The level of professional qualification of a music art teacher is especially evident at the stage of creative and performing activities, when the synthesis of pedagogical and creative-performing components of activity allows to achieve the artistic influence of musical art on the individual. Analysis of the activities of music teachers of different levels of skill reveal the unity of pedagogical and creative- performing aspects of skill, their equivalence and complementarity in achieving teacher interaction with students. It is extremely important to reveal the original features of the national musical art (performance, creativity), education in the context of all the real preconditions, trends, factors of their development. There is a growing interest in theoretical and methodological issues of pedagogy and performance in each of the professional music fields. Improving the instrumental and performing training of young professionals, their active involvement in the system of pedagogical activity is a complex dialectical process, which is manifested in various forms of performing skills. The most important component of a musician's professional development is perfect musical and performance training. Various aspects of this process (physiological, psychological and pedagogical, etc.) are studied in the works of Yu. Bay, V. Bilous, E. Yorkina, E. Gurenko, M. Davydov, V. Knyazev, V. Razhnikov, V. Samitov, G. Tsypin etc. Important didactic principles of music teacher's knowledge development are the young teacher's own creative, aesthetic and professional self-improvement, supplementing the personal information and methodological base, creating an individual mobile system of effective pedagogical knowledge and skills that meet specific tasks. Attending concerts of academic music, opera and musical-dramatic performances, etc. (together with students, colleagues, independently); instrumental music, group singing; acquaintance with new musical works of various forms, genres, styles; training and performance as a performer (performers) at local, regional and other conferences, festivals, concerts, performances, etc. actively contribute to the creative self-improvement of the music teacher.

The article proves that in the academic folk-instrumental art of Ukraine the personality of Lubov Mandziuk is significant. This is evidenced by her active concert and performance activities, a high level of teaching skills in the training of future bandura specialists, the identity of scholarly intelligence, organizational talents and the promotion of bandura performance in the world. It is understood that in the modern conditions of development of Ukrainian culture in general and musical art in particular, the versatility of Lubov Mandziuk’s personality is revealed in various manifestations. And it’s not just talents, skills, abilities, beliefs, value orientations, a kind of architectonics of musical thinking, a culture of feelings, diligence, will etc. It is emphasized that, first of all, the existence of Lubov Mandziuk’s personality in creativity is determined by the fact that she is self-fulfilling, because the existential release of creative energy and its direction to the development of the essence of spiritual potential depends on the level of actualization of personal self-realization. Not everyone succeeds, because it requires a lot of effort. A special reason for the author’s thoughts is the comprehension of the intentional space of the creative life of Lubov Mandziuk, which is manifested not only through the demonstration of her own virtuoso performance and artistic abilities, teaching creativity and wisdom, scientific originality, etc., but also through entelechical (movement that embodies the goal in itself) orientation on universal values in life. It is postulated that the personal attitude to one’s existence in the work of Lubov Mandziuk is perceived as the realization of a vocation that has an imperative and evaluative character, is formed on stable moral, psychological and social values, and hence the ability to deal with their own shortcomings, not hide them, uphold beliefs, constantly educate themselves and teach others. The purpose and task of the article is to identify and comprehend the features of the phenomenon of being in the work of personality Lubov Mandziuk. Analyze aspects of her creative self-realization as the realization of spiritual potential. The methodology is based on a set of research approaches to the study of the proposed issues. The basis is a comprehensive approach that combines the principles of systematic, determinism, functional-structural and activity-value methods of analysis. Conclusions The multifaceted figure of Lubov Mandziuk – a musicianvirtuoso, an experienced teacher, researcher certainly deserves special attention of scholars. After all, her creative existence is a transcended movement from a certain self-overcoming, constant self-development to self-realization as the achievement of the fullness of personal life. It (being) is interesting for the multilevel stereoscopicity of the life and professional position of the individual, which involves the mobilization of spiritual potential, all intellectual, psychological, physical resources, which ultimately form the life credo of Lubov Mandziuk. Of course, this is the achievement of a person who perceives his existence as a unique phenomenon and makes significant efforts to master the complex art of “being” in art. Thus, such individuals with a high level of professionalism, an impressive range of worldviews and original strategies for solving professional problems can help overcome the spiritual crisis of modern society, which requires the formation and upholding of spiritual values aimed at national cultural and historical creation.

