Conflicts in family companies cannot be avoided, given that there are stronger emotional factors in employee family ties that are integrated with logic and rational targets in doing business. For this reason, a conflict management strategy is needed that makes conflict a supporter of the strength of the family business. This study aims to: 1) Determine the extent to which conflict affects the activities and business performance of the company, and 2) how the strategy of PT. Book Mart Indonesia in managing conflicts that occur. The approach used in this research is qualitative, while the type of research is descriptive. The determination of the source in this study was carried out by means of purposive sampling. Two types of data used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection procedures used were interviews and documentation. The results showed that the root causes of conflict in PT. Book Mart Indonesia (PTBMI) is a company that is empty of family values, no organizational culture and weak corporate vision and mission. Conflicts that occur (media.neliti.com), for example misunderstandings related to information, decisions related to project making and decisions about task shifting / division of labor. This conflict is caused by the absence of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), the absence of clear company rules such as an administrative system (recording), professional financial management to strengthening brands in the market. This conflict has a major impact, with indications of high employee turnover and a decline in company performance. Keywords : Conflict, Family Company, Organizational Culture, Strategy, Management.

Firm performance is an essential element factor in shaping the competitiveness of a company to gain a competitive advantage in its industry. Firm performance is specifically affected those related to the company’s resources. Organizational culture and knowledge management are resources owned by companies to be able to compete in the industry. The study focuses on analyzing the effect of organizational culture and knowledge management on the performance of manufacturing companies in Indonesia. Data in this study is primary data and secondary data. The sample of study is 152 respondents. To test the data, this study used multiple regression analysis. The results show that company performance are influenced simultaneously by organizational culture and knowledge management. Partially, the results of the study indicate the role of knowledge management in company performance. However, organizational culture has no role in the performance of manufacturing companies in Indonesia.

Purpose: This study sought to assess the determinants of sustainability of donor funded community projects in Garissa County. The study specifically focused on community participation, financial administration, training and leadership and management on sustainability of donor funded community projects in Garissa County. The variables were anchored by the freirean theory, results theory, competency theory and the systems theory.Methodology: The study adopted a descriptive research design and the population included donor funded project managers, donor agencies and project beneficiaries. Mugenda and Mugenda’s sample determination formula to acquire a sample size of 246 respondents. Further, the study employed stratified sampling so as to determine the exact number of respondents from the different categories. Primary data was collected through semi structured questionnaire while secondary data was collected through  desk search techniques from the internet from past scholarly articles. Quantitative data was analysed using a multivariate regression model while qualitative data was analysed using content analysis method.Results: Inferential results revealed a positive and significant relationship between community participation and sustainability of donor funded community projects and also positive and significant association between financial management and sustainability of donor funded community projects in Garissa County.Contribution: The study concluded that an improvement in various indicators of community participation such as donor funded community projects leaders’ vision, community empowerment and community decision-making, programme planning, monitoring and evaluation, leadership and management skills, establishment of linkages between project components, supervision and mobilization of local resources will result to positive and significant effect on sustainability of donor funded community projects in Garissa County. The study also concluded that improvement in some of the indicators that define financial management results to positive and significant effect on sustainability of donor funded community projects in Garissa County.

