Along with the rapid development of nanotechnology, the biosafety of quantum dots (QDs), a widely used kind of nanoparticles, has grabbed the attentions of researchers, because QDs have excellent and unique optical properties that other commonly used nanoparticles, like walled carbon nanotubes, do not have. The understanding of the toxicity of QDs is an important premise for their application in wider fields, including biology and medicine. This study sought to analyze scientific publications on the toxicity of QDs and to construct a bibliometric model for qualitative and quantitative evaluation of these publications over the past decade, which visually presented the status quo and future development trend on the toxicological study of QDs. A search for data using the triple blind method revealed that, as of 31 December 2018, there were 5269 papers published on the toxicity of QDs. RSC ADVANCES (5-year IF, 3.096) ranked first in the number of publications. China had the largest number of publications (2233) and the highest H-index (119), but the United States was still the leading country with regards to the quality of the research. LIU Y (106 publications) published the most papers, while Hardman R (304 co-citations) had the most co-citations. The keyword “walled carbon nanotube” ranked first in the research frontier. The findings not only determine a development trend of the toxicological study of QDs, but also identify further research directions in this field.

AIM: Water quality has been the subject of many recent studies, moreover, the physical, chemical and biological parameters of water are used to investigate water quality and can be combined into a single index, the Water Quality Index (WQI), for use by water resource managers and the general public. The aim of this study was to use scientometrics to evaluate how water quality has been addressed in the international scientific literature. METHOD: For the quantitative analysis of the publications on WQI, we used the search database SCOPUS (http://www.scopus.com). The search was performed using the words "QUALIT* WATER* INDEX*" in papers published in all databases (through 2011). RESULTS: We found 554 articles that dealt with the use of WQI the number of publications has increased significantly over the last 20 years. India had the most studies, with 177 articles, followed by China, Brazil and the United States. These four countries together published 57% of studies on WQI. We generated 15 linear models to explain the number of publication by study sit (country). According to the Akaike Information Criterion (AIC), the best model to explain the number of publications by country was the model that combined Sanitation and Public Supply. CONCLUSION: Finally, this paper presents the state of scientific literature on WQI and demonstrates the growing interest of the scientific community in this issue, which is certainly due to the importance of the quantity and quality of water for human supply, economics, health and the conservation of water resources.

In December 2018 the information and reference system “REGISTER of scientific professional editions of Ukraine” (http://resources.ukrintei.ua/refer/) was created at the SSO UISTEI. The purpose of the project is to create a convenient and accessible online platform containing information that will be useful to the authors (helps in the choice that is best suited for publication), editors (helps to improve and develop their own journals, helps to be in the trend in the development of professional scientific journals of Ukraine), experts (for monitoring of changes and verification of compliance with issued formal criteria). The service should ensure the availability of information about the scientific specialists of Ukraine. The system has a convenient multi-level search for publications based on a number of parameters, filtering functions and sorting content. The project was supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and a link was posted on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science, through which any user can access the service online. The service (currently) contains and stores information on more than 1,760 scientific professional journals of Ukraine. In plans for further development it is planned to develop the possibility of external editing of the publication data by the founders, which will help to provide the most up-to-date information about the professional journals, to take into account the changes that arise in scientific periodicals. Using the service will simplify the control and improve the quality of management of expert opinions on the expediency of providing scientific publications with the status of professional

BACKGROUND Digital health is growing at a rapid pace, and digital health literacy has tremendous potential to promote health outcomes, bridge the digital divide, and improve health inequalities. OBJECTIVE The purposes of this study are to conduct a systematic bibliometric analysis on the field of dig-ital health literacy and to understand the research context and trends in this field. METHODS A total of 1,955 scientific publications were collected from the Web of Science (WoS) core col-lection. Institutional cooperation, journal co-citation, theme bursting, keyword co-occurrence, author cooperation, author co-citation, literature co-citation and references in the field of digi-tal health literacy were analyzed using the VOSviewer and CiteSpace knowledge mapping tools. RESULTS The results demonstrated that the United States was the leader in number of publications and citations in this field. The University of California System was first in terms of institutional contributions. The Journal of Medical Internet Research led in number of publications, cita-tions and co-citations. Research areas in the field of digital health literacy mainly include the definition and scale of health literacy, health literacy and health outcomes, health literacy and the digital divide, and the influencing factors of health literacy. CONCLUSIONS We summarize research progress in the field of digital health literacy and reveal the context, trends, and trending topics of digital health literacy research through statistical analysis and network visualization. Our work can serve as a fundamental reference and directional guide for future research in this field.

Wiki is a typical representative of the User-Generated Content. Its appearance greatly promotes the creation, organization, management, and sharing of knowledge on the Internet. As articles grow rapidly in Wikis, the quality of the articles has aroused many people’s concerns. The topics on how to assess and control the quality of articles have attracted many researchers. However, few studies have been conducted to investigate the status of this research topic. This chapter explores the current research status and trends of wikis' quality and governance. The authors selected papers from the databases of ISI, EI, IEEE, and other widely used databases. They reported the trends and research of wikis’ quality and governance using bibliometric analysis and content analysis of a total of 99 relevant papers. The results show that although the research topics in the field have experienced a very rapid development, they are still at an early age that lacks theories to support them. The discipline of Library and Information Science was found to play a very active role in this new area. Future research agenda and directions are also discussed.