Such qualities include the development of the spiritual world of man, the discovery of the ability of intellectual thinking. The chamber-instrumental ensemble music in the Ukrainian musical culture of the last third of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st centuries occupies one of the leading places and is characterized by powerful processes in its development. Such circumstances caused the Ukrainian musicologist interests to the problems of chamber-instrumental music creativity and performance. There are appeared researches in the field of theory, history and performance problems covering the most important questions like chamber music definitions, specific genre issues, the growing function of piano in the Ukrainian chamber music, the increasing questions of technique and timbre importance of modern instrumental ensembles. In the significant multifaceted creative work of contemporary Ukrainian composer, Oleksandr Yakovchuk, the genre of chamber instrumental ensemble music represents a complex and interesting phenomenon. Original and skillfully written compositions reflect artistic world of the composer of postmodern time and gained recognition in music life of Ukraine and beyond. These works are highly appreciated in performing practice of our days. The purpose of the article is to analyze the work — “Little Trio” for clarinet, bassoon and piano (1980), which has the signs of neoclassical tendency in the composer’s style. The methodological basis of this research is a comprehensive approach in theoretical understanding of the subject of research (the methods of textology, source study as well as the method of interviewing the author were used). The scientific novelty of this article is in the priority of its main provisions, since the “Little Trio” entered the scientific circulation for the first time. The three-movement “Little Trio” (1980) is notable for the light feeling of timbre colours and the shape clarity. The Ist movement — Allegretto giocoso — is written in a sonata form following all classical traditions. Quite interesting are the two monologues of clarinet and bassoon from the IInd movement, they represent very modern line in Ukrainian chamber music — the possibility of sincere confession which comes through the solo cadence. In the IIIrd movement, the composer took advantage from the folk Ukrainian dance “hopak” using the rhythm of it and creating dance character of the Final.

Background: CrossFit is one of the fastest growing “high-intensity functional training” methods in recent years. Due to the very demanding motion sequences and high loads, it was initially assumed that there was an extremely high risk of injury. However, studies have shown that injury rates are given between 0.74–3.3 per 1000 h of training, which is not higher than in other individual sports such as weightlifting. The purpose of the study was to estimate the type of pain symptoms that are directly related to CrossFit, to estimate the frequency of injuries that occur within a population of recreational CrossFit athletes, and, finally, to identify the factors influencing the frequency of pain during CrossFit training. Methods: A total of 414 active CrossFit athletes completed an online survey inclusive of 29 items focusing on individual physical characteristics and training behavior, as well as simultaneous or previously practiced sports. Results: There was a significantly higher proportion of knee pain in athletes who had previously or simultaneously played another sport (p = 0.014). The duration, intensity, or type of personal training plan developed, along with personal information such as age, gender, or BMI, had no significant influence on the pain data. We could not find any significant variance between the groups that we formed based on the differently stated one-repetition max (RMs). There were differences in athletes who stated that they did specific accessory exercises for small muscle groups. Above all, athletes performing exercises for the hamstrings and the gluteus medius indicated fewer pain symptoms for the sacro-iliac joint (SIJ)/iliac and lower back locations. Conclusions: It is important not to see CrossFit as a single type of sport. When treating a CrossFit athlete, care should be taken to address inter-individual differences. This underlines the significant differences of this study between the individual athletes with regard to the ability to master certain skills or their previous sporting experience. The mere fact of mastering certain exercises seems to lead to significantly more pain in certain regions. In addition, there seems to be a connection between the previous or simultaneous participation in other sports and the indication of pain in the knee region.

Heat pumps are the key technology to decarbonise thermal processes by upgrading industrial surplus heat using renewable electricity. Existing insight-based integration methods refer to the idealised Grand Composite Curve requiring the full exploitation of heat recovery potential but leave the question of how to deal with technical or economic limitations unanswered. In this work, a novel Heat Pump Bridge Analysis (HPBA) is introduced for practically targeting technical and economic heat pump potential by applying Coefficient of Performance curves into the Modified Energy Transfer Diagram (METD). Removing cross-Pinch violations and operating heat exchangers at minimum approach temperatures by combined application of Bridge Analysis increases the heat recovery rate and reduce the temperature lift to be pumped at the same time. The insight-based METD allows the individual matching of heat surpluses and deficits of individual streams with the capabilities and performance of different market-available heat pump concepts. For an illustrative example, the presented modifications based on HPBA increase the economically viable share of the technical heat pump potential from 61% to 79%.

