Influence of feed additive with low degree of protein degradability on indicators of nitrogen metabolism in steers body during fattening

The development of beef cattle breeding and obtaining high-quality beef in Russia is currently one of the important tasks. The results of investigations on the influence of a feed additive with a low degree of protein breakdown on the efficiency of nitrogen use in the body of fattening steers and their productivity traits have been presented in the paper. The ration of steers included the feed additive as the source of hard-to-break down protein, which includes components of animal origin (feather fl our, fi sh meal, poultry waste), which have the high biological value of protein and its low degradation in the rumen. The feed additive was introduced into the daily ration at a dose of 1,5 g/kg of live weight. The accounting period of the experiment was 92 days. The degree of protein breakdown in the feed additive was determined on fistula animals in sacco, which was 55,2 %. The feed additive contains (%): 40–43 crude protein, 20–25 crude fat, 2,2 lysine, 1,9 methionine, 2,6 tryptophan, 1,5 calcium, 6,5 phosphorus. It has been found that the introduction of the protein additive with the low protein breakdown in the dose of 1,5 g/kg of live weight into the ration of steers had the positive influence on the indicators of the biochemical composition of blood, digestion in rumen, promoted better use of feed nitrogen and increased the productivity of fattening steers. There were significant differences in the increase in nitrogen deposition in the body of the experimental group of steerls by 29,5 %; the coefficients of nitrogen use from the feed consumed and from the digested increased by 5,57 and 7,71 abs.%, respectively. The average daily weight gain of the steers in the experimental group was 1102,17 g, which was 11,79 % higher compared to the animals of the control group that did not receive the protein additive. The research results indicate the effectiveness of the use of protein feed additive in the ration of young cattle during fattening.

The article gives scientific substantiation of using silicon-containing new feed additive “Energosil” for replacement gilts. The studies were conducted in pig-breeding complex of the Center for Practical Training of Agricultural Specialists in Mordovia Republic. There were three experimental groups of replacement gilts (10 animals each). The effect of various dosages of Energosil (5.0, 7.5, and 10 mg per kg of body weight) on digestibility, nutrient utilization, and animal growth energy was studied. The most optimal dosage of a new feed additive in their rations was revealed, which constituted 5 mg / kg of the animal live weight. It was established that the animals from the first experimental group, who received silicon-containing feed additives of this amount digested the nutrients of the diet better than their counterparts from the other groups. Compared to the control group, the digestibility of dry matter increased by 3.62% (p<0.05), organic matter by 3.29% (p<0.01), crude protein by 4.09% (p<0.001), fat by 4.30% (p<0.01), cellulose by 3.79% (p<0.01) and nitrogen-free extractives by 2.03% (p>0.05).Replacement gilts of the first experimental group, who were given Energosil in the amount of 5 mg / kg body weight in addition to the basic ration, retained nitrogen in their bodies by 17.1%, calcium by 55.9% and phosphorus by 69.7% more than their counterparts from the control group. It contributed to an increase in body weight of gilts from the first group compared to control counterparts by 10.8%. Increased dosages of Energosil (7.5 and 10 mg / kg body weight) also had a better effect on the growth energy of gilts compared with the control group. The feed additive in the amount of 7.5 mg kg of animal  live weight contributed to an increase in animal weight compared with control counterparts by 6.21 kg or 4.8% (p<0.05), with a third experimental group by 4.4 kg or by 3.4% (p<0.05). When given Energosil in the dosage of 10 mg/kg, the body weight of gilts from the third experimental group was higher by 1.81 kg or 1.4% (p> 0.05) compared with the control counterparts.

Aim. The effectiveness of the use of the mineral feed additive bischofit in the diets of young sheep in the South of Russia at various doses and its impact on the productive qualities of young sheep. Materials and Methods. The material for conducting the experiment in this household was the livestock of sheep of the Grozny breed on fattening. The sheep of the control group received a basic household diet, the I experimental group received 5 ml of bischofite per head per day in addition to the main diet, the II experimental group received 8 ml of feed additive. Classical zootechnical methods were used in the process of work, including wool yield and physical and technological properties were studied individually in 3 experimental animals from each group according to the VNIIOK method. The research materials were processed by the methods of variation statistics using the Microsoft Office software package. Results. Young sheep from the I experimental group, who received bischofite at 5 ml / head per day, were 9.4% more in live weight than in the control group. Young sheep that received 5 ml of feed additive had the best meat index, and exceeded the control group in terms of pulp yield by 12.5%. The maximum deviation from the average value of the cut of pure wool in the upward direction (110.6%) was observed in I experimental group. The most durable wool of 7.24 sN / tex is found in the group that received the bischofit feed additive as part of the main diet. Conclusion. To compensate for the lack of mineral substances of the natural and environmentally safe feed additive bischofit at a dose of 5 ml / head per day, it changes the metabolic reactions in the body in a positive way, which is confirmed by an increase in the growth of live weight and wool productivity.