For  decades  in  both  Europe  and  the  United  states  ,  the issue  of  compensation  for  victims  f  medical  injuries  has  led  to lively debates.  Many scholars have analyzed the adverse effects of the  „tort  system”  (based  on  negligence  standards  and  court proceedings) on the increasing costs of insurance premiums, on the patient-doctor  relationship  and  the  quality  of  care.  These  debates have  led  to  changes  in  compensation  in  some  countries. Compensation  would  be  based  not  on  negligence,  but  rather  on  a broader avoidable medical injury standard. Some nations have long operated  administrative  schemes  based  on  no  fault  principle.  No fault  compensaton  model  for  victims  of  medical  injuries  might  be characterized by the choices it makes regarding some key issues: (a) the definiton of compensation criteria in particular the status given to fault; (b) the organization of the decision -making process. What type  of  body  adjudicates  medical  claims?  (c)  Who  finances  the mechanism. What injuries are likely to be compensated for, to what extent and by whom? This article reviews the origins and operations of the no fault systems, the evolution of their compensation criteria, and how these criteria are actually applied.

International scientific publication is one of the activities that help improve the quality of scientific research and develop the brand name of the university. This paper presents some key features of Thu Dau Mot University’s international scientific publications through statistics from 2015 to 2020 based on the following criteria: the number of publications in international journals (included ISI, Scopus and non-ISI, Scopus), field of science, gender and research collaboration. In addition, this paper will discuss some initial identifications: (1) the number of international scientific publications has grown rapidly and steadily over the years; (2) the number of international scientific publications is concentrated in the natural science, engineering and technology; (3) social science and education’s contribution in international scientific publications has been limited;(4) there is a significant difference in the number of international scientific publications between male and female scholars; (5) Research collaboration has an important role in the international scientific publications of Thu Dau Mot University.

The objective of this study was to quantitatively evaluate scientific publications on cattle foot and claw diseases using the Scopus database. A combination of keywords "hoof disease AND bovine OR cattle OR cow" was used. Publications were classified according to the type, language, subject area, source title, author, affiliation, and country/territory. The documents were grouped later into thematic topics. The diseases evaluated in each study were quantified separately and in related groups, and distributed by decades. The frequencies of the thematic topics and diseases were compared by the chi-square test for adherence. In total, 642 publications were analyzed (595 articles, 46 reviews, and 1 note). Most of these papers were written in English (518). The main subject areas were Veterinary; Agricultural and Biological Sciences; and Biochemistry, Genetics, and Molecular Biology. Journal of Dairy Science was the journal that published most articles in the area, with the best citations (SCImago Journal Rank = 1.21). The authors with the highest number of publications were Johann Kofler with 19, and David Nixon Logue and Jan Keith Shearer with 18 documents each. By affiliation, the institution with the highest number of publications was the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. By country or territory, the United States of America (22%), the United Kingdom (17%), Germany (11%), and Canada (10%) together accounted for 60% of the publications. The classification of the documents into thematic topics resulted in four groups: Specific hoof diseases (70%), General hoof diseases (14%), Lameness (11%), and Healthy hoof characterization (5%). Eighteen foot and claw diseases have been studied, with the following being the most frequent: digital dermatitis (17%), sole ulcer (15%), and white line disease (11%). When grouped, laminitis-related diseases represented 48% and infectious diseases represented 38% of the studies. Overall, just over half a century of research on cattle foot and claw diseases, bovine digital dermatitis is the most studied disease. Grouping related disorders revealed that laminitis-related diseases are being studied more than infectious diseases since the 1980s, from when studies on individual foot diseases in cattle increased to the detriment of studies that aimed to evaluate them as a unique problem. Our study, the first scientometric analysis in the subject area, compiles valuable information that can help researchers to develop future projects.

Rapid development by innovative enterprises is the goal of Optics Valley of China. Currently 1,951 hi-tech companies have started operations in the valley. The anchor industries include optoelectronic information, bioengineering and medicine, environmental protection and energy saving, high-end equipment manufacturing and hi-tech services. Since 2000, the average annual economic growth rate of Optics Valley has been nearly 30%. Optics Valley continues to upgrade the development of an open economy and to attract international well-known companies with the advantage of location, policy, industry and environment. A strategic agreement between Optics Valley of China and Silicon Valley of the United States was signed in February 2012. Economic development and people’s livelihood are always the priorities in China. Toward that end, Optics Valley has adopted a framework of requirements specifying the social security responsibility of the foreign-funded enterprises in the valley as a step to accelerate the formation of a social security system. This article analyses the status of industry development, the region’s investment environment and the regulations governing social security in Optics Valley. The intent is to help foreign entrepreneurs interested in establishing an operation in Optics Valley.

With the rapid development of IC and photovoltaic industry, the requirements of larger-diameter, better productivity, higher machining accuracy and finer surface quality of silicon wafers challenge traditional wafer cutting technology. Therefore, in terms of increasing wafers’ diameter, lessening slicing thickness, reducing cutting loss and improving machining efficiency, research and application of precision cutting technology become necessary and urgent. The paper analyzes current well-developed technologies and equipments of free abrasive wire cutting in detail. It is recommended that bonded abrasive diamond wire cutting will be the development trend in the future as a highly-efficient, low material waste and environmentally friendly technology of precise cutting of silicon wafers. The paper also makes a discussion on construction, working principle, and manufacturing technology of bonded abrasive diamond wires.

AbstractHealth technology assessment (HTA) has increasingly become a valuable tool to examine effectiveness, quality of care, patient outcomes, and cost-effectiveness of health care technologies. In 1994 and 1995, a survey was conducted to document the scope of worldwide HTA activities; 103 organizations from 24 countries responded. This paper summarizes the results of this international survey, including a description of each country's program, types of technologies assessed, methodologies used, and dissemination approaches. Results for Canada, the United States, and European and other countries are presented separately.
