The purpose of the research work is to stimulate the productivity of Ross-308 cross broiler chickens with organic acids without reducing the nutritional value of the poultry diet. Scientific and production trial was carried out in the conditions of OAO Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm in the Vitebsk Region. Broiler chickens of the Ross-308 cross were introduced into the drinking system through a veterinary drug dispenser, with water a liquid feed additive based on fulvic acid (concentration – 1 g/l AD). Researches have shown that the use of organic acids in the growing of young poultry contributed to the activation of non-specific immunity, an increase in the safety of the livestock and an increase in the meat qualities of Ross-308 cross broiler chickens. Thus, there was an increase in the average live weight gain of poultry by slaughter age in the experimental group compared with the control by 0.8%. From the experimental group of poultry 0.6% (+416 pcs.) more marketable birds were received than from poultry grown in the control poultry house. In the experimental poultry house, birds of 1st class were obtained 0.7 percentage points more than in the control poultry house. Accordingly, birds of 2ndclass were obtained in the experimental poultry house less than in the control. The receiving of grade-out birds was not noted, since according to the technological rules of the enterprise, an off-grade poultry is rejected weekly. For a total all the results achieved made it possible to get a significant increase in the gross production of poultry meat and additional profit for the enterprise.

In order to increase the meat productivity of poultry scientists around the all world are working to improve the breeding traits and technologies of housing and feeding. However, the efficiency of poultry meat production on an industrial basis depends not only on the strengthening and inheritance of breed qualities, but also on a complete and balanced feeding, including the use of new feed additives. All this generally affects the duration of rearing, the average daily and absolute live weight gains, the biological value and nutritional value of poultry meat produced in industrial conditions. The purpose of the work was to study the effect of the amino acid complex and silicon dioxide on the productivity and quality of broiler chicken meat. The paper scientifi cally substantiates and experimentally proves the effectiveness of using a rational dose of ultrafine silicon dioxide (300 mg/kg of feed) and the complex of amino acids (arginine – 7 g/kg, lysine – 6 g/kg, methionine – 2 g/kg) in the rearing of broiler chickens. Data on the positive influence of the studied factor on the consumption, digestibility and use of feed nutrients, as well as meat productivity and quality of broiler chicken meat have been obtained. The dependence of meat productivity and quality of chicken meat on physiological and biochemical parameters has been proved. Analysis of the results of the production experiment has been shown that the livability of poultry in the experimental group was higher than the control group by 1,4 %. This made it possible to reduce feed consumption to 100 g/head, and feed consumption per 1 kg of chicken growth in the experimental group by 9,2 %. Activation of metabolic processes of the body of broiler chickens of the experimental group contributed to the increase in their live weight, which increased the weight of the gutted carcass, the yield of meat by 13,8 %, and meat with off al for sale by 18,0 %. The efficiency of the complex application of amino acids and silicon dioxide in the production of poultry meat is economically justified.

The poultry industry in Russia has significant prospects for the development of domestic production of eggs and poultry meat. Insufficient attention is paid to the practical application of enzyme drugs, although numerous studies have proven the effectiveness of these substances in feeding animals and poultry. The purpose of the research was to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of using the multi-enzyme drug Axtra XAP 101 produced by DuPont as part of compound feed for growing broiler chickens. A scientific and economic experiment has been carried out and various doses of the multi-enzyme drug Axtra XAP 101 have been experimentally studied as part of compound feed and the optimal dose in the amount of 7–9 % of the dry matter of the compound feed has been identified. Multi-enzyme drug Axtra XAP 101 influences on indices of meat productivity of broiler chickens. It has been found that this drug increases the average daily increase in live weight of broiler chickens, reduces feed conversion and has a positive effect on the livability of livestock. The highest value for livestock livability has been observed in the 3rd experimental group, where it was 97,67 %, which was by 0,32 % higher than in the control group, by 0,5 % higher than in the 1st experimental group and by 0,57 % higher than in the 2nd experimental group. The European productivity index was the highest in the 3rd experimental group and amounted to 412 points. This indicator was higher than in other groups: higher than the control group by 20 points, the 1st experimental group – by 12 points, the 2nd experimental group – by 5 points. Thus, the effect of using enzymes in wheat and barley diets is to increase and equalize the nutritional value of different varieties and batches of grain. Changing the location and mechanism of microbial fermentation as a result of adding an enzyme also has a positive effect on the health of poultry.

