The purpose of this study was to describe students' communication in solving prime factors using written and oral communication. This study uses a qualitative and descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were 46 seventh grade students of Simanjaya Lamongan, East Java, Indonesia, Middle School who had obtained prime factor material. Data analysis was obtained by using a test of prime factors and interviews. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that: 1) Written communication, as many as 40 students were able to communicate in writing with a percentage of 87% and 6 students were unable to communicate in writing with a percentage of 13%; 2) Oral communication, at this stage interviews were conducted by taking the subject as many as two students taken from one student who is able to communicate in writing and one student who is not able to communicate in writing, the results obtained that students are able to communicate in writing are also able to communicate verbally. verbally, while students who are not able to communicate in writing, it turns out that students are able to communicate orally. From the explanation above, it can be concluded that students are able to explain concepts into mathematical language, students are able to explain mathematical arithmetic operations, students are able to explain mathematical solutions and students are able to convey ideas or opinions. Thus, students can communicate in writing and orally well in solving prime factors.

The cultivation of spiritual values to learners is a very vital step in shaping the characteristics and character of the human person, because the internalization of spiritual values is closely related to the cultivation of religious values, and is part of the formation of adolescent character as the next generation of religion and nation. This research is to find out the process of planting and internalizing spiritual value education conducted at The Senior high school of Mafaza Institute located in the Maguntapan Bantul area of Yogyakarta, while the type in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach, while the subject in this study is teachers or teachers at this institution as well as some M.A. Mafaza students. While the data collected passes through the process of interviews, observations and documentation which then the author of the data analysis to draw conclusions. The results of this study show the following: 1). The process of planting and internalizing values and spiritual in this institution is carried out with an understanding of the material in the classes. 2). Then as a follow-up in the form of application in programs and activities such as requiring mandatory congregational prayers, sunnah worship and others, there are also activities such as the loving mosque and the the Adiwiata program. So from there it is seen that all aspects in value and spiritual, namely the aspect of Aqidah and Worship become the center of attention in planting to their students. So that it covers everything, either in the pattern of vertical relationship (Servant-Godnya) or horizontal (Servants and Environment).

The aim of this study is to find whetever Murder technique works effectively on improving students’ reading comprehension and to describe the students’ responses towards the application of Murder technique in the learning teaching processes of reading comprehension. The subject of the study in the seventh grade students of SMP Santo Thomas 1 Medan in the Academic Year of 2020/2021 consisting 32 students of class VII-A. This study  was conducted by applying Classroom Action Research (henceforth CAR). The result of the test showed that the students’  mean  score in pre-test is 55,00  with 16% of students got ≥ 70, in formative test is 68,13 with 38% of students got score ≥ 70, and 83,13 in post test  with 100% of students got score ≥ 70. The qualitative data analysis showed that the students’ responses after being taught by using Murder Technique are very good. The percentage students who strongly agree is 26 (81%), agree is 27 (84%), there is no students choose strongly disagree and disagree. It is suggested that the English teachers use Murder Technique as an alternative technique in teaching reading to the students in Junior High School in order to improve their students’ reading comprehension.

In 2020, the whole world has entered the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. All sectors feel the impact of this 4.0 industrial revolution, namely trade, technology, and learning that has applied digital technology in the current learning and teaching process. The changes forced by Covid-19 are so fast, that preparations for various changes are not optimal. This is also felt by the world of education, readiness to learn online (online) set by the government is almost non-existent. The subject of Islamic Religious Education in class VIII at Hang Tuah 5 Middle School in Sidoarjo uses YouTube as a medium of learning as a whole. This is because it makes it easier for educators to create material that can be accessed by all students. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of online learning and the problems of learning with youtube media on the subject of Islamic Religious Education at Hang Tuah 5 Middle School Sidoarjo. The type of research used in this research is a qualitative research with the research subject is PAI Educator, Deputy Head of Curriculum at Hang Tuah 5 Middle School Sidoarjo, using a case study approach, types and sources of qualitative and quantitative data. The data collection technique was (1) observation (2) interview (3) documentation. The data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques and the research results are described in words so as to obtain a conclusion.

This classroom action research aimed to improve the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Tondano (Public Middle School) in understanding the information of a descriptive text. This research was conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were 28 students of class VII-A. The results showed that implementing the Quick on the Draw strategy in learning to understand descriptive text information created a learning atmosphere that excites students. It allows all students to play active roles during the learning as the nine steps of Quick on the Draw place students as the subject. Students use their potentials to think independently, solve problems jointly, and obtain additional information not provided by the teachers. The final test results showed that from 28 students, 27 students (96.42%) scored above 75, and 1 student (3.58%) below the standard. The ability of students to understand classical descriptive text information was 83, beyond the Minimum Learning Mastery Standard.

The provision of food service plays an important role in achieving optimal students health status in school. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of student satisfaction with food menus served in the organization of food at the Al-Fahmi Integrated Islamic Middle School in Palu City 2019. This research is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The sample in this study was the total of the population, namely all students in grades 7 and 8, amounting to 95 people in the Al Fahmi Integrated Islamic Middle School in Palu City. Data analysis used was univariate analysis. Data analysis began with transcripts and in-depth interviews. The results of this study indicate that of the 95 respondents, 91.6% expressed satisfaction with the taste of the food served. 89.5% expressed satisfaction with the appearance of the food served, 78.9% expressed satisfaction with the portion of food served, 94.7% expressed satisfaction with the level of maturity of the food served, 87.4% expressed satisfaction with the cleanliness of the food served. The conclusion of this study was that respondents were satisfied with the food served at the Al-Fahmi Integrated Islamic Middle School in Paluri City. Suggestions from this study should make students' dining rooms and divide portions of food so that all students get equally even portions of food.

