fixed to the feet. Conclusions: It is possible to use equations to estimate the load mobilized in each repetition during training using suspension devices and to implement this algorithm in a mobile application.

UNSTRUCTURED After carrying out a bibliographic review of the different ways of estimating the load during suspension training, this study describes the theoretical foundations of the development of a mobile phone application (Kinematic lab susp) that allows estimating the load mobilized when training with devices in suspension (type TRX ®). Methods: systems of equations are proposed whose terms depend on the angulation of the device with respect to the vertical (angle α), the relationship between the height of grip and the height of the center of mass, and the weight of the subject that are recorded by means of a photograph. Results: after taking a photograph and incorporating the height of the subject, the application allows measuring the angle α, providing values of applied force (in N) and mobilized load in relation to the percentage of body mass applying the calculations described in our equations. The study also provides the estimated value of the load mobilized during a push on the floor (68% of the subject's body mass) and the equation for the calculation of the mobilized load when the suspension device is fixed to the feet. Conclusions: it is possible to estimate by means of equations the load mobilized in each repetition during the training by suspenesion devices. Kinemtaic lab susp is the first mobile app that allows this calculation to be made from the taking of a photograph.

AbstractSchmorl’s nodes are vertical herniation of intervertebral discs into the body of neighbouring vertebral endplate. Notwithstanding extensive studies, no consensus has been reached in the subject of their possible etiology. It is hypothesized that physical stress, trauma and high axial loading are the key factors in the occurrence of this pathology. The main objective of the current work is to reevaluate the relationship between stature and body mass and Schmorl’s nodes. For this purpose, skeletal samples from Lithuania (44 males and 19 females) and Poland (97 males and 60 females) were used. The study confirmed that Schmorl’s nodes are age-independent, and more frequent in males (12.63% on the superior and 19.32% on the inferior surface of vertebrae) than in females (6.23% and 12.29% respectively). Obtained results also suggest that high stature (e.g. Spearmann correlation for superior:R=0.20 p=0.017, and inferior:R=0.31p=0.000 surface of vertebrae) and body mass (R=0.25,p=0.002 andR=0.32,p<0.001, respectively) are factors that increase the risk of Schmorl’s nodes. Authors hypothesize that the afore-mentioned body size traits alter loadings acting on intervertebral discs, and rigidity of the spine.

Based on a literature review on the theoretical foundations of information marketing and user studies were selected two master dissertations of a Postgraduate Program in Information Science that addressed user studies as a methodological procedure to understand the relationship between supply and demand. The objective of reporting the results of the two master dissertations was to highlight the alternative approach for these studies focusing on users’ perception as a methodological procedure to study the management of information supply and demand in a digital library and a management information system in an information marketing perspective. Despite the different objectives of the dissertations selected, it is inferred that alternative approach of users studies as a methodological procedure to study the users' perception about information supply and demand is possible. This theoretical and methodological approach to integrate the concepts and principles of information marketing in user studies in the context of management of information supply and demand is significant as a contribution to the knowledge on the subject studied.

The subject of the study is the methodological principles of the study of the budget financing system in the conditions of economic transformation. The purpose of the article is to form a methodological toolkit of the budget financing system, which includes principles, forms, approaches to the analysis of this concept. The following methods are used in the article: analysis and synthesis, generalization – in the study of literature sources on the research topic; abstractions, inductions, deductions, ascent from the abstract to the concrete – in the disclosure of the methodological bases of budget financing systems taking into account the laws of dialectics, application of systemic and functional approaches. In the course of research the forms of budgetary financing and their features are defined, the structural-logical scheme of methodological maintenance of system of budgetary financing is constructed. The article reveals the methodological essence of the formation of budget expenditures as the basis of the budget financing system, which consists in applying tools to the formation of budget expenditures on the principles of scientificity, validity, transparency, economy, traceability. It is determined that the problems significantly affect and adjust the state of the budget system, so when forming budget expenditures it is necessary to take into account these problems and implement measures to maximize their leveling with further adjustment of expenditures. The relationship between the philosophical categories of the spheres of life and the sphere of the essence of budget expenditures in the process of formulating the theoretical foundations of budget financing is clearly traced. The study allowed to form a new methodological tradition in modern financial theory, which consists in the formation of not only practical but also philosophical approaches, abandonment of the search for a single concept of budget financing and unambiguous methods of its construction, the use of advanced methods of economic research etc.