Among the environmental factors, feeding is the most important in the formation of new traits and properties. The level of feeding influences first of all on the digestive system. Then the nature of feeding affects the organs associated with the utilization of nutrients, and ultimately the body as a whole. The purpose of the researches was to study the correlation between productive and hematological parameters in steers against the background of the use of the feed additive Biovitel. The research has been carried out under the environments of JSC “SHF Dubrovsky” in the Chelyabinsk region on steers of Hereford breed. In order to carry out experiments 2 groups of steers (control and experimental) have been formed with 10 heads in each. The method of pair-analogues has been used taking into account the genotype, age, birth weight and physiological state of animals. The experiment has been conducted from 6- to 15-month-old steers. The control group has been received the main farm ration. The experimental group has been received the basic ration and additional feed additive Biovitel at the rate of 100 g/head/ day for 15 days. The correlation between hematological parameters and productivity of steers against the background of the use of the feed additive Biovitel has been determined. During the study a positive correlation between the total protein and protein fractions with the live weight of steers has been observed. High correlation coefficients have been obtained in steers of both groups at the age of 9 months. The amount of total lipids in all age periods in both groups changed relatively little, but the trend of their increase in steers of the experimental group remained. The concentration of phospholipids in the control group was almost at the same level, and in the experimental group there was an excess of control values by 5,52 %. Activation of redox processes in the animal body has been observed under the action of the feed protein additive Biovitel.

Currently it has become popular to use different feed additives that allow us to increase the indicators of live weight gain by accelerating the metabolic processes in the body of animals, which allows us to take everything from the feed and to the maximum. With the advent of this trend in the market the range of feed additives in different directions has increased. For the research we have selected Vermiculite Expanded as a feed additive. The purpose of the research was to search the dynamics of changes in blood parameters in experimental steers in comparison with the control group against the background of the use of the feed additive Vermiculite Expanded. An assessment of blood parameters of Kazakh White-headed steers against the background of the use of mineral feed additive has been presented in the article. Three groups of steers have been formed for the research: the 1st group has been as a control and received the main economic ration; the 2nd and 3rd experimental groups received the feed additive to the main feeding ration in doses of 10 and 15 g/head for the groups, respectively. On the laboratory base blood tests we were able to search the correlation between morphological and biochemical parameters of blood and the growth rate of experimental steers. The steers of the 2nd and 3rd groups during the experiment had an advantage in blood serum indicators in terms of both total lipids and glucose, in the end, the difference in percentage ratio with the control group was 14,08 % in the 2nd group and 12,60 % in the 3rd experimental group. It is worth noting that the concentration of phosphorus and calcium in the blood was at the high level, which in our opinion reflects the influence of the feed additive Vermiculite Expanded.

