The new habits of tourist consumption favor the rise of cultural tourism, either as the primary or complementary offer of a destination. Therefore, it is necessary to deepen the study of the behavior of cultural tourism demand. This research aims to develop a structural model that allows measuring the main variables that affect the satisfaction and loyalty of the internal demand of the cultural tourist to a heritage destination. The results are helpful for the design of tourism management. The hypotheses posited have been tested using non-linear structural equations (SEM), estimated with data from the National Statistics Institute on internal demand for cultural tourism in Spain (n = 18,024). The results confirm the importance of socio-cultural variables and the tourist’s experience on fidelity to the visited destination. Furthermore, the negative relationship between the repetition of the visit and satisfaction is striking.

The objective of this study is to identify the dimensions that motivate Spanish tourist demand by autonomous community of destination, from the trips as made by Spanish travellers recorded by the Resident Tourism Survey (ETR) for the year 2016, as prepared by the National Statistics Institute. The nature of the data requires the use of appropriate statistical methodology: the factorial technique called Simple Correspon‑ dence Analysis. After this analysis, the dimensions of the demand related to leisure were identified as pursuit of sun and sand; nature and / or sports tourism, and cultural tourism together with professional reasons and personal dimensions of visits to family and friends. These dimensions allow us to characterise each Spanish autonomous community according to national tourism demand, and to analyse their relative competitive posi‑ tion in relation to the diversity and structure of their tourism offer. The results obtained are a starting point for other research in subsequent years, given that the year analysed is the first with complete RTE data

The aim of this research is to propose and validate a conceptual model that measures the degree of satisfaction of cultural tourists. The model could help us to better understand this segment of the market and identify factors that explain the degree of customer satisfaction. In terms of methodology, a hypothetical-deductive method has been applied. After reviewing the literature, five hypotheses have been proposed, integrated into an exploratory model. The model has been validated by a structural equations model (SEM) and estimated with data from the Survey on Resident Tourism/FAMILITUR, conducted by the Spanish National Statistics Institute (INE). The results assess the significance of sociocultural variables and tourist experience, and the null influence of satisfaction as a predictor of repeat visits. The model permits confirming a set of appropriate variables to analyze the satisfaction of Spanish internal demand with a cultural motivation, on local trips. Given the growing importance of cultural tourism worldwide, the proposed model can become an interesting tool for the management of the touristic positioning of destinations with a cultural heritage, as it helps us to understand the satisfaction and loyalty of the tourist flow.

Objective: The objective of this research is to develop a structural model for measuring cultural tourism behavior, which helps to better understand the profile, motivation, and behavior of Spanish cultural tourists in their trips within Spain and abroad. Methodology: A hypothetic-deductive method has been used where, after reviewing the literature, focusing on the importance of considering the client’s experience, a set of hypotheses are presented that materialize in an exploratory model. These hypotheses are later tested through a system of structural equations (SEM), estimated with data contained in the Tourism Survey of Residents / FAMILITUR of the National Institute of Statistics (INE). Results: The model allows confirming a set of indicators that make it possible to analyze the behavior of Spanish cultural tourists in their trips within Spain, in the different Autonomous Communities (Comunidades Autónomas). Limitations: The variables present in the Resident Tourism Survey/FAMILITUR are framed in the general guidelines given by the World Tourism Organization to study the demand, establishing a general framework and not as specific as would be required for a more segmented study of the demand for cultural tourism. Practical implications: Help to make decisions that facilitate an improvement of the management of tourist destinations with cultural heritage, implementing specific promotional and marketing tourism policies that generate social and economic profitability in the destination.

Corporate governance systems are developed to govern corporations, build trust and create sustainable value for all stakeholders. Paradoxically, in spite of massive efforts in developing governance systems, corporate scandals are persisting. Different studies have strongly recommended business ethics as a solution to this paradox. Thus, this study explores if business ethics supports corporate governance practices in a sample of Algerian corporations. The study used a mixed methodology; qualitative: since this subject is poorly addressed in the Algerian context that requires an exploratory study. Quantitative by developing a structural model demonstrating the relationship between business ethics and corporate governance, Data for the study were collected by means of a questionnaire distributed on an anonymous basis to corporations’ senior managers in Sidi Bel Abbes district. Treatment of collected data is done using two types of analysis: the structural equations modeling approach by using the PLS Path approach (PLS Path Modeling) and linear regression. The study finds out that business ethics leads to better levels of corporate governance and supports its practices; and the reason is mainly due to an implicit involuntary commitment to laws as a minimum required level of compliance, and that the protection of stakeholders’ rights are the most important corporate governance’s dimension affected by business ethics.

