This study aims to describe how the Mendeley application is used in writing scientific papers by teacher representatives and to see how the effectiveness of using the Mendeley application as a References Manager. The type of research used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out by observation and questionnaires. The instruments used to retrieve data were the observation sheet and questionnaire sheet. Data analysis was carried out by reducing the data from observations and questionnaires, then the data from the reduction results were then presented in the form of tables and descriptions, which were then concluded with the results. The results showed that the Mendeley application could be used easily by teachers in compiling articles and the effectiveness of the response to using the Mendeley application as a Reference Manager also received a high percentage of 83%. And the teacher's interest in using the Mendeley application is also high, namely 81%. This is because the teacher said that Mendeley was very easy to use and up to date.

The aim of this study is to identify high school teachers’ commitment to school development, colleagues, the teaching profession and sense of duty. The population of this descriptive survey comprised 2,805 teachers working at 47 high schools in Elazığ during the 2016-2017 school year. The study sample was selected through stratified sampling, which aims to identify subgroups in a population and ensure that their size in the sample represents their proportion in the population. The data collection tool was then distributed to 461 teachers working in 12 schools selected randomly from these strata. The data collection tool had two sections. The first had conceptual questions and the second had questions about organizational commitment behaviors. The results showed that high school teachers felt full commitment only to the teaching profession, while they “often” felt committed in other subdimensions and the entire scale. More precisely, the commitment level of science teachers to school development was higher than that of social sciences teachers. Teachers working in the city center had higher commitment to colleagues and school development than those in small towns. Teacher candidates had higher commitment to sense of duty than teachers and specialist teachers. Teachers working at vocational and technical high schools had lower commitment to school development than teachers working at Anatolian high schools, social sciences and science high schools. There was a moderate, negative and meaningful relationship between teachers’ age, professional seniority, professional title and marital status. There was a high, positive and meaningful relationship between the subdimensions and the entire scale. Among the subdimensions, too, there was a moderate, positive and meaningful relationship.

The purpose of this study was to describe how to implement the REACT strategy to develop students’ mathematical representation, reasoning, and disposition ability. This research was a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The subject of this study was grade 8 junior high school student in Bandung. Data collection techniques in this study with observations, interviews, and documentation. Based on data analysis results, it could be concluded that REACT strategies can be applied to develop a mathematical representation, reasoning, and disposition ability that engages students actively. Implementation of the REACT strategy runs smoothly and gets enthusiastic responses from students. The application of REACT strategies should be undertaken sustainably so that the learning objectives can be achieved by integrating various mathematical skills that were capable.

The aim of the present study wasto propose a model to evaluate the effective factors on cooperation of the learning groups in smart schools. The study is correlational descriptive. The population of the study includes the total number of smart high school teachers of Tehran in the academic year 2011-2012. Sampling has been multistage clustering. A number of 360 of the teachers were selected randomly for conducting the research. Three researcher-designed questionnaires were used as data collection instruments: 1) The questionnaire of the effective factors on cooperation of the learning groups (α =0.93); 2) The questionnaire of learning motivation (α = 0.87); and 3) The questionnaire of collaboration factors in the learning groups (α = 0.83). The overall results of the study indicated that among the four studied factors, the direct effect coefficient of the preparing ground factor (0.692) had the greatest effect on collaboration of the learning groups in smart schools. The indirect effect of the mentioned factor also was the greatest based on the indices of the importance of group learning (0.415) and guidelines and strategies (0.300). According to the findings of the research, GFI index has been 0.95 and AGFI index 0.91 suggesting that the model has a rather desirable fitness.

This study examines the influence of leadership and integrated management information system on the performance of Klaten State Senior High Schoolteachers. To create a good teacher performance is done with the utilization of information technology through integrated management information system as a means to provide services and improve teacher performance. The purpose of this research are: (1) to know the significance of leadership influence on teacher performance in Klaten State Senior High School , (2) to see the impact of the use of integrated management information system on the performance of Klaten State Senior High School teacher, (3) to know the effects of leadership and system combined management information on the performance of Klaten State Senior High School teachers. The number of samples is 95 people with data collection methods through distributing questionnaires, digging from documents and interviews. Data analysis technique in a prerequisite test of data analysis using Parson Product Moment correlation (r). Testing data normality using Chi-Square analysis with 5% significance level, and multiple regression. The results showed that leadership has a positive and significant impact on teacher performance, integrated management information system has a positive and significant effect on the performance of Klaten State Senior High School teachers, leadership and integrated management information system together also have a positive and significant impact on the performance of Klaten State Senior High School. Implications of command and integrated management information systems are vital factors that can affect the performance of Klaten State Senior High School teachers.

This study aims to analyze the students’ feedback to the teachers’ performance in teaching recount text. This study was conducted by descriptive qualitative method through phases; gathering information and data and analyzing data. The subject of this research was at eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 35 Medan. The instruments for collecting data were students’ written feedback and questionnaire. The data then was analyzed by using checklist.. The results of the data analysis showed that there were 62,97% of students’ used the negative feedback in giving their opinions. There were only four of twenty seven students that could enclose at least five indicators of a good feedback.

The article deals with the strategies implemented by teachers in facilitating the students to comply with the rules. The study aims at identifying the discipline problems faced by teachers and describing the strategies they employ to cope with the discipline problems. The study employed qualitative approach in which the researchers used questionnaire and interview to collect the data. The participants were high school teachers and students of 10 schools in Central Java, Indonesia from various backgrounds: public, private, Islam-based public, Islam-affiliated private, Islam-based dormitory. The interview script became the primary source for interpreting and analyzing data. The findings revealed that the most common discipline problems faced by the teachers were noisy classroom, wrong/incomplete attributes and unpunctuality. The strategies applied by the teachers to cope with the students were corrective, assertive, and preventive disciplines. The teachers should improve the quality in maintaining the classroom discipline by creating a conducive classroom and involving the students in setting the classroom rules, such as attendance, learning participation, students and teacher actions, and assessment.