A study of the effectiveness of the use of feed additive Liaform in relation to its effect on the growth and development of broiler chickens. For research, 2 groups of broiler chickens of 55 heads (control and experimental) from 8 days of age were formed on the principle of analogues. Feeding of the control group was carried out with standard complete feed. Feeding of the experimental group was carried out with standard complete feed, in which the feed additive Liaform was added at the rate of 2 g / kg. During the experiment, the general condition of the bird, the safety of the bird, zootechnical and hematological parameters were monitored. It is established that the studied feed additive has a positive effect on the productivity of broiler chickens, improves feed absorption. As a result of the use of feed additive Liaform live weight of broiler chickens in the experimental group was 4.3 % higher compared to the control. The average daily gain of chickens in the experimental group exceeded this figure of chickens in the control group by 4,1 %. The use of feed additives helped to increase feed conversion. The use of Liaform feed increased the protein level in poultry meat

The use of nanomaterials in poultry farming has become increasingly popular as feed additives capable of increasing the productivity of the herd. Nanocrystalline cerium dioxide belongs to nanomaterials with a broad spectrum of activity. Owing to their oxygen non-stoichiometry and low toxicity, cerium dioxide nanoparticles are a very promising object for agriculture. The paper presents the results of studying the meat productivity of quails of the Pharaoh breed when drinking nanocrystalline cerium dioxide in the composition of the feed additive “Nanocerium”. The study was carried out on quails during the rearing period from 14 to 49 days. For the experiment, two groups (control and experimental) of 24 heads each were formed from one day old poultry. The quails were kept in a vivarium, in cage batteries, subject to the accepted microclimate conditions. Poultry of both groups received compound feed, developed taking into account age and physiological characteristics. With drinking water, the of the experimental group additionally received nanocrystalline cerium dioxide as part of the feed additive “Nanocerium” at a dose of 8,6 mg per liter of water for 35 days. The quail population was counted and weighed weekly, starting from the day-old age. The following indicators were determined: safety, dynamics of live weight, average daily gain in live weight. According to the results of the control slaughter and anatomical cutting, the weight of the carcass and the weight of the edible part were determined. Slaughter qualities and morphological composition of quail carcasses were determined by anatomical cutting with the measurement of the following parameters: pre-slaughter weight, half-battered carcass weight, carcass patrana, slaughter yield, weight of edible parts. Drinking the feed additive “Nanocerium” by young quails increased their safety by 4.17%, live weight and absolute average daily gain by 20.3 g and 0.48 g (P <0.05), respectively. The addition of NDC quails to drinking water contributed to an increase in their pre-slaughter weight by 19.3 g, half-gutted carcass by 18.0 g, and gutted by 17.5 g in comparison with the control group. The quail carcasses of the experimental group had a higher yield of edible parts in comparison with the poultry that consumed pure water. Key words: quail, nanocrystalline cerium dioxide, safety, body mass, gain, slaughter rates, output of edible part.

