This action research primarily aims to remediate the low level of basic writing skills (writing in cursive, capitalization, punctuation, spelling, and paragraphing) of Grade 7 learners in Filipino class/subject in a government high school.  The researcher conducted (1) assessment of learners’ writing competency through pre- and post-tests; (2) preparation/development of writing exercises; (3) activities emphasizing the conduct of writing activities in and out of the classroom; and (4) home visitations to reinforce the teacher’s and parents’ monitoring on the progress of their children. A five-point rating scale was utilized in assessing learners’ outputs. An increase of 1.56 was recorded in the general rating of pre- to post-test, which shows that 80% improvement is manifested among the learners’ basic writing competencies, proving that the intervention used is effective in achieving the target of the study.  The study reveals the significant role of teachers in arousing learners’ interest in writing and making them realize its importance. The study holds true the importance of having learning activities and worksheets appropriate to the level of learners’ needs to improve/enhance the unique skills in writing of each learner.  Just like other researchers, this study encourages the promptly remediate the classroom- and/or school-based problems through the conduct of research for a rational and systematic way of addressing it.  With the aid of well a documented study in all research endeavors, this will guide other teachers and school heads to experience the same plight of addressing the gaps in schools effectively.

Writing is a form of an art and integral part of language learning. The present study concerns with development of writing skills through peer and teacher correction technique. As an action research in nature, the research aimed to test the progress of the students while writing an essay. After the analysis of data collected through test items, it was seen improvement in students writing in post test than in pre-test. The students (Ss1-Ss10) were found using the words in an increased order and grammatically correct sentences in their writing in each test made and committed less grammatical errors in post test than in pre and progress test. Regarding mechanics of writing, their writing was found systematic in case of punctuation, proper use of paragraphs, in coherence and cohesion in writing. The peer correction and teacher correction technique was found productive in teaching writing through action research as a whole. This article describes the results and the implementation of the paircheck method with a work sheet of participants which is the result of community service with the title “Training of Scientific Writing for Teachers of SD Tawar Timur Kota Padang West Sumatra.” In the process, teachers are guided in writing classroom action research through a participant’s worksheet that contains a summary of materials and direct exercise columns with a paired check table. Participants in this training are 26 teachers from 3 public elementary schools in East Tawar area, Padang City. The method used is qualitative-descriptive that explains the final outcome and the implementation of the training. After three days of training, the participants' writing skills increased, which was proved by pre-test and post-test.

As an action research in nature, the research aimed to test the progress of the students’ ESP writing skills when guided writing technique is implemented in writing class and to know the ESP students’ attitude towards guided writing technique. This action research is conducted in two cycles. In collecting the data, the researcher uses qualitative and quantitave technique. The qualitative data are obtained from observation, interview, and test analysis. The qualitative data are supported by quantitative data that are the mean score of students’ pre-test and post-test on ESP writing. The procedure of guided writing which is implemented in ESP writing class are model paragraph, comprehension questions, language based exercises, oral composition, and written composition. After the analysis of data collected through test items, it was seen improvement in students’ ESP writing skills in post-test than in pre-test. The students have shown their improvement such as they are able to construct sentences correctly. They could use appropriate language use when created the pattern of tenses, article, preposition, pronoun, conjunction, and part of speech and also they used better mechanical aspects in writing like capitalization, punctuation, and spelling in post-test than in pretest. Moreover, they can use correct ESP diction on their writing after implemented this technique. The ESP students’ attitudes also were enthusiastic and more active involved in ESP writing class.

<p class="TableParagraph"><em><span lang="EN-US">The purpose of this study was to improve vocabulary writing skills in grade II SDN Wukirsari students through the application of the Picture and Picture model assisted by google meet. The research conducted was a Classroom Action Research (PTK) with three cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. The stages of each cycle are planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. Each meeting is carried out a pre test and post test to determine the progress of students. In the first cycle students who completed after carrying out the post test were 50%. In cycle II students who completed after carrying out the post test were 80%. These results indicate that the Picture and Picture learning model can improve student learning outcomes, especially Indonesian language muples at SD Negeri Wukirsari.</span></em></p>

Researchers made observations during the writing class. There were several writing problems faced by students, including: spelling errors in writing a few words, difficulty in compiling ideas, grammatical errors, incorrect punctuation, and inaccurate diction used. The researcher then found a solution to that problem by using the track changes feature in the pair correction activity. Track changes was useful for correcting students' writing in the editing phase not only making corrections, students also worked together in groups in pairs to produce better writing. The study used a classroom action research that aimed to describe the implementation of the use of track changes in pair correction activities and to find out whether the strategy could improve students' writing skills. The subjects of this study were students in class XI IPA 1 with a total of 32 students. The procedures in this study included planning, action, observation, and reflection. Researchers collected data through pre-test, post-test, questionnaire, and interview. The researcher used two cycles in this research. The results of the pre-test action showed that the average grade of the class was 67, after implementing the strategy, the average class in the first post test was 79 and in the second post-test it was 81. Based on these results, the use of track changes in writing correction in pairs could improve students' writing skills. The data were also supported by the results of questionnaires and interviews obtained that track changes helped students in learning to write.

