About Using the Complex Method in Studies of the Quality of Life of the Population of the North Ossetia

This article is devoted to the application of an integrated approach in the study of the quality of life of the population of the North Ossetia. Aspects of the specifity of objective and subjective approaches are substantiated. The increasing importance of the concept of “quality of life” in the XXI century is indicated. A review of sociological studies of the level and quality of life in Russia, as well as a range of monographic works on the analyzed issues. The results of empirical sociological studies in 2014 and 2018 (a study of the quality and standard of living of the population of North Ossetia and a study of the social wellbeing of the population of North Ossetia using the methodology developed by Lapin N. I. and Belyaeva L. A.) are presented.

The article describes the role of linguistic security in the digital era society and the advantages of the innovation associated with using distance alternative services (DAS) in education with the purpose of implementing training programs and developing communities within specific territories. The multi-innovative approach, described in the article, presupposes implementing the initiatives of the President of the Russian Federation and developing mechanisms for achieving the goals specified in the national program “New Quality of Life 2024” which seeks to improve the social wellbeing of the population of Russia, of partners within the “inner circle,” and of member countries of the commonwealths identified in the UN project in the field of education, aimed at sustainable development and collective security, including linguistic security.

Disorders of sex development is a complex interaction between biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors, making it necessary for the multidisciplinary team to decide on the individualized patient basis. The characteristics of the individual patient, family and the social background are taken into consideration in order to derive maximum benefit. In developing countries, many people living with disorders of sex development faced serious psychological and social traumas such as marginalization, rejection, isolation, feeling of sadness, feeling of uncertainty, and feeling of shame. Therefore, this study explores the social wellbeing and quality of life of people with disorders of sex development in Nigeria. We used qualitative phenomenological approach to explore the social wellbeing and quality of people with disorders of sex development in Nigeria. We recruited thirteen participants using purposive sampling technique from Usmanu Danfodiyo Teaching Hospital Sokoto, Nigeria. We conducted data collection exercise using face to face interviews, transcribed, and analysed using interpretative phenomenological analysis technique with the aid of NVivo software. Four themes emerged from the data that describe the social wellbeing and quality of life of people with disorders of sex development in Nigeria. These themes are socialization and social isolation, intimate relationships, sexuality, and relationships with people. Participants experienced social isolation, marital problems, poor sexual experience, absence of sexual pleasure and stigmatization. People with disorders of sex development had poor social wellbeing which negatively affects their quality of life. Findings would inform the multidisciplinary team the need to incorporate social wellbeing of people with disorders of sex development in their treatment and the need to explore public perception on people living with disorders of sex development in Nigeria.

Currently, the quality of life of the population is determined by economic, social conditions, and the standard of living of people. In this regard, it is necessary to pay more attention to the development of the socio-economic sphere, the comprehensive introduction of new modern technologies that increase the level of comfort, quality of living, and accessibility of the environment. These and other factors largely determine its stability and stability. The integrated approach and experience of innovative development of the municipality of the Khimki city district administration can be used in many other regions of our country.

The article deals with the problems of poverty in modern Russia, assessment of the state and measures to reduce its scale. The main threats to the social development of territorial entities are the low standard of living of the population and the spread of poverty. The main indicators that characterize the level of poverty in Russia and its regions are analyzed: the share of the population with monetary incomes below the subsistence rate, credit debts of Russians and their social well-being. Official statistics and the results of sociological research confirm the low indicators of the quality of life of the population of the territorial entities.

Analyzed is the problem of implementing infrastructure projects as one of resources of local governments and authorities in general for high-quality social development. Special attention is paid to studying the impact of infrastructure projects on quality of life of citizens, as well as identifying influence of managerial decisions of authorities on the quality of life in Russian cities. The article concludes, that new sociological studies identifying the pain points of regions and study the public demand for implementation of various types of infrastructure projects can become an additional motivation, and attract attention from public authorities to the issues, raised in the article, and as a result would contribute to creating a comfortable urban environment, as well as improving the standard of living of population.

The consequence of unemployment is a poor standard of the population. Life standard in the social and economic spheres transposes contradiction in the political system. Departure of professional forces abroad and losing most vital segments of the population in  whose education and training is spent a fifth of the budget. Quality of life depends on many factors, of which in this paper we point out: the conditions in which we work and live, housing and health conditions, possibilities to meet the cultural, sports, entertainment, and numerous other requirements and needs of a modern man. Economic sphere determines the standard of living of every man.

This topic is relevant because local government is a very important element in building a democratic society in the Russian Federation. According to the current Constitution of Russia, local government bodies are the basis of the democratic system, as well as one of the key factors in the development of civil society in the country. In this regard, the authors decided to study the activities of municipal authorities and understand their role and importance in improving the level and quality of life of the population in the regions of Russia. The article describes the activities of local government bodies, their main purposes, tasks and functions, and describes a number of problems that local authorities may face when performing their municipal tasks. The authors considered such terms as «standard of living» and «quality of life» and defined them. In the article, the authors provide a detailed list of ways to improve the level and quality of life of the population in the region. The authors also tried to identify their role and significance in the socio-economic development of municipalities. As an example, which shows the competent work of local government bodies in the implementation of social policy, the municipal district of Tekstilschiky in Moscow was taken. The social policy of this municipality was considered in the system of providing social services to the population in the state budget institution territorial center for social services Kuzminki branch Tekstilschiky for 2020. In general, the authors express the hope that their article will be in demand in scientific circles, since it is part of their master's dissertation. The relevance of the research topic is due to the fact that the activities of local self-government bodies should be aimed at the comprehensive development of the municipality in social and economic terms. It is worth saying that today the problem of the effectiveness of local self-government bodies has not yet been fully studied, as a result of which many scientists and experts are puzzled by this issue. The purpose of the study is to analyze the activities of the local government to improve standard of living and quality of life of the population and to determine the main directions of its improvement.

Quality of life and satisfaction with life as tightly interconnected concepts have become of much importance in the urbanism era. No doubt, it is one of the most important goals of every human society to enhance a citizen’s quality of life and to increase their satisfaction with life. However, there are many signs which demonstrate the low level of life satisfaction of Iranian citizens especially among the youth. Thus, considering the temporal concept of life satisfaction, this research aims to make a futures study in this field. Therefore, using a mixed model and employing research methods from futures studies, life satisfaction among the students of the University of Tehran were measured and their views on this subject investigated. Both quantitative and qualitative data were analysed together in order to test the hypotheses and to address the research questions on the youth discontentment with quality of life. Findings showed that the level of life satisfaction among students is relatively low and their image of the future is not positive and not optimistic. These views were elicited and discussed in the social, economic, political, environmental and technological perspectives. Keywords:  futures studies, quality of life, satisfaction with life, youth

Subject. This article deals with the issues of social justice and a high quality of life, creating favorable economic and social conditions. Objectives. The article aims to assess the rate and changes in poverty in Russia and the Republic of Bashkortostan and develop complementary measures to reduce it. Methods. For the study, I used the methods of logical, comparative, economic and statistical analyses, the results of sociological studies, and official statistics. Results. The article highlights additional measures to reduce poverty in the region, including the establishment of a minimum social standard of living in each particular region that determines the poverty rate. Conclusions. Various factors, such as economic sanctions, economic slowdowns, territorial and regional imbalances, lead to living standards decline and poverty rise.