Abstract:The aim of this study are analyzing (1) the influence of discipline to the satisfaction of teachers’ performance, (2) the influence of motivation to teacher’s performance satisfaction, (3) the significant influence of profession allowance to teachers’ satisfaction performance, (4) the influence of discipline to the teachers’ performance, (5) the influence of motivation to teachers’ performance, (6) the influence of profession allowance to teachers’ performance, and (7) the influence of work’s satisfaction to the junior high school teachers’ performance in Tapin regency. The population was all of the state junior high school teachers in Tapin regency which consisted of 275 teachers and the sample used was 163 teachers were taken by using slovin formula. The data analyzed using the software of SPSS 22. The activities of data analysis were using path analysis. The results of the study show that: (1) discipline has direct influence to the work’s satisfaction teachers’ performance (2) motivation has direct influence to the work’s satisfaction teachers (3) profession allowance has direct influence to the work’s satisfaction teachers in Tapin regency (4) discipline has direct influence to teachers’ performance (5) motivation has direct influence to teachers’ performance (6) profession allowance has direct influence to teachers’ performance in Tapin regency, and (7) work’s satisfaction has direct influence to the state junior high school teachers’ performance in Tapin regency.   Keywords: Discipline, motivation, profession allowance, satisfaction and teachers’ performance   Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis(1) pengaruh disiplin terhadap kepuasan kerja guru, (2) pengaruh motivasi terhadap kepuasan kerja guru, (3) pengaruh sertifikasi terhadap kepuasan kerja guru, (4) pengaruh disiplin terhadap kinerja guru, (5) pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja guru ,(6) pengaruh sertifikasi terhadap kinerja guru SMP di Kabupaten Tapin, dan (7) pengaruh kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja guru. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua guru SMP Negeri yang ada di Kabupaten Tapin yang berjumlah 275 orang. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 163 orang diambil dengan menggunakan rumus slovin. Analisis data menggunakan software SPSS 22. Government had implemented the 2013 Curriculum for 5 years now, however, in practice, there are still a lot of teachers who haven’t fully comprehended this curriculum. Thus, it is intriguing to study “Junior High School Teacher’s Comprehension on Assessment System in 2013 Curriculum”. This study aims to find out the level of comprehension junior high school teachers have regarding the assessment technique in 2013 Curriculum. Furthermore, this study also tried to discern issues faced by teachers in implementing the assessment system in 2013 Curriculum. This study uses qualitative approach, and data were collected using questionnaires and focus group discussion (FGD). 5 sample locations were selected using purposive technique. The informants in FGD were 25 teachers and respondents filling the questionnaire were 4337 teachers. The result concludes that junior high school teachers’ comprehension on the assessment systemof 2013 Curriculum is still low and not optimal. There are also several issues in the implementation. Recommendation proposed are for a strategic and detailed dissemination and training, and also a simplification of the assessment system in 2013 Curriculum, especially in assessment for attitude aspect and descriptive assessment.

Scientific publication is one of teacher�s duty to increase their rank, form III/b to III/c. Base on interview with Senior High School teachers at Pesisir Selatan regency, we know that difficult for them to produce scientific publication caused by their ability on choosing data analysis technique which relevant to their case, teachers cannot use the statistical software because its not familiar for them, and they have low quality in interpreting data analysis result. To solve the problems, we offer a workshop of data analysis on scientific writing using statistical software. The target audiences of this workshop is a Group of Teachers on Mathematics Major (MGMP) in Pesisir Selatan. In this workshop, participants are given the basic concept and how to write a scientific writing, basic concept of statistics, and introduction to statistical software i.e. Minitab and SPSS. Beside that, with practical work, the participants learn how to use statistical software and interpretate the data analysis result. Result of the workshops are (1) increasing the ability of participants skills on analysis the data using statistical software and interpretate it.

The low students’ final exam grades, low attendance of the teachers, and unsatisfactory results of teachers’ performance assessment are some indicators of teachers’ low performance. On the bases of these phenomena, this article discusses results of explanatory survey research investigating the effects of job satisfaction on the performance of 25 certified state vocational high school teachers. Using sets of questionnaire as the instruments of data collection and simple regression in data analysis, the research has found that job satisfaction has positively and significantly affected the performance of certified teachers. The study indicates the needs for the principals to elevate quality performance of the teachers by improving the regulations concerning the teachers’ discipline and designing activities which intend to increase the teachers’ social competences.ABSTRAKRendahnya nilai ujian akhir sekolah siswa, tingkat kehadiran guru dan hasil penilaian kinerja guru adalah beberapa indikator yang menunjukkan rendahnya kinerja guru. Dengan dilatarbelakangi fenomena tersebut artikel ini membahas hasil penelitian eksplanatory survey yang ditujukkan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja 52 orang guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri yang telah tersertifikasi. Dengan menggunakan quesioner sebagai instrument pengumpulan data, yang dianalisa dengan teknik analisis regresi sederhana, analisa data menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru yang telah tersertifikasi. Untuk mengoptimalkan kinerja guru, pimpinan sekolah harus memperbaiki aturan sekaitan dengan kedisiplinan guru dan merancang kegiatan yang ditujukkan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi sosial para guru.