The purpose of this study was to find out how the welfare of mosques’ marbot in Surabaya from the perspective of maqashid syariah. Research on welfare is based on the phenomenon that occurs in research subjects. The subject of this research is the mosques’ marbot located in Surabaya by taking 4 mosques as the  samples with the most number based on typology. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. After the interview, the results of the study were analyzed using descriptive data analysis techniques by narrating the results of the interview and direct narration. The findings of this study are the welfare of the mosques’ marbot can not be said to be fully prosperous because many aspects have not been fulfilled, but for the mosques’ marbot not only measures sustenance based on material ownership alone but also peace of mind that is obtained because they are always close to the mosque. On the other hand, the mosques have also provided rewards and facilities that are considered appropriate to support the life and performance of the mosques’ marbot.Keywords: welfare, mosque marbot, sharia maqashid

ABSTRACT This research was conducted to describe the ineffectiveness of sentences in the text of the report on the observation of seventh grade students of State Middle School 2 Koto XI Tarusan based on sentence structure. to describe the ineffectiveness of sentences in the report text of the observation of class VII students of State Middle School 2 Koto XI Tarusan based on word choice. to describe the ineffectiveness of the sentence in the text of the report on the observations of class VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Koto XI Tarusan based on the spelling used (EBI). This type of research is qualitative with descriptive method. The data of this study are the sentences contained in the text of student observation reports. Data were analyzed by steps, namely (1) researchers investigating data sources, (2) investigating effective sentences, (3) analyzing collected data based on indicators of effective sentence assessment, (4) data analysis results examined by triangulation informants, (5 ) draw a conclusion. Based on the sentence obtained from 30 text reports on student observations. The researcher found that 182 sentences contained 115 ineffective sentences and 67 effective sentences. The ineffectiveness of the sentence caused by the sentence structure of 31 sentences. The ineffectiveness of the sentence is caused by the choice of 73 sentences. The ineffectiveness of the sentence caused by 88 sentences of using the EBI spelling.  Kata Kunci: Ketidakefektifan Kalimat, Teks Laporan Hasil Observasi

This study aims to describe 1) the form of cohesion contained in the news Watching Sakinah Movies, UIN Yogyakarta Give Praise Students and 2) describing the forms of coherence contained in the news Watching Sakinah Film, Students of UIN Yogyakarta Give Praise. The subjects used in this study were news of watching Sakinah film, UIN Yogyakarta students giving praise, and the objects used were sentences containing grammatical cohesion, a form of lexical cohesion. The approach used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach. The data in this study are sentences in the news of Watching Sakinah Movies, This student is a method of literature study. While the method of data analysis in this study is descriptive method analysis method, the method used to analyze and describe cohesion markers and analyze markers of coherence. Test The results of the study show that in the news of watching Sakinah films, UIN Yogyakarta Beri Pujian students have varied markers of cohesion and coherence in the Tebuireng Online news discourse. Cohesion markers were found to reference (3), substitution (1), ellipsis (2), conjunction (3), collocation (1), and markers of coherence found cause-effect relationships (2), relationship coherence suggestions — goals (1), coherence temporal relations (1), and coherence of causal relationships (1).

This study aims at describing how the teachers teach reading comprehension of narrative text to the tenth grade students in Sibolangit and revealing the underlying reasons of why do they do that way. This study was conducted by using qualitative research design. The subject of this study were two english teachers who taught at tenth grade students of two SMA in Sibolangit they are : SMA Negeri  1 Sibolangit  and SMA RK Deli Murni Bandar Baru in academic year 2016/ 2017. The data were analyzed by using Miles and Huberman data analysis technique. The  technique of collecting the data was recorded from the classroom process in teaching reading comprehension of narrative text. The findings of the study show that most of teachers’ ways are not yet focusing on teaching reading comprehension but rather focusing teaching the knowledge of genre. The underlying reason of the teachers’ ways in teaching reading comprehension did not facilitate reading comprehension. It was due to the misperception of the concept of teaching reading comprehension.  Keywords : Teaching,Reading Comprehension,Narrative Text.

This study is concerned with the improving student’s vocabulary achievement in writing descriptive text through Make a Match Method. The objective of this study was to discover whether the use of Make a Match Method could significantly improve students’ vocabulary achievement in writing descriptive text. This study was conducted by applying Classroom Action Research which was carried out in two cycles in six meetings. The subject of this study was students of SMA Negeri 1 Pollung which consisted of 34 students. The instruments for collecting data were descriptive writing test, observation sheet, questionnaire sheet, and diary notes. The techniques for data analysis were quantitative and qualitative. It was found that teaching-learning process ran well. Students were active, enthusiastic and interested on writing descriptive text. The result of this study showed that the use of Make a Match Method significantly improved student’s vocabulary achievement in writing descriptive text.
