Abstract The purpose of implementing community service and research (action research) is to accelerate the process of developing an entrepreneurial culture; to increase the knowledge of MSMEs and Cooperatives in the digital world related to ETAP and Android-based accounting literacy through training, mentoring and research on MSME and cooperative actors in Bogor City. The Covid-19 pandemic and industrial disruption 4.0 have changed the socio-economic order; it also affects this type of industry. One of the challenges faced by MSMEs and Cooperatives today is the low accounting literacy and financial governance, coupled with the transformation of the socio-economic order from conventional to digital systems. One solution to increase the skill and knowledge of MSMEs and Cooperatives to the digital system related to accounting literacy and financial governance is through training, mentoring, and research. Pieces of training, mentoring, and research on MSMEs and Cooperative members are conducted by interacting directly through face-to-face and field observation. The implications of the results of this training, mentoring and study, recommend that the training and mentoring undertaken by academics in synergy with Cooperatives and MSMEs Government need to continue to be carried out on an ongoing basis. With continuous training and mentoring, literacy, and accounting skills based on SAK ETAP and financial governance based on Android, MSMEs can be improved to achieve the business's efficiency and performance. Especially in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic and the new normal, MSMEs are still available to exist and compete in the business competition.

Abstract This paper presents a case study of identity construction and performance by examining the dynamic translanguaging practices of a Chinese student in the UK on a widely-used social media platform, WeChat. Drawing on data from WeChat Moment posts, chatting records, face-to-face interviews and online interviews over a period of 10 months, the study discusses identity construction in a digital world with a particular focus on heterogeneity and fluidity. The main findings include the following two points. First, the participant is the epitome of his world; he selects and manipulates linguistic and other semiotic resources indicating his beliefs, attitudes and life trajectory, and he actively, creatively, critically and strategically uses resources from his communicative repertoire to construct heterogeneous and fluid self-identities in his interactions with others. Second, the participant actively creates a virtual translanguaging space on WeChat, within which his new and old identities and different knowledge meet, integrate and fuse. The findings of this research provide detailed insights of digital translanguaging practices of WeChat users and contribute to a comprehensive understanding of identity (re)construction and (re)formation of an increasing number of overseas Chinese students.

Purpose: Lack of knowledge and practical skills on triage remains a global problem, especially within rural hospitals, and very little is known about enhancing the knowledge and skills of emergency nursing staff in rural hospitals of South Africa. The objective was to describe the perceived strategies for enhancing knowledge and practices of triage among nurses working in the emergency departments (EDs) of rural hospitals in South Africa. Research methods: A descriptive qualitative research design was applied to achieve the research objective. A non-probability sampling method was applied to select 17 professional nurses from rural hospitals. An unstructured face-to-face interview method was used to collect data. Data collected were analyzed using Tesch’s method of data analysis. Results: The study findings highlighted the academic needs of nurses working in the ED of rural hospitals. Two themes emerged from this study; (1) The consistent description of the importance of triage training for emergency unit staff, and (2) The description of measures to enhance triage practices amongst emergency unit staff. Findings indicated that triage knowledge and practice remains a challenge, but with formulated strategies like continuous training by workshops, refresher courses, and offering a training module on triage, evaluation of developed guidelines and benchmarks is often enhanced. Conclusions: The study describes the strategies to enhance the conversion of knowledge and practice of triage amongst nurses working in the ED of rural hospitals. The paper argues that the knowledge and practical skills of nurses working in ED are enhanced through the provision of continuous training as workshops, triage module, evaluating the developed guidelines to implement triage, and benchmarking with other hospitals.

This paper describes the conceptually democratic drawing project, ‘We Will Draw with Anyone about Anything’. This action research activity explores the communicative value of collaborative drawing while promoting the deskilling of preconceived institutional necessities for rendering expertise. Exploring the interdependency that is entailed in sitting down at a table and having a collaborative face-to-face conversation with another human being can be different from the modes of communication that comprise the digitized sphere. This project aspires to engage participants in collective visual knowing and simultaneously be a critique of the commodified capitalist approach to drawing practice.

AbstractThis article contributes to debates about how to respond to the changing profile of Higher Education (HE) students, and the marketisation of HE, by challenging prevailing views about student engagement, in order to develop learner-centric and inclusive pedagogies which are relevant to the twenty-first century. The concepts of ‘participatory culture’ and ‘co-creativity’ are often associated with the digital world in which the current generation of students have grown up. But it is a mistake to assume that some learning styles are inherently more participatory than others: participation is not an effect of the medium or form, (analog vs digital), or the space (actual vs virtual), or the mode of interaction a (face-to-face vs networked) through which the learner participates – it is an effect of the practices involved. Students engage with a complex network of both digital and analog texts and spaces, and it is this postdigital hybrid setting within which student engagement takes place. Marketisation provides an opportunity to actively demonstrate our commitments to student-centredness and inclusive practice, by transcending the binary opposition between ‘Student as Partner’ and ‘Student as Consumer’ and recognizing that students are learner-consumers, and allowing students’ diversity to drive innovation, rather than continuing to disempower students by bolstering practices which privilege some learning styles above others, informed by the assumption that innovation is technology-led.

The steps included plan, action, observation, and reflection. The result of the research in the first cycle showed that the students’ achievement and performance were so low. It could be seen from the students’ score in the first cycle was 2.74. the highest score in the first cycle was 4 which were acquired by three students but the highest score at the end of the second cycle was 5.3 which was acquired by 4 students. The lowest score in the first cycle was 1.7 which acquired by one student and the lowest score in the second cycle was 3.3 which was acquired by four students. Based on the data, the researcher concluded that three-step interview technique could increase the students’ ability in speaking. This technique had proven that three-step interview technique was a successful technique to help students in speaking.
