This document presents the results obtained from the study conducted in order to know which were the most frequently applied strategies in the companies of Poza Rica, Veracruz, Mexico, to which a strategic plan was developed as part of academic projects carried out by students of the Business Management Engineering career, considering as axis the subject of Strategic Management of the academic program of the National Technology of Mexico with key AED-1035, during the years 2018, 2019 and 2020. The objective of the study is to identify the strategies that are most frequently presented, and in this way, help entrepreneurs to have a reference of the areas that are more susceptible to analyze in their companies. The study consisted of classifying the strategies by areas, based on the existing theoretical framework in this regard, resulting in that the strategies that appear most frequently are financial, marketing, processes and human resources, and some less frequent ones called others.

Collectively, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) form an important part of most economies.However, in Malaysia, despite their significant role in the development process of the national economy, studies involving SMEs appear to be limited as well as neglected.The 13 articles represented in this book were previously published in journals and presented at various conferences.These articles address various important issues concerning SMEs such as their definitions, development, role, strategic factors, weaknesses, skills and knowledge requirements, assistance programmes, firm characteristics, business strategies, export activities and distinctive capabilities. It is believed that this book is useful both as the basic introduction to the subject for those studying small business management and entrepreneurship, and as a reference work for owners and managers of SMEs.

Case overview Dandiraz an electric appliance manufacturing company in Zimbabwe has an aggressive marketing director who had increased exports from 15 percent of the company's production to 40 percent and the company had won the National Exporter of the Year Award twice as a result of his efforts. The chairperson was uncomfortable with the outbursts of the marketing director when he talked to him about the production department. There was a disagreement between the marketing director and production director in the way certain issues were to be implemented. The chairperson was undecided on whose suggestions to follow since both directors were giving valid contributions but opposing each other. Expected learning outcomes Students can focus on the importance of how departmental conflicts can harm an organisation if not managed properly. Students will also appreciate the importance of making quality decisions by top management as an important ingredient for the success of an organisation. Subject. The article focuses on the advanced time-driven tools for allocating overhead expenses, which are based on process-based budgeting. Objectives. We articulate a technique for cost allocation so as to assess the cost of each process with reference to the common time driver. Methods. The study relies upon methods of systematization, classification, analogy and comparison, and summarizes the scientific literature on the subject. Results. The article presents our own suggestions on implementing TD-ABC and TD-ABB into the strategic management accounting process of developer companies. The principles were proved to help more effectively allocate overhead expenses and assess the capacity load of each process performed by functions, departments and employees. Carrying out a comparative analysis, we found certain reserves for utilizing resources more effectively. Conclusions and Relevance. The findings are of scientific and practical significance and can be used by developer and construction businesses. The conclusions can prove helpful for scientific papers, student books, and further research.

RESUMENEsta investigación examina la espiritualidad y su consideración en el ambiente laboral, específicamente en los trabajadores de la Dirección de Educación Estadal del Municipio Palavecino, Estado Lara, Venezuela. El estudio de tipo descriptivo y cualitativo permitió analizar materiales teóricos relacionados con la espiritualidad en el trabajo, tomando el concepto de espiritualidad de Mitroff y Denton (1999) como marco teórico para esta investigación, además de los aportes de Pérez (2007) y Robles (2011) que exploran el tema y permitieron la elaboración de un constructo teórico para esta investigación. Los resultados evidencian que existe un alto interés por el tema de la espiritualidad tanto en la vida personal como en el trabajo y puede tratarse abiertamente en el ámbito laboral, a pesar de las limitaciones sobre el tema, su principal beneficio es que favorece el equilibrio en todos los aspectos de la vida.Palabras clave: espiritualidad, ambiente laboral, creencias y valores espirituales.An study of case on the analysis of spirituality at the workABSTRACT This research examines spirituality and its consideration in the workplace, specifically on workers of the Directorate of Education of the Municipality Palavecino State Authority, State Lara, Venezuela. ABSTRACT The majority of the residents of Cinyurup village are beneng taro farmers and entrepreneurs of beneng taro chips, but the management is still simple and is not managed systematically and well-planned, so that it cannot provide maximum results. The aim of this training is to increase competitiveness for the small and medium entrepreneurs of taro chips into independent small industries. The method of implementation is through : seminars of material delivery, discussion, practice, mentoring, monitoring and evaluation. The results of this training show that not all small and medium industrial entrepreneurs are taro beneng chips those in Cinyurup village who have not implemented business management, have not processed distribution permits, halal certificates, produced product innovations and online marketing, due to limited funds and human resources. Key words: training, business management, competitiveness, UIKM   ABSTRAK Mayoritas penduduk warga kampung Cinyurup adalah petani talas beneng dan pelaku usaha keripik talas beneng, akan tetapi pengelolaannya masih sederhana dan tidak di kelola dengan sistematis dan terencana dengan baik, sehingga belum bisa memberikan hasil yang maksimal. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini untuk meningkatkan daya saing kepada para pelaku usaha industri kecil dan menengah keripik talas beneng menuju industri kecil yang mandiri. Metode pelaksanaan melalui : seminar penyampaian materi, diskusi, praktek, pendampingan, monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil dari pelatihan ini menunjukan belum semua para pelaku usaha industri kecil dan menengah keripik talas beneng yang ada di kampung Cinyurup yang  belum menerapkan manajemen usaha, belum mengurus surat ijin edar, sertifikat halal, memproduksi inovasi produk dan pemasaran online, karena keterbatasan dana dan sumber daya manusia. The Civil Engineering course teaches different subjects in its academic program, which has in their educational task to offer knowledge to students, their intervention in the environmental space, within the framework of their actions as future civil engineers. The objective of the research is to reflect on the knowledge acquired in the environmental training of students of the civil engineering career. For this purpose, the standardized survey technique was used with structured questions that collected the work of the educational program of the race and was applied to 75 students of the different levels. The result obtained allowed to know to what extent the environmental training of students, has repercussions on the preparation of future civil engineers, in addition to the degree of concern for environmental problems and the predisposition to work in order to reduce the impacts derived from the professional practice of The Civil Engineering, taking into account the implication of the sustainable development in the academic formation. During the investigation it was verified that students are aware of the importance of preservation and respect for nature through the use of clean energies, where they have expressed concern about contamination and depletion of natural resources. The results obtained can have a positive influence on the constructive future of the province, depending on the implementation of an appropriate sustainable development policy.