The purpose of this research is to provide conceptual and infrastructure tools for Dinas Pariwisata DKI Jakarta to improve their capabilities for evaluating business performance based on market responsiveness. Capturing market responsiveness is the initial research to make industry mapping. Research steps started with secondary research to build data classification system. The second is primary research by collecting the data from market research. Data sources for secondary data were collected from Dinas Pariwisata DKI, while the primary data were collected from survey method using quetionaires addressed to the whole market. Then, analyze the data colleted with multivariate analysis of variance to develop the mapping. The result of cluster analysis distinguishes the potential market based on their responses to the industry classification, make the classification system, find the gaps and how important are they, and the another issue related to the role of the mapping system. So, this mapping system will help Dinas Pariwisata DKI to improve capabilities and the business performance based on the market responsiveness and, which is the potential market for each specific classification, know what their needs, wants and demand from that classification. This research contribution can be used to give the recommendation to Dinas Pariwisata DKI to deliver what market needs and wants to all the tourism place based on this classification resulting, to develop the market growth estimation; and for the long term is to improve the economic and market growth.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of human capital and organizational learning on company performance which is mediated by organizational competence. This research uses quantitative research with descriptive analysis approach. The population in this study were 75 respondents, each of whom worked for 3 MSMEs in the city of Jakarta. The sampling technique used is a saturated sample. The types of data in this study are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, in-depth interviews and questionnaires. The analysis technique is carried out with two main parts, namely the measurement model and the structural model. Based on the results of research data analysis, it can be concluded that: 1) Human Capital has a positive and significant effect on organizational competency with a t-statistic value of 5.176; 2) Organizational Learning has a positive and significant effect on organizational competency with a t-statistic value of 4.786; 3) Human Capital has a positive and significant effect on Company Performance mediated by organizational competence with a t-statistic value of 5.387; 4) Organizational Learning has a positive and significant effect on Company Performance mediated by organizational competence with a t-statistic value of 3.175; and 5) Organizational Competency does not directly affect the Company's Performance with a t-statistic value of 1.571.

The purpose of this study is to analyze organizational culture and leadership of the sport branch Board and Athlete Performances and impact against KONI (Indonesian National Sport Committee) of Riau Province. The object of research is the Sport Branch Board members of KONI (Indonesian National Sport Committee) of Riau Province. Population in this study is the Sport Branch Board members of KONI of Riau province as many as 165, with a sample of 117 people, by using a formula Solvin. The type of data required in this research is primary data and secondary data. Primary data sources were obtained from the results of empirical research through deployment questionnaire to the Branch Board Sports, while the secondary data source authors were obtained in the form of ready-made include about organisational profile of KONI of Riau Province.  Data collection methods used were interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis tools used in the study was a multiple linear regression analysis.  Results from this study showed that: (1) There is a positive effect of the Cultural Organization (X1) on the performance variable (Y1) the coofficient 0,386 with sig = 0.002 ≤ 0,05; (2) there is a positive influence Leadership variable (X2) of the variable Cultural Organization (Y1) the coofficient 0,182 with sig = 0,038 ≤ 0,05; (3) there is a positive influence organizational culture variable (X1) to achievement athlete (Y2) the coefficient 0,252 with sig 0,002, 4). there is positive leadership variables (X2) on achievment athlete (Y2) the coefficient 0,287 with a value coofficient sig = 0,000 ≤ 0,05. there is a positive influence organizational culture variables (X1) to the achievement athlete (Y2) with sig = 0,000 ≤ 0,05. Cultural organizations are independent variables that influence is greater than the other independent variables. Coofficient determination or R-square is 79.04%, while 20.96% is influenced by other variables outside the research. Suggestions for further research are to find out other variables that have a greater influence on the performance of government policy, and the development of school sports.

<p>Financing a good management is one key to the success of an educational institution to promote or increase quality. In this study, the focus of the problem is how the management of financing available to the private universities in Surabaya medium in order to improve its quality. The method used is qualitative descriptive with the presence of the researcher as an instrument of research conducted interviews to informants as a source of primary data and documents as well as supporting books as a secondary data source. Management Funding education is one of the factors that determine the quality improvement due to the financial management that is transparent and accountable will give rise to the belief of stakehoulder and it will be the motivation of each academicians Tri Dharma College in Private colleges medium in Surabaya to conduct quality improvement in their respective fields.</p>

