The paper deals with the biological features of introduced species of Cotoneaster genus in the middle taiga subzone of the Komi Republic. The vegetation, flowering, fruiting, rhythm of shoots growth, winter resistance and seed productivity of six species of perennial plants of the genus Cotoneaster in new growth conditions were studied. The seasonal rhythm of development of all studied plant species at the point of introduction corresponds to the climatic conditions of the middle taiga subzone. The most promising species were selected for cultivation.

The article presents the results of a long-term of study of biological features of 54 sorts of Clematis L. genus of collection of the SouthUral Botanical Garden-Institute of UFRC RAS. The aim of the work was to summarize the introduction studies for the possibility of successful use of clematis sorts in vertical gardening in the Bashkir Cis-Urals and adjacent territories. During the period 2007 and 2015, the seasonal rhythm of growth and development and vegetative reproduction were studied, and the prospects of introduction and introduction resistance under the culture were assessed. The length of the clematis growing period varies from 156 to 168 days. The duration of flowering of sorts is 24–111 days. Rooting of clematis sorts using root-forming stimulators is 33 to 100%. The largest number of rooted cuttings was obtained using the preparation “Circon”. According to the results of the introduction success assessment, all the studied sorts have high resistance to local climatic conditions.

The paper presents the results of the research on the growth, development, and biochemical evaluation of introduced Pyrethrum majus plants in the middle taiga subzone of the Komi Republic. It is established that in the conditions of culture the species is characterized by a high stability and winter hardiness. The phenology and dynamics of plant growth were studied. Morphological parameters of vegetative and generative shoots were determined. The yield of essential oil from the aboveground phytomass of P. majus and its component composition were studied. It was found that the content of essential oil of flowering plants varied over the years of research from 0,25 to 1,41% and depended on the weather conditions of the growing season. More than 190 components were found in the essential oil of P. majus plants using the method of GLC analysis, 48 of them were identified. The main terpenoids in the essential oil were S-(+) carvone (5465%), -tuyon (610%), TRANS-and CIS-p-Menta-2,8-dienols (2,32,8%), 1,8-Cineol (1,42,9%), CIS Menta-1(7)8-Dien-2ol (1,52,1%), germacrene d (1,21,8%) -cadinol (0,51,5%), -muurolol (0,22,6%). It was found that the component composition of the essential oil from perennial plants P. majus corresponds to the carvone-Tuyon chemotype and did not change significantly due to the meteorological conditions of the environment. Taking into account a high adaptation of plants of this species to the conditions of the middle taiga subzone of the Komi Republic, high indicators of aboveground phytomass with a sufficient content of essential oil, P. majus can be successfully cultivated in the North as a promising spicy-aromatic medicinal and ornamental plant.

The article provides information about some biological features of the rare species Iris aphylla L., listed in a number of regional Red books. Ten-year-old plants, introduced into the South-Ural Botanical Garden- Institute of Ufa Federal Research Centre of RAS, were studied. Phenological features of the species, indicators of seed productivity and morphometric parameters of cultivars were studied. The assessment of decorative qualities and success of introduction of I. aphylla is carried out. It was revealed that the seed-grown species of I. aphylla in the forest-steppe zone of the Bashkir Urals passes the full cycle of development. According to the terms of flowering, the introduced species is referred to the group of early-flowering irises. Seed productivity is estimated as average. According to the assessment of the decorative qualities I. aphylla is referred to medium decorative plants. The early and fairly long flowering has been noted, as well as the presence of several buds on the shoot. The success of the introduction was six points, that is, the introduced species regularly mass flowering, bears fruit, reproduces vegetative, has a high resistance to local climatic conditions. I. aphylla is recommended to replenish the zonal assortment of cultivated plants of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The results of studying the growth, development and formation of the raw phytomass of Hypericum perforatum plants of different geographic origin during the introduction in the middle taiga subzone of the Komi Republic are presented. Seven samples of Hypericum perforatum were examined, including two cultivars: Zolotodolinsky and Solnechny. A sample (Tallinn No. 885) was identified, which differed in earlier dates of the onset of phenological phases. Hypericum perforatum plants under culture conditions in the middle taiga subzone of the Komi Republic are characterized by a stable developmental rhythm. It has been determined that the number of generative shoots in Hypericum perforatum increases with age. So, in two-year-old plants this indicator was 3-4, in four-year-old plants - 18-26 pcs. per individual. It has been established that from the second year of life, with the seedling method of growing, Hypericum perforatum plants are able to form high yields of medicinal raw materials. As a result of an assessment of the productivity of samples of cultivar Solnechny and sample from Barnaul.