Yields of arable crops are commonly lower on the crop margins or headlands, but the nature of the relationship between yield and distance from the crop edge has not been clearly defined, nor have the reasons for lower marginal yields. Surveys of 40 winter wheat headlands were carried out in 2 years to determine how yield changed with distance, and what factors might influence this relationship. Two field experiments were also conducted over 3 years in winter cereal headlands, in which the effect of distance was measured under conservation headland and conventional (fully sprayed) management.Yields in the headland surveys varied from 0·8 to 10·2 t/ha. An inverse polynomial regression model was fitted to yield and weed data. Best fits were obtained by using separate parameters for each site. Adjusting yields to take account of weed dry matter improved the non-linear fit between yield and distance from crop edge. Field experiments provided similar results but the non-linear relationship was not as apparent. There was a negative relationship between soil compaction, as measured by a cone penetrometer, and yield in one field experiment, where soil density values were relatively constant. No relationship was found between pattern of nitrogen fertilizer application and yield. Conservation headland management resulted in lower yield at one experimental site, especially in the third year, but not at the other site. Where yields were affected, weed dry matter was higher in conservation headland plots than in fully sprayed plots.Although greater weed competition appears to account for at least part of the observed yield reductions on headlands, the role of other factors, particularly soil compaction, needs further study. Increased weed infestation may be an indirect result of reduced crop competition caused by other adverse conditions.

Understanding and being able to measure, analyze, compare, and contrast the image of a tourism destination, also known as tourism destination image (TDI), is critical in tourism management and destination marketing. Although various methodologies have been developed, a consistent, reliable, and scalable method for measuring TDI is still unavailable. This study aims to address the challenge by proposing a framework for a holistic measure of TDI in four dimensions, including popularity, sentiment, time, and location. A structural model for TDI measurement that covers various aspects of a tourism destination is developed. TDI is then measured by a comprehensive computational framework that can analyze complex textual and visual data on a large scale. A case study using more than 30,000 images, and 10,000 comments in relation to three tourism destinations in Australia demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed framework.

This study proposed and tested a model of mathematics achievement and its relations to antecedent and subsequent factors using structural equations modeling. A sample of elementary school students in Al-Ain school district ( n = 394) completed an Arabic version of the Self-description Questionnaire as well as a questionnaire measuring their perception of the importance of mathematics, anxiety about it, and the amount of effort they exerted in studying. Mathematics grades were obtained from the official school records. Importance and effort were positively related to achievement which in turn had a positive path coefficient to self-concept and a negative path to anxiety. The hypothesized model explained 40%, 64%, and 73% of the variance in achievement, self-concept, and anxiety, respectively. The results can be interpreted as indicating that achievement is an important outcome and antecedent construct within the proposed model.

The people of Yogyakarta are known for their tolerance, where people of different religions can coexist peacefully especially with Javanese traditions. But in Mangir, a village in Bantul, Yogyakarta, in November 12, 2019, there was a case of local residents rejecting the procession of ancestral prayer rituals by the Paguyuban Padma Buana (PPB) who claims to be followers of Javanese Hinduism. This study aimed at disclosing the elements and roots of conflict from the Mangir community's rejection towards Paguyuban Padma Buana. As a case study, it used conflict analysis approach through timeline and factor analysis techniques. The results showed that the open conflict between the two groups has occurred since 2012 with the main issue of syncretic ritual practices of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Kejawen (Javanism) that involve people from various religions. In addition, the Maha Lingga Padma Buana Temple as a place of whorship and rituals has also the license problems. Reconciliation was carried out between residents with the Padma Buana followers in 2015. Unfortunately it was violated by the Paguyuban Padma Buana and became a trigger of conflict back in 2019. The cause of this conflict is multiple factors, all of which are interrelated. However, the root cause of the problem among Mangir people is mostly related to traditional revivalism and the distribution of cultural tourism management authorities. This conflict makes them polarized and vulnerable to interests that can create the village atmosphere worse