Budget and budget absorption are very important in the sustainability of a budgeting system at state universities. Budget absorption is used as an indicator of performance measurement in a university. The opinion of budget managers is an important factor in efforts to optimize the budget. Therefore, research on the perception of budget managers on the determinants of budget acceptance in state university is very important, especially for new state universities (Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Baru/PTNB), including University of Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVYK). The purpose of this study is to analyze the variables that affect budget absorption at UPNVYK. The variables are budgeting plan, budgeting management, human resource, procurement of goods dan services (Pengadaan Barang dan Jasa, PBJ), bureaucratic environment, monitoring and evaluation systems, and organizational commitment. This research is expected to formulate recommendations about budget policymaking and its implementation in UPNVYK management in particular and new state universities in general. It is hoped the research will become one of the policy making materials for UPNVYK management on budget implementation from the perception aspect and point of view of managers of the procurement of goods/services.The population of this research is financial management employees in all work units at UPNVYK which consists of 15 work units. The sample of the population is people who have certain positions related to the budget and management of the procurement of goods/services. The method in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. This research data is primary data and secondary data. Secondary data comes from work units and rector regulations at UPNVYK. Primary data using a closed or open questionnaire on the perception of financial management employees at UPNVYK. The result of this research is that the most important issue of budget absorption at UPNVYK is the existence of organizational commitment and commitment from all employees in each unit on various issues related to budget absorption at University of Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the implications of foreign bribery and perceptions that bribery is just a cost of doing business in Africa in light of recent reports and developments in the global attempt to curb bribery and corruption. Design/methodology/approach The research relied on primary data from anti-corruption legislation, surveys and monitoring reports and secondary data from publicly available information, journal articles and media reports to analyse recent developments in the fight against corruption with a special focus on Africa. Findings The research findings and analysis suggest that foreign bribery, which is illegal but largely carried out with impunity and perceived as a just a cost of doing business in Africa, has heavy costs on developing nations and on corporations and individuals that are prosecuted. Although much has been done to curb corruption, it seems active enforcement takes place in only a limited number of countries. There is still the need for enhanced enforcement by nations, increased societal awareness of effective measures against corruption and improved corporate compliance and responsibility. Originality/value The paper contributes practical insights into improvements and lapses in the fight against foreign bribery and corruption. Using recent and relevant analysis, the paper revisits the resilience of bribery and corruption in spite of increased anti-corruption actions and the need for multiple and varied measures. The information provided will be useful for governments, corporations and civil society in the fight against corruption, which requires constant multilateral action and examination.

Purpose This study aims to examine comprehensively the factors determining the performance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) producing Indonesian special food in East Java. Design/methodology/approach This study is quantitative and qualitative. Primary data was collected from entrepreneurs in East Java, those producing Indonesian special food. Secondary data was obtained from the literature, literature study, journals, Central Bureau of Statistics and the office of industry, trade, cooperatives and SMEs in East Java. Areas selected for this study were Surabaya, Madiun, Malang, Pasuruan, Lamongan and Banyuwangi. The population was small and medium entrepreneurs producing Indonesian special food in the selected cities. Based on the PLS sampling rule, the number of samples in each research area was 50, with total of 300 respondents (50 × 6). The methods of collecting primary data were interviews and questionnaire. Data analysis was done using GSCA. Findings The study firstly found the significant influence of entrepreneurial orientation on business strategies of SMEs producing Indonesian special food in East Java. SME managers have a high entrepreneurial orientation. Secondly, it found a significant influence of entrepreneurial orientation on business performance of SMEs producing Indonesian special food in East Java. Thirdly, the study found that government policy is not a moderating variable. Additionally, business strategies have a significant influence on the performance of SMEs producing Indonesian special food in East Java. Finally, dynamics of the environment and business strategy have a significant influence on the performance of manufacturing industry in South Sulawesi. Originality/value To know the effect of entrepreneurial orientation, environmental dynamism, consisting of uncertainty of environment and intensity of competition, and business strategies toward business performance. Considering the findings of the previous studies, the authors would like to re-examine the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on business performance, which also compares the findings of previous studies, especially, the one by Lee and Tsang (2003) on SMEs in Singapore.

This study aims to explain the financial management planning of Tembokrejo Village, as well as analyze its suitability then provide an overview of the flowchart of village financial management planning according to Permendagri Number 20 of 2018. This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach using primary data and data. secondary data collection procedures, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. And the data analysis technique is a comparative analysis which tests the validity of the data using the triangulation technique. Then the activities in data analysis are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The results of this study indicate that the financial management plan of Tembokrejo Village is in accordance with the village financial management plan according to Permendagri Number 20 of 2018, due to the presence of village assistants who help in the process of preparing village financial management planning. Therefore, a flowchart was designed, which could be used as a guide to assist village officials in the process of preparing village financial management plans independently.