The article considers the peculiarities of establishing jurisdiction in inheritance cases with a foreign element. Attention is paid to the formulation of the theoretical foundations of the institution of inheritance with a foreign element, the classification is carried out, the conceptual apparatus, the sources of international inheritance law are formulated. The analysis of the domestic legislation of Ukraine, regulates the issue of determining the jurisdiction of cases with a foreign element. In particular, attention is paid to the priority of using international legislation on domestic in jurisdictional matters. The norms of multilateral international agreements approved by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as well as bilateral international agreements on legal assistance concluded between Ukraine and other states, which establish the rules of jurisdiction of inheritance cases with a foreign element, are considered. Processes of social internationalization, which are an integral part of modern life, the expansion of various contacts of Ukrainian citizens with foreigners, as well as active migration processes, the possibility of acquiring property abroad, a significant increase in marriages with foreigners, intercountry adoption cause a sharp increase in inheritance with a foreign element, which are the subject of litigation. The foreign element in the inheritance relationship may be manifested in such a way that the testator and heirs are citizens of different states or reside in different countries. Property that is part of the inheritance may be located in different countries. In this context, there is reason to conclude that the relationship subject to legal regulation has a legal relationship with the legal systems of two or more countries. In different jurisdictions, the substantive regulation of inheritance has its own characteristics. It is concluded that the determination of the admissibility of the statement of claim in relation to the disputed inheritance relationship with a foreign element is impossible without the use of a special procedure defined in the study.

The Mesozoic-Cenozoic coral Order Scleractinia has been suggested to have originated or evolved (1) by direct descent from the Paleozoic Order Rugosa or (2) by the development of a skeleton in members of one of the anemone groups that probably have existed throughout Phanerozoic time. In spite of much work on the subject, advocates of the direct descent hypothesis have failed to find convincing evidence of this relationship. Critical points are:(1) Rugosan septal insertion is serial; Scleractinian insertion is cyclic; no intermediate stages have been demonstrated. Apparent intermediates are Scleractinia having bilateral cyclic insertion or teratological Rugosa.(2) There is convincing evidence that the skeletons of many Rugosa were calcitic and none are known to be or to have been aragonitic. In contrast, the skeletons of all living Scleractinia are aragonitic and there is evidence that fossil Scleractinia were aragonitic also. The mineralogic difference is almost certainly due to intrinsic biologic factors.(3) No early Triassic corals of either group are known. This fact is not compelling (by itself) but is important in connection with points 1 and 2, because, given direct descent, both changes took place during this only stage in the history of the two groups in which there are no known corals.

Background and Aims: Cord blood leptin may reflect the leptinemic status of a newborn at birth more accurately than the leptin values of blood collected from other sites. The present study was undertaken to determine the relationship of cord serum leptin concentration at birth with neonatal and maternal anthropometric parameters. Materials and Methods: Blood was taken from the umbilical cord of the babies at delivery. Maternal anthropometric measurements were recorded at admission for delivery. Neonatal anthropometric measurements were recorded within 48 hours after delivery. Linear regression analysis was used to explore the relationship between cord serum leptin concentration and anthropometric parameters of the baby and the mother. Both Serum leptin and serum C-peptide levels were measured by chemiluminescence-based ELISA method. Results: The leptin concentration (ng/ml, mean±SD) in cord blood was 39.13±14.44. Cord leptin levels correlated with birth weight (r=0.673, p<0.0001), ponderal index (r=0.732, p<0.0001) but it did not correlate with maternal body mass index, gestational age (r=0.135, p=0.349) at delivery or cord serum C-peptide concentration (r=-0.049, p=0.735) or placental weight (r=0.203, p=0.157). Conclusion: There are associations between cord leptin concentration at delivery and birth weight, ponderal index (PI) of the babies but not body mass index (BMI) of the mothers. High leptin levels of the baby could represent an important feedback modulator of substrate supply and subsequently for adipose tissue status during late gestation.