The scientific results of the body weight dynamics, the multiplicity of its increase, the average daily weight gain, the relative growth rate and the exterior indicators are presented. The brewers waste is a high-protein product with a high content of carbohydrates, including fiber.For the research, three groups of Jersey breed were formed on the principle of the analogue group: the first was control, the second and the third – experimental. Their rations were introduced by 15 % and 20 % of dry brewers waste from the total diet, respectively. It was established that the live weight of the experimental cows from the 2nd group was 9.3 times bigger. The live weight of the experimental cows from the 1st and 3rd group increased 9 times. The cows from the 2nd group had the highest average daily weight gain (811.4 g) in the period from 2 to 6 months. It was 3.2 % times more than in the control group and 7.4 % times more than in the 3rd experimental group. The cows from the 2nd experimental group had the highest relative growth rate (85.7 %) in the period from 2 to 6 months which was 2.2 % times more than in the 1st control group and 4.2% times more than in the 3rd experimental group. In the period from 6 to 12 months, the 2nd experimental group had the highest average daily weight gain (671.4 g), which was 2.1 % more than in the 1st control group and 3.5 % more than in the 3rd experimental group. From 6 to 12 months the relative growth rate in all groups was almost the same and ranged from 54.2% – 54.7 %. At the age of 12 months, the 1st control group had greater index (120.4). The 3rd experimental group had 119.6 and the 2nd – 118.6. The 2nd group of the same age had better shooting index than the 1st control group 0.7 % times more and the 3rd group 1.4 % times more. Mycotoxins cause severe diseases in organisms of human and animals. They are difficult to diagnose, cause great economic damage. Sorbents are able to effectively bind and remove from the body through the digestive tract with a therapeutic or prophylactic purpose various endogenous and ekzogenous substances, microorganisms and they toxins, supermolecular structures and cells. The aim of the work is to study the effectiveness of use of Alfasorb for the neutralization of mixed fodders affected by mycotoxins and they impact on blood’s indexes and productive qualities of piglets of Large White Breed. Experience was conducted on 30 ty piglets. Animals of the control group received mixed feed that was produced in the conditions of the farm. The pigs of experimental group in addition to the basic diet received Alfasorb. We determined blood’s indexes for study the effect of feed additive Alfasorb on the physiological state of animals at 4 months of age. A morphological and histological study of liver was carried out. The analysis of the average daily weight gain of piglets showed that it was higher in period of growth in the animals of experimental group. In the animals of the experimental groups there was an increase in the number of red blood cells in comparison with the control. An unreliable decrease in blood serum levels which characterize the level of intermediate metabolism of proteins in the body (content of urea, creatinine and common bilirubin) was established in the animals of the experimental group as compared to the control group respectively by 22.83% ( td = 0.98, P ≤ 0.05), 7.12% (td = 1.92, P ≤ 0.05) and by 20.54% (td = 0.86, P ≤ 0.05). Most hepatocytes had large nucleus and intense color of the cytoplasm. This indicates the absence of alterative processes in the body. The results of the studies make it possible to assert that the inclusion the 0.2% Alfasorb to the compound of feed which contaminated with mycotoxins significantly reduces their negative effect on the piglets organism, has a positive effect on the growth rate, on the course of metabolic processes, also it promotes an increase in the liver of medium-sized hepatocyte nuclei, stimulates biosynthetic processes in that cells and ensures the formation of a full structure of histohematological barriers in the organism.

The effect of Phytoplus on weaned piglets was studied for the period of 50 days in 2018 and the influence of Algasol preparation on pregnant sows was investigated during 60 days in 2017. Phytoplus contains extracts from Rhaponticum carthamoides, Serratula coronate, and Filipendula ulmaria plants. It was administered daily, against the background of the control, into the diet of piglets aged from 40 to 90 days (n = 50 in the group): group No. 1 ‒ 0.3 g; group No. 2 ‒ 0.5 g; group No. 3 ‒ 1 gram per head per day. When Phytoplus was used, livability of piglets in all groups was 100%, the incidence in the experimental groups (2.3±0.3 heads) was 1.6-2.5 times lower than in the control group (5 heads). The live weight in the experimental groups (48,3±5,9 ‒ 51,4±7,5 кг) exceeded the result in the control group (41.8 kg) by 15-22%, and the intensity of the average daily weight gain by 24-33% (764,0±3,0 g ‒ 818,0±4,3 g against 616±2,2 g). Significant difference (P <0.05) was observed in piglets of the 3rd group, where AST increased, as compared with the beginning of the experiment, by 21.3% (from 15.9±0.6 to 19.3±0.5 units / l), and ALT by 12% (from 23.3±1.1 to 26.1 ± 2.1 units / l) and in the 2nd group where ALT increased by 46% (from 17.7±1.3 to 23.9±1.3 units /l). Algasol is a preparation from the extracts of brown algae and licorice roots. The experiment was carried out on nursing sows of large white breed pigs (2 groups of 48 animals each) when farrowing and before weaning piglets at 28 days of age. Sows of the experimental group were given Algasol daily at a dose of 50 ml per head. Algasol optimized their overall condition. The sows of the experimental group yielded 2% (572 pigs) more than in the control (561 pigs), the stillbirth decreased by 8% (23 vs. 25 animals). The death rate in the experiment was 2.1 times lower than in the control (17 vs. 8 goals), and livability was 98.5%. It has been established that Phytoplus and Algasol exert influence on the adaptive-compensatory reactions in the body of piglets and sows, that is proved by an increase in weight gain, livability of the young, and rise in the milk yield of the sows.

