This article presents a behavioural analysis of tourists visiting a leisure area in the north of Spain to evaluate their reaction when faced with a series of tariffs and alternative transport modes to estimate potential income for reinvestment in sustainable mobility policies. The active involvement of the different groups affected by the changes has led to a series of policies able to generate income for financing a new urban transport service, park and ride installations and their associated vehicles. These changes resulted in a noteworthy improvement in the quality of life of the local residents and an improved, less intense tourist experience.

Geographically, Indonesia is an archipelago with a sea area larger than land, but unfortunately the potential of the coast has not been utilized properly. This is not an exception to Kampung Dadap, which is an area on the coast of the North Java coast that borders the Tangerang and DKI Jakarta Regencies. The majority of the people of Dadap Fishermen Village, who work as fishermen and roadside traders, do not have activity support facilities as a place for them to express their activities, so that their economic potential does not develop, making the fishermen's village appear to be a dead village due to lack of visitors. In responding to the problems that arise, this project aims to make the Fish Market a supporting facility for fishery activities that can attract visitors, which can improve the quality of life of the Dadap Fishermen Village community in dwelling, social and economic context. This project is aimed at all communities, especially around the Dadap Kosambi Fisherman Village area. With the modern market concept of "disprogramming method", it is hoped that the middle to lower and upper middle class people of the economy can join forces to form mutually beneficial activities. This project also provides supporting facilities that can invite newcomers to develop the economic potential of local residents and can improve the quality of life for fishing village communities. With this, the quality of life of the people of Kampung Nelayan Dadap, in the context of dwelling, social and economic life will improve. Key words: Disprogramming; Facility; Fishermen; Market; Village.

The development of electro-mobility is one of the centerpieces of European country attempts to reduce carbon emissions and increase the quality of life in cities. The goals of reducing emissions from the transport sector and phasing out fossil-fueled vehicles in (urban) transport by 2050 present unrivaled opportunities to foster electro-mobility. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the literature and provides a detailed analysis of the current development of electro-mobility in Europe, assessing social, economic, and environmental aspects under a circular economy (CE) context. It also examines the existing challenges and suggests ways of addressing them towards improving the environmental performance of electro-mobility and the urban quality of life. The paper argues that a narrow technology-only agenda in electro-mobility will be less successful without the imperative of the CE, including not just materials and resources but also energy, to unlock the medium-term co-benefits of de-carbonization of both the transport as well as the building and energy sectors. The paper critically reviews some of the anticipated future developments that may guide the growth of this rapidly growing field into a CE.

This article describes how the attitudes and perception of residents can directly affect ecotourism development by changing the ability to generate income, employment and by improving the quality of life. This article identifies and assesses the impacts of ecotourism in the communities in Mysore, India. Ecotourism impact was measured by a 26 item scale measuring local residents' perceptions and attitudes. Data was collected using the questionnaire method with 221 randomly distributed questionnaires collected. This article reveals there was significant support to further tourism development since the residents perceived that there was increased investment in infrastructures and a higher quality of life, increased employment opportunities – especially for a population with deep roots in agriculture. Now, there was an increased chance for residents to explore other jobs in the tourism industry and improved pride in their cultures and traditions in the community. Furthermore, to ensure the success of tourism development, an increased amount of involvement and participation from local residents is pertinent.

This study aims to examine the impact of specific dimensions of tourism impacts on Hong Kong residents’ satisfaction with the quality of life. While factor analysis is used to explore the attributes and dimensions of tourism impacts, multiple regression analysis is employed to determine the tourism impacts on residents’ satisfaction with the quality of life. It is evident from the results that two of the five dimensions of tourism impacts have positive influence on residents’ satisfaction. Image and infrastructure are found to be the important determinant factors in explaining the satisfaction. The impacts of environment, economy, and services in affecting satisfaction seem to be insignificant. In order to maintain tourism sustainability in Hong Kong, the local residents’ perception should be taken into consideration. Recommendations are provided to achieve mutual benefits and harmonious development.

While self-report of overall quality of life has been widely examined, there are no studies that explore the impact of the relative importance people give to the various categories of their quality of life. Therefore, with a quantitative methodology and a co-relational transverse design, we analyze differences in the assessment when the importance given to each category is evaluated. Participants were 530 students from the city of Antofagasta in the North of Chile, aged between 15 and 18 years. They were from subsidized, public secondary schools and private and state universities in the city who were assessed using the KIDSCREEN-27 questionnaire. Results: Differences were found in the assessment of categories when results were analyzed based on gender and age and when incorporating an assessment of importance. Even when the results were not conclusive, there was evidence of a need to incorporate an importance variable when assessing quality of life.