In order to increase the meat productivity of broiler chickens, increase production volumes and reduce the prime-cost of poultry products, it is necessary not only to ensure balanced feeding and compliance with production technology but also to include in the poultry diet non-traditional additives, biologically active substances that contribute to the normalization of metabolic processes and improve the digestibility of feed nutrients. One of these dietary additives is Betulin extracted from birch bark, which has antioxidant and immunomodulatory properties. In this regard, the purpose of the research was to study the influence of compound feed with the introduction of 2 % feed additive based on a synthetic microspherical nanoporous carbon carrier containing biologically active Betulin in its composition on the productivity of broilers. The results of studies on broiler chickens using compound feed with 2 % feed additive have been presented in the article. It has been found that the feed consumption per 1 kg of live weight gain in poultry of the experimental group have been lower by 9,5 % due to better absorption of nutrients, the live weight of broiler chickens of the experimental group at the age of 42 days was 2625,6 g and it was higher than the control group by 3,68 %. The digestibility of crude protein and fat reached 92,73 and 88,03 %, which exceeded the control group by 1,03 and 3,03 abs.%, respectively. It has been found that the use of compound feed with 2 % of the feed additive with the biologically active substance is of practical importance in connection with the increase in the productivity of broilers and the level of profitability of meat production by 8,2 abs.%.

Abstract. The purpose of the research was to develop a method for increasing the meat productivity of sheep under various housing systems. Methods. All studies were conducted according to generally accepted methods. The experimental population of rams of the control and experimental groups was kept until the age of 3 months together with ewes on the pasture (suckling period) with further weaning at the age of 3 months. Further, the rams were divided according to the technologies of keeping: the control group – pasture (graziery), and the experimental group – indoor maintenance (fattening) up to 4 months of age, followed by control slaughter. Monthly weighing of the experimental young rams livestock was carried out. Results. The research work showed that the use of this technological method significantly contributed in increasing average gain and live weight, respectively, by 6.6 % (20 g) and 5.7 % (2.3 kg) and as a result, slaughter weight – by 9.2 % (1.6 kg) in young rams from the experimental group in comparison with analogues of the control group. Chemical, amino acid and microstructural analyses of samples of the longissimus of the livestock showed that the specimens of the young rams of the experimental group had the best food and market advantages. The efficiency of using this technological method is also confirmed by the calculated economic indicators – the difference in the level of profitability was 7.9 % in favor of the rams of the experimental group. The scientific novelty of the research work is a detailed study of the indicators of meat productivity under the influence of this technological method with the justification of its application and the introduction of both scientific and practical contributions to the development of sheep farming.

The growth rate and bone metabolism indicators were monitored in broiler chickens receiving the feed supplemented with clinoptilolite. One-day-old broiler chickens ROSS 308 were divided into control (C) and experimental (E) groups with 100 males and 100 females per group. The chickens received the complete feed mixture BR1 from 1 to 10 days of age, followed by the feed mixture BR2 until the age of 30 days, and the feed mixture BR3 until the end of the experiment (40 days). The feed mixtures of the experimental group were supplemented with clinoptilolite (commercial additive ZeoFeed) at a level of 0.5% (BR1), 1.5% (BR2) and 2.5% (BR3), replacing the corresponding portion of wheat. Feed mixtures and drinking water were provided ad libitum. The live weight of broiler chickens in both the control and experimental group increased steadily during the experiment. At the end of the experiment, live weights of experimental females (2,416 g) and males (2,829 g) were higher than those of control females (2,345 g) and males (2,694 g) by 3% and 5%, respectively. Significant differences in the live weight between groups were found from the age of 30 days (P ⪬ 0.05 and P ⪬ 0.01). At the age of 40 days, the chickens were slaughtered and the femur and tibiotarsus of the right leg were analysed for the content of dry matter, ash, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium. The ash content in dry matter ranged from 53.0 to 54.1% in group C and from 51.7 to 53.2% in group E. The Ca and P contents in dry matter in group E were lower than those in group C, except for Ca and P in the male tibiotarsus. In both groups, regardless of sex, the ash content was higher in the tibiotarsus than in the femur. Since fat levels in bones of the experimental group were increased (females by 19.5% in the femur and 21.3% in the tibiotarsus; males by 22.0% in the femur and 26.3% in the tibiotarsus), which could affect the values obtained, ash, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium were determined in the fat-free dry matter. The trends found in the originally determined dry matter were maintained, i.e. lower levels of ash, Ca, and P in the experimental group, except for male Ca in both kinds of bones. The corresponding levels in the fat-free dry matter were relatively higher as compared to the original dry matter. The results of the study showed that up to 2.5% of clinoptilolite in the diet had no adverse effect on performance and bone metabolism indicators of growing broiler chickens. Thus, it can be used as a suitable feed additive to broiler diets due to its positive effect on nutrient utilization, mechanism of digestion and pollutant elimination in connection with food safety issues.