This book offers a study of the subject matter protected by each of the main intellectual property (IP) regimes. With a focus on European and UK law particularly, it considers the meaning of the terms used to denote the objects to which IP rights attach, such as ‘invention’, ‘authorial work’, ‘trade mark’, and ‘design’, with reference to the practice of legal officials and the nature of those objects specifically. To that end it proceeds in three stages. At the first stage, in Chapter 2, the nature, aims, and values of IP rights and systems are considered. As historically and currently conceived, IP rights are limited (and generally transferable) exclusionary rights that attach to certain intellectual creations, broadly conceived, and that serve a range of instrumentalist and deontological ends. At the second stage, in Chapter 3, a theoretical framework for thinking about IP subject matter is proposed with the assistance of certain devices from philosophy. That framework supports a paradigmatic conception of the objects protected by IP rights as artifact types distinguished by their properties and categorized accordingly. From this framework, four questions are derived concerning: the nature of the (categories of) subject matter denoted by the terms ‘invention’, ‘authorial work’, ‘trade mark’, ‘design’ etc, including their essential properties; the means by which each subject matter is individuated within the relevant IP regime; the relationship between each subject matter and its concrete instances; and the manner in which the existence of a subject matter and its concrete instances is known. That leaves the book’s final stage, in Chapters 3 to 7. Here legal officials’ use of the terms above, and understanding of the objects that they denote, are studied, and the results presented as answers to the four questions identified previously.

This paper summarises the program of work carried out at TRRL up to 1971 on traffic restraint treated as a policy for transport planning. The special techniques required were developed and are described here. The theoretical framework within which local traffic effects can be treated at a strategic level is developed using marginal cost road pricing as an example, and the necessarily stringent pricing establishing the convergence, stability, and repeatability of the results is described for a practical algorithm which can readily be used in other transport planning program systems. The application of these techniques to analyse the comparative effects of different traffic restraint policies, and the variations on the techniques required to handle several groups of travellers who react differently to restraint measures, are the subject of companion papers to appear later in this journal.

Case overview Just Fresh Juice is a small entrepreneurial venture in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), specialising in preparing all-fresh juices, special mixes and fruit salads. The purpose of this paper is to analyse how Just Fresh can maintain its competitive advantage, and how it could sustain its rapid growth in the market and gain more market share in the long run. Just Fresh focuses on satisfying its customers more effectively than its competitors through a competitive strategy of cost leadership (Papulova and Papulova, 2006), direct interaction with the customers through social media (Srinivasan, 2014) and creating a customer experience (Porter, 2008), as delivering a good customer experience is often more effective in building a competitive advantage than optimising internal processes. Expected learning outcomes The purpose of this case is to enable management students to evaluate and analyse a small business established in the United Arab Emirates. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of new business set-up and build proper business strategy. <p class="apa">In general, the objectives of this study were to explain the role played by universities in improving its human resources are office holders, lecturers, and students, explain the program what is being done related to the improvement of human resources, and explains the non-academic program to support the implementation of a program that has been prepared so as to ensure the creation of academic atmosphere and moral. This research is using a qualitative approach. Data collection method is observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. After determining the selected object, it is then determined subjects and informants who serve as a source of information, other than information derived from observation and documents. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative descriptive. From these results it can be concluded that in the current era of globalization sensitize the managers of private universities to constantly make changes both in management of students, lecturers, and academic. Of the top ten universities in East Java, which is the object of research has done on average conditionally adjustment and in accordance with their respective capabilities to actualize development programs as outlined in the master plan and development plan strategy as a guide.</p>