The research objective is to establish Hyplus meat breed of young rabbits and to determine growth and development characteristics during the period from weaning to slaughter age under conditions of the biologically active feed additive of humic nature «Humilid» introducted into their general diet. The control and experimental groups of animals were formed according to the principle of similar groups. Experiment study lasted for 35 days, including 7 days preparatory period, 21 days research period and 7 days aftereffect period. The young rabbits of the control and experimental groups were fed with the main diet, which included compound feed with an individual calculation of nutrients per animal. The young rabbits of the experimental group were additionally injected with a biologically active feed additive «Humilid» in the form of an aqueous solution in an amount of 5 mg/kg of body weight according to the active substance to the main diet for 21 days. During the experiment, the effect of «Humilid» on the growth and development of young rabbits and their physiological state was studied. The weighing of young rabbits in the experimental groups was carried out once a week. At the same time, their body weight was determined on average and average daily growth, the safety of the livestock, in addition, the weight and mass index of the liver, heart and kidneys after slaughter by the calculation method. With the introduction of the feed additive «Humilid» to young rabbits, an increase in the body weight of the animals is observed throughout the experiment. The body weight on average of young animals of the experimental group exceeded this indicator in comparison with animals in the control group by 17.2 % (p˂0.001). Under the conditions of the introduction of the biologically active feed additive «Humilid» over the period of the experiment, the average daily weight gain of young rabbits in the experimental group was higher by 20.7 % (p˂0.01) compared to this indicator in the animals of the control group, respectively. The safety of the livestock was 100% in both groups. However, it should be noted that young rabbits of the control group had more pronounced motor activity and signs of anxiety than the animals of the experimental group, which obtained the feed additive of humic nature «Humilid». When «Humilid» was used in the diet, the mass of organs and the index of their development in young rabbits in the experimental and control groups of animals were within the range of age-related changes, which indicates the non-toxic effect of this additive.

There is a need to develop more rational technologies for rearing and fattening steers by adjusting the rations taking into account the technological features of rearing animals in this natural zone and the genetic characteristics of specific animal breeds under the modern conditions of the market economy in order to obtain high-quality products from livestock enterprises with intensive production rates. The purpose of the research was to study the influence of the feed additive expanded vermiculite on the nature of the course of lipid metabolism in steers of Kazakh White-headed breed during fattening. The experimental part of the work was performed in Terra LLP, which is located in the village of Nadezhdinka in the Karabalyksky district in the Kostanay region in the Republic of Kazakhstan. We have found the following differences in the experimental groups: in the period from 6 to 9 months of age the total lipid concentration index increased by 19 % in the control group, by 29 % in the 2nd experimental group, and by 35 % in the 3rd experimental group. This indicates the positive influence of the feed additive on the steers of the experimental groups. When the concentration of this indicator decreased in the subsequent age period, the percentage ratio between the groups remained until the age of 15 months. The mineral feed additive expanded vermiculite had the favorable influence on the growth of live weight in the experimental groups by an average of 15 % per head compared to the control group, the highest increase in live weight was observed in the 3rd experimental group, which was given the additive of 15 g/head. Therefore, the amount of drug intake in the body directly affects its positive effect on the physiological status of the animal body.

The article covers addition of chlorella suspension, its effect on nitrogen balance, digestibility of nutrients and amino acids, pig productivity. Various feed additives, micro-element mixtures, and vitamins are used in animal nutrition to deal with the deficiency ofcertain vitamins and mineral elements in the rations. The peculiarity of chlorella suspension as a feed additive is in the ability to cultivate it throughout the whole year and in the availability of optimized technologies for its cultivation and use. Chlorella suspension is rich in proteins, minerals, vitamins, fatty acids and fiber. Introduction of chlorella suspension into pigs’ diets has helped to increase the digestibility coefficients of both inessential (by 7.5 %) and essential (by 2 %) amino acids. Feeding the animals with chlorella suspension has also resulted in the release of nitrogen retained in animals’ bodies by 13 % compared to the control group. The additional use of chlorella suspension in the diet of fattening pigs (large white) was found to increase the average daily gain by 21.9% compared to the control group which did not receive chlorella suspension. The conversion of animal feed to obtain 1 kg of live weight gain in the control group was 5.1 kg, in the experimental group - 4.2 kg, and the conversion rate of feed in the experimental group was higher by 21.4 %.Feeding young pigs with chlorella suspension increases the digestibility of protein by 4.5 %, fiber by 2.0 %, fat - 0.7 %, essential amino acids - 81.6 %. The introduction of chlorella suspension to pig rations leads to an increase in the level of nitrogen in their body by 54.7 %of that taken with feed and 69.15 % of that digested in the body. Pork production profitably using chlorella suspension stood at 12.3 % , which is more by 87,8 % compared to the control group.