The possibility of including SUB-PRO probiotic instead of Maxus G feed antibiotic in the diet of broiler chickens of Ross 308 cross was studied to obtain products free of drugs for antimicrobial resistance usage. The dynamics of live weight and carcass weight of cockerels at 1-, 21-, 28-, 34-, 38- and 42-days old was determined. The males of the control group (group 1) reached live weight of 2619 ± 44.9, experimental - 2739 ± 46.2 or more by 4.38%, at P≤0.05 by 42 days of age, and those which received feed antibiotic ( group 3) - 2677 ± 45.1 (further, meat productivity of the latter was not studied, since they are not of practical importance). The mass of carcasses of the experimental group was equal to 1704 ± 23.1 g, which is 4.60% more than the control, at P≤0.05; the relative mass of muscle tissue increased with age by 10.78% in the experimental group in comparison with the 1-day -olds, in the control group - by 10.0%, whereas the mass of bones decreased by 16.75 and 16.59%, respectively (by the difference); the diameter of muscle fibers of superficial pectoral muscle of 42-day-old broilers of the experimental group increased with age by 6.94 times and amounted to 57.9 μm; in terms of microbiological parameters, carcass meat meets the requirements of the interstate standard GOST 31468—2012. At the age of 42 days, cockerels of the control group showed dystrophic changes in the superficial pectoral muscle in the form of an expansion of the endomysium diameter, with the accumulation of interfiber fluid (albuminous degeneration), while some cockerels of the experimental group have fibers with vacuoles and infiltration by immunocompetent cells (leukocytes, phagocytes). Adding SUB-PRO probiotic in the broilers’ diet instead of the feed antibiotic does not reduce productivity, but excludes the negative consequences of feed antibiotics.

Under the environments of the Tyumen region a scientific and research work has been carried out, including an assessment of the influence of antimicrobial substances: colloidal silver, antibiotics and organic acids on the body of broiler chickens. The purpose of the work was to evaluate the influence of antimicrobial substances on the productivity of broiler chickens. The research and laboratory experiment has been carried out in the laboratory of the Northern Trans-Ural Scientific and Research Institute of the Tyumen Scientific Center of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences on chickens of the cross ArborAykrs+. Chickens at the daily age have been distributed according to the principle of balanced groups-analogues. The period of chicken rearing was 35 days, during the same period the analysis of the studied antimicrobial substances has been performed. The composition of the test substances was included colloidal silver 10 μg/l, antibiotics (Pulsoceril, Enronite) and the mixture of organic acids (Agrofeed) at the dose of 0,4 ml/l. The results have shown that chickens that have been watered colloidal silver had the gain of live weight for the period of rearing 1850,94 g or lower than chickens in the control group. At the same time, broiler chickens with watering of antibiotics and organic acids exceeded the control group’s analogues. For example chickens of the 1st experimental group where colloidal silver has been watered at the dose of 10 mcg/l every day had the live weight gain during the rearing period lower by 15,56 g and the average daily live weight gain of 0,45 g than chickens of the control group. At the same time broilers of the 2nd experimental group (with antibiotics) and the 3rd experimental group (with organic acids) had the higher gain of live weight during the rearing period by 56,61 and 95,23 g, respectively, compared to the control group. The average daily gain diff erences were 1,62 and 2,72 g. Indicators of morphological and biochemical composition of blood of experimental groups of broiler chickens indicated that they were within the limits of the corresponding physiological norms. At the same time, there were some changes on the part of both red and white blood, which seems to be related not only to the body’s response to feeding, but also to the biochemical processes within the body.