The purpose of this research is to find out the improvement of students writing short story about their most memorable experiences using Twitter as their writing media. Samples was students of class IX SMP N 3 Tangerang with a total of 30 students. According to Hadi, M, S. (2019), to solve problems and improve the quality of learning, researchers use Classroom Action Research to reduce misconceptions. Researchers conducted 1 Pre-Test session and 2 Post-Test sessions. And researchers collected data in this study by using Qualitative data from the description of students writing story using Twitter. From the results of the study showed that by using social media Twitter as written media students can improve students’ ability to write English and increase students' experience in conveying their expressions with written stories. From the results of the Pre-Test session, there were only 2 students who scored between 60 to 64. And 28 students get grades below 60. While during the Post-test 1 session, there was an increase in students with a total of 2 students getting grades above 70. Then during the Post-Test 2 session, the increase in students improved with the achievement of student grades the highest is 80 and the lowest is 65.

<p><em>The aim of this research is to determine the improvement of students ‘learning outcomes in writing skill of indonesian by using flash cards media. The research conducted was a Classroom Action Research (PTK) with three cycles consisting of two meetings. Each meeting is carried out a pre test and post test. The subjects of this study were grade I SD Negeri Banjaranyar 01 which consisted of 24 students. KKM standard 65 out of 24 students only 11 students or 45.8% who reached a value of 65 and above while 13 students or 54.2% got a score below KKM. The results showed that the improvement of students”learning outcomes in writing skills of  Indonesian. In the pre-cycle obtained an average score of the 45.8%. Then increased in first cycle with a score of 58.3%, increased back in the second cycle 87.5%. These results indicated that using flash cards can improved the sudents”learning outcomes in writing skills of Indonesian especially grade I at SD Negeri Banjaranyar 01 Brebes.</em></p>

The current study was intended to use Card Lottery Games Media to improve writing ability. The design of the study is action research. The sample of the study was IX grade students in one selected school. It was found that after implementing Card Lottery Game Media in two cycles, it could be concluded that Card Lottery Games Media was effective to improve the students’ competency in writing report text There were five aspects that should be full field by the students in writing report text, there are; developing ideas (content), organizing ideas, vocabulary, grammar, and mechanics. The students’ improvement could be seen from the mean score of the pre-test (56,25), post-test 1 (74) and post-test 2 (84,25). During the implementation of Card Lottery Games Media, the students were looked serious, enthusiastic, motivated and interested.

The aims of this research are to find out the class situation and to know the advancement of students’ ability in the application of teaching writing narrative text by means of picture series. In the classroom, students frequently gripe and say if the teacher grants them the task to write in English, they could not do it even when there have not begun yet. They do not have self-confident, feeling afraid of doing wrong, do not know what to scribe and way to get started. For those reasons the teacher conducted Classroom Action Research through picture series, such as Cinderella and The Three Little Pigs as a medium of teaching Narrative Text. In collecting data, researchers used interview and test. The test is done before the action (pre-test) or cycle I and after the action (post-test) or cycle II. The outcome of the study show that which exists positive improvement in students' writing skills and classroom situation during teaching and studying process. Test results increased, from the initial test (done before the action) to posttests (done after the action). That the average value of the test outcome is 74. The highest value acquisition of disciples in the early condition is 80, and the lowest worth is 70. While in cycle II (final condition) the average value of students increases to 90, after the teacher uses media images, the highest score of disciples in the final condition is 94, and the lowest score is 88.

This Collaborative Classroom Action Research aimed at enhancing students’ speaking skill through the application of Circle Game. It was conducted in one cycle consisting of two meetings. The subject was the seventh of C class of SMPN 2 Alas Barat consisting of 22 students. The types of data were qualitative (acquiring observation during the learning process) and quantitative (speaking tests). The results qualitatively showed that the implementation of Circle Game enhanced the students’ speaking skills. Such improvement could be seen from their enthusiasm, their interesting feeling in various materials presented by the teacher, their active involvement. In the quantitative findings, the result also showed a higher value of the mean score of the post-test (77.34) rather than the pre-test (75.75). In conclusion, the use of Circle Game can improve students’ speaking skill.