The results of the study of black currant varieties in the Botanical garden of the Institute of biology of the Komi Scientific Center of the Ural branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences are presented. The object of study was to determine the degree of longevity and select promising varieties in the climatic conditions of the middle subzone of the taiga. The following economically useful characteristics were analyzed: winter hardiness, phenological phases, productivity, largefruiting (berry weight). Methods of grouping and evaluating differences among groups were used. It is established that the varieties of black currants are winter hardy and remain productive in the conditions of middle taiga subzone for ten years or more. The varieties ‘Cerera’ (2.9 kg per bush), ‘Naslednica’ (2.6) and ‘Lentyaj’ (2.4) are found to be the most productive. Large-fruited varieties are ‘Seyanec Golubki’(1.58 grams), ‘Naslednica’ (1.54) and ‘Lentyaj’ (1.5). The prospects of growing black currant in the middle subzone of the taiga are confirmed. The promising varieties are revealed: ‘Naslednica’, ‘Lentyaj’ and ‘Cerera’.

В условиях рыночной экономики эффективность работы предприятий лесопромышленного комплекса во многом определяется соответствием характеристик лесоматериалов техническим возможностям перерабатывающего оборудования и используемых технологий в целом. В процессе заготовки древесины в больших объемах с применением высокопроизводительного оборудования возникает необходимость в статистической обработке получаемых массивов данных по каждому контролируемому параметру. Методы статистической обработки требуют сложных вычислений, поэтому возникает необходимость в создании унифицированного программного средства для статистического анализа выборок данных различного объема с достаточным набором рассчитываемых статистических параметров. Целью работы является статистическая обработка размерных характеристик партии лесоматериалов, заготовленных в условиях средней тайги Республики Коми, с использованием специально разработанного программного обеспечения. В ходе исследования были изучены параметры заготовленной древесины – длина и сбег ствола, длина сортиментов, средний диаметр сортиментов, полученные из системы контроля-измерения колесной валочно-сучкорезно-раскряжевочной машины среднего класса фирмы John Deere 1270G 8W, работающей на заготовке древесины в условиях зимнего заготовительного периода. Обработка полученных массивов данных осуществлялась с применением специально разработанного программного обеспечения statsProg, написанного на языке программирования Python. Разработанное программное обеспечение позволяет обрабатывать любые числовые массивы данных, с последующим расчетом статистических параметров и проверки распределения на нормальность. Статистическая оценка партии лесоматериалов, заготовленных в условиях средней тайги Республики Коми с применением валочно-сучкорезно-раскряжевочной машины John Deere 1270G 8W, показала большую изменчивость размерных характеристик, что объясняется природно-климатическими условиями произрастания древесины, в том числе заготовкой смешанных пород, а также выработку сортиментов с учетом их качества и вырезкой дефектных мест. In a market economy the efficiency of timber enterprises is largely determined by the compliance characteristics of the timber technical capabilities of processing equipment and technologies in General. In the process of harvesting wood in large volumes with the use of high-performance equipment, there is a need for statistical processing of the obtained data sets for each controlled parameter. Statistical processing methods require complex calculations, so there is a need to create a unified software tool for statistical analysis of data samples of various volumes with a sufficient set of calculated statistical parameters. The aim of the work is the statistical processing of the dimensional characteristics of a batch of timber harvested in the conditions of the middle taiga of the Komi Republic, using specially developed software. In the study, were studied parameters of the harvested timber – length and stem taper, length of segments, the average diameter of the logs obtained from the monitoring system-measuring wheel harvesters are of the middle class harvester John Deere 1270G 8W, working at logging in the winter procurement period. Processing of the received data arrays was carried out using specially developed software statsProg, written in the Python programming language. The developed software allows you to process any numerical data arrays, with subsequent calculation of statistical parameters and checking the distribution for normality. Statistical evaluation of a batch of timber harvested in the middle taiga of the Komi Republic using the wheel harvester John Deere 1270G 8W showed a large variability in size characteristics, which is explained by the natural and climatic conditions of wood growth, including the preparation of mixed breeds, as well as the development of sortings taking into account their quality and cutting out defective places.
