Competition in all sectors and of human life : in local, national and global, requires the role of art education as a strategic choice. Arts education as part of character education is to obtain aesthetic experience and discover the value of beauty. Tomohon as one of the tourist city has a natural potential and very interesting to visit. Predicate ‘city of flowers’ is an attraction in itself too. Business opportunities in the field of Flora, make businessmen and investors keep to develop business in the field of this industrial. Then training dercoration art or art flower arrangement, became a media that needs to be selected in the creation of quality works. Media is easily obtained and if they supported with a design concept, this is can be interesting artwork in the middle of the competition and the development of applied arts. The charm of the plant is able to present the beauty of the room decor. They can complete by combining various types of flowers in a container, and inserted along with a variety of foliage. Set of parts of the plant will appear more attractive if they knew about the art of stringing. The problem is, there have some basic things who can make wild flowers or leaves to make it look attractive. Based on these ideas, skills need to be provided in an attempt to tackle the problem a lack of interest to pursue business in the field of art is one of the alternatives to bring in additional revenue source. Keywords: art education, aesthetic values, flora, flower, decoration.

Children with Asperger syndrome still need to be adjusted, in regulating their emotion, to their enjoyment in an activity that will be their emotional allocation. Art is able to improve their self-ability, to strengthen their self-confidence, and also to re-shape lack of knowledge about their own identity. This is because activity of art becomes a collection of inspiration, the aspect of imagination that is closely related to the aesthetic experience. This was a qualitative research as a study intended to understand the phenomenon of something that is experienced by the subject of research. For example: behaviour, perception, motivation, and action in holistic way and described in form of words and language, in a specific-natural context and by utilizing various methods. The research findings show that ability of emotional regulation is the ability of the subject in receiving and understanding a command, and then in minimizing tantrum, so that the subject is able to achieve a treatment therapy; including the subject's ability to identify and draw an object or other objects around them, to recognize some painting tools and to answer questions orally or in writing through the image media. The therapy can be packaged through art education based on painting activity which is the advantage of an area itself. Schools present learning programs that also support character education and the creative potential of the children, so that they can live independently later.

The dynamics of life styles changing with an unprecedented momentum in the current Visual Culture Age; It affects many fields such as communication, aesthetics, visual arts, art history, art education. Visual culture in lifestyles that develop as a result of a process in which the individual is consciously or unconsciously involved; It represents an interdisciplinary field and refers to the connection of culture with visual elements. Having an aesthetic experience in the dynamics of life styles produced in today's world, developing a solution-oriented identity with a visionary perspective, presents a model of a qualified individual as a part of visual culture. Through visual arts education, which will provide a rationalist response to the requirements of the current era, activities that will increase the individual's life experiences and provide optimum benefit can be organized. Education has a great role in the integration of the individual into society and adaptation to life, and in this case, prioritizing a visual culture-based approach in art education gains value. Tujuan Penelitian evaluasi kurikulum 2014 Jurusan Pendidikan Seni Tari untuk: (1) Mendeskripsikan hasil evaluasi kurikulum Prodi Pendidikan Seni Tari yang dibutuhkan masyarakat. (2) Mendapatkan data dari alumni/stake hoder mahasiswa untuk mengembangkan konsep kurikulum yang ideal untuk menghasilkan lulusan Prodi Pendidikan Seni Tari yang kompetitif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Realisasi dari penelitian ini adalah riset evaluasi yang memiliki arah tujuan untuk memperoleh umpan balik dari hasil kebijakan. Objek penelitian adalah kurikulum 2014 pada Jurusan  Pendidikan Seni Tari yang akan dilihat dari isi kurikulum, sebaran mata kuliah pada setiap semester, dan diskripsi mata kuliah. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 30 orang yang terdiri dari  alumni Prodi Pendidikan Seni Tari dan  stake holder15  orang  dan mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan seni Tari15 orang. Setting penelitian  ini dilaksanakan di Jurusan Pendidikan Seni Tari  Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan  melalui FGD pertemuan langsung dengan responden . Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian terhadap evaluasi kurikulum 2014 Prodi Pendidikan Seni Tari mencangkup tiga bidang yaitu: (1) isi kurikulum, (2) sebaran mata kuliah, (3) deskripsi mata kuliah.Uji materi kepada alumni dan stake holder  tentang isi kurikulum  didapatkan hasil bahwa kerikulum perlu ditambahkan mata kuliah  Apresiasi Seni, sementara hasil uji materi dengan  mahasiswa dipandang perlu untuk menambahkan mata kuliah olah tubuh dan koreografi. Uji materi pada sebaran mata kuliah responden dari mahasiswa merekomendasikan untuk menempatan mata kuliah seminar pada semester tujuh. Untuk uji materi tentang deskripsi mata kuliah kepada alumni dan stake holder  diperoleh hasil untuk mencantumkan pendidikan karakter dan nasionalisme mata kuliah PKN, Kewarganegaraan, Agama. Penilaian pada mata kuliah praktik perlu dilengkapi dengan penilaian sikap. Sedangkan dari mahasiswa  diperoleh hasil untuk perlu ditambahkan tentang pengelolaan sanggar mata kuliah kewirausahaan.Kata Kunci: Evaluasi, kurikulum 2014, Prodi pendidikan Seni tari Curriculum 2014 Evaluation: Dance EducationAbstractThe purposes of this study were to: (1) describe the result of dance art education study program curriculum evaluation needed by the community; (2) get data from stake holders or alumni to develop ideal curriculum concepts to produce competitive dance arts education study program graduates. This was a qualitative study. The realization of this research was evaluation research that has a direction to get feedback from the policy results. The object of the study was curriculum 2014 in the dance art education study program that will be seen from its content, distribution of courses for each semester, and course descriptions. The subjects of the research were 30 people consisting of alumni of the dance arts education study program: 15 stakeholders and 15 students of the department of dance art education study program. Results on the evaluation of curriculum 2014 in dance art education study program consist of 3 fields: (1) the content of the curriculum; (2) course distribution; (3) course description. Material testing on the alumni and stakeholders about the content of the curriculum revealed that art appreciation course should be added in the curriculum; while material testing on the students suggested adding body training and choreography course. Material testing on the students about the course description recommended putting seminar course on the seventh semester. Then, material testing on alumni and stake holders about course description suggested adding character education and nationalism on citizenship education, citizenship, and religion courses. Scoring on practical courses need to be completed with attitude assessment. Nevertheless, material testing on students showed a need to add management of entrepreneurship courses.Keywords: Evaluation, curriculum 2014, dance art education study program

Instead of yearning for absolute freedom as in the Western city, human agency as an idea seems to be generally understood as conditional in the Asian city. This chapter discusses the obscuring of indigenous urban traditions in Asia, the role of human agency in relation to the meanings of property ownership, conceptions of human labor, and the aesthetic experience of contingency, in an attempt to explore alternative ideas and practices of the place of human life in the environment. Human agency in Asian cities contains elements of intellectual and urban insights that have potential for future cities. However, these potentials and insights must be excavated and reformulated in order to gain theoretical and political efficacy in our fast-changing world today.

The article discusses the role of F. Schleiermacher in the design of the project of the religion phenomenology. Schleiermacher's philosophical theory is a complex fusion of Lutheran theology, modern philosophy and the movement of romanticism. His thinking reflected the borderline situation in the intellectual life of the XVIII– XIX centuries. It resultedin creation of a new image of religion, responded to the spirit of the times. Schleiermacher opposes the deistic teachings, showing that religion is an integral part of human life; it is not rooted in the rational conception of God the creator, but in the inner feeling. Even before the development of phenomenologists, he pointed out that inner feeling is at the heart of religion: by eliminating any moral and rational aspects of religion, Schleiermacher laid the foundation for the well-known numinous R. Otto equation. Schleiermacher's attitude to both the dogmatic and the ritual side of religion was extremely negative, since personal religiosity does not need an external church, in fact a person who has infinitely grasped stands outside the church rituals, because he is the legislator of his own inner religion of feeling. Schleiermacher is one of the first theorists of religious pluralism who formed the most important position of the future science of religion: the comparison of religions is possible, since the religion of feeling common for all mankind made it permissible to search for a single basis of religion and build a large system of religious phenomena united by common principles and implied or actually existing center. According to Schleiermacher, religious experience can also be described in the language of art, since religious experience and aesthetic experience are similar in their basis. Only an experience of the feeling of the infinite can give a person a taste of the religious, and this idea is likely to have the key thought of empathy to the religion phenomenology. Separately, some clauses of Schleiermacher's theory, which were not developed in the writings of religion phenomenologists, are examined in the article.

It has become a shared awareness that the world of education is a way that has been done by human beings throughout their lives to become a means of transmitting and transformation of both values ​​and science. Amidst a goal-oriented society driven by a market economy, knowing one’s truer values and finding a sense of personal authenticity may seem challenging. With the view that education is to prepare a student for a meaningful life, this paper looks toward how arts education and the encouragement of aesthetic experience can go a long way toward helping students find a sense of authenticity in their lives. The arts foster a connection with the self as well as with our peers and the culture of which we are a part. The humanizing characteristics of art such as the emotions, intuition, our bodies and senses, and our beliefs are explored, as is the role of contemporary art. While this paper takes the viewpoint of a visual artist, the ideas apply to the arts in general.

 This paper explores the meaning of Arts and Education from different perspectives. After a careful exploration of the meaning of arts, the paper highlights the role of art in Education with special reference to Nigeria. Art empowers individuals with creative skills that widen the base of participation in the society, create jobs, self reliance, identity, communicates by creating, recording and transferring ideas. It builds and perpetuates social, religious, political and economic stability. On the basis of this, suggestions are offered for developing Art Education in Nigeria. Art Education is a basic and very important aspect of our Education and should not be treated otherwise. Art should be given premium like other subjects in the school curriculum. It should reflect a study of all ages, as this is vital in the development of individuals.