In previous research, there exists some debate about the effects of musical training on memory for verbal material. The current research examines this relationship, while also considering musical training effects on memory for musical excerpts. Twenty individuals with musical training were tested and their results were compared to 20 age-matched individuals with no musical experience. Musically trained individuals demonstrated a higher level of memory for classical musical excerpts, with no significant differences for popular musical excerpts or for words. These findings are in support of previous research showing that while music and words overlap in terms of their processing in the brain, there is not necessarily a facilitative effect between training in one domain and performance in the other.

Due to their inherent noise challenge and potential for significant reductions in fuel burn, counter-rotating propfans (CRPs) are currently being investigated as potential alternatives to high-bypass turbofan engines. This paper introduces an integrated noise and performance assessment methodology for advanced propfan powered aircraft configurations. The approach is based on first principles and combines a coupled aircraft and propulsion system mission and performance analysis tool with 3D unsteady, full-wheel CRP computational fluid dynamics computations and aeroacoustic simulations. Special emphasis is put on computing CRP noise due to interaction tones. The method is capable of dealing with parametric studies and exploring noise reduction technologies. An aircraft performance, weight and balance, and mission analysis was first conducted on a candidate CRP powered aircraft configuration. Guided by data available in the literature, a detailed aerodynamic design of a pusher CRP was carried out. Full-wheel unsteady 3D Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) simulations were then used to determine the time varying blade surface pressures and unsteady flow features necessary to define the acoustic source terms. A frequency domain approach based on Goldstein’s formulation of the acoustic analogy for moving media and Hanson’s single rotor noise method was extended to counter-rotating configurations. The far field noise predictions were compared to measured data of a similar CRP configuration and demonstrated good agreement between the computed and measured interaction tones. The underlying noise mechanisms have previously been described in literature but, to the authors’ knowledge, this is the first time that the individual contributions of front-rotor wake interaction, aft-rotor upstream influence, hub-endwall secondary flows, and front-rotor tip-vortices to interaction tone noise are dissected and quantified. Based on this investigation, the CRP was redesigned for reduced noise incorporating a clipped rear-rotor and increased rotor-rotor spacing to reduce upstream influence, tip-vortex, and wake interaction effects. Maintaining the thrust and propulsive efficiency at takeoff conditions, the noise was calculated for both designs. At the interaction tone frequencies, the redesigned CRP demonstrated an average reduction of 7.25 dB in mean sound pressure level computed over the forward and aft polar angle arcs. On the engine/aircraft system level, the redesigned CRP demonstrated a reduction of 9.2 dB in effective perceived noise (EPNdB) and 8.6 EPNdB at the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) 36 flyover and sideline observer locations, respectively. The results suggest that advanced open rotor designs can possibly meet Stage 4 noise requirements.

The study is devoted to the organization of the teaching/learning content of visual art and self-expression process in practice. The article, based on theory, explains creative self-expression in the context of pupil's meaningful learning, based on the new education policy and the developed guidelines in basic education. The individual experience of prospective primary school teachers and their understanding of self-expression in visual art has been clarified during the reflection and pedagogical observation in the study process in methods of teaching visual art which led to stating the research problem. The theoretical account offered in the article reveals pedagogical possibilities for prospective teachers to organize purposefully self-expression classes in visual art during the teaching practice so that the pupil, learning visual art without professional literacy in art, improved his/her transversal skills acquiring the experience of self-guided learning, critical thinking and problem-solving, innovation, cooperation, and civic participation.

An increasing number of older people in the population will bring new challenges for the society and care coordination. One of the most important questions in care coordination is the employees’ work performance. The overall aim of this study was to examine care employees’ experience of factors that rule how they allocate their time and tasks in the care work. The study was qualitative and consists of focus group interviews with 36 employees in elderly care in five Swedish municipalities. Much of the work that care employees perform is controlled by others in the municipality organised health care. The employees had a limited possibility to decide what should be given priority in their work. However, the employees who participated in the focus group interviews did not want to prioritise tasks and duties they felt were faulty or in direct conflict with their own convictions. When employees experienced that the assistance assessments were correct and helpful to the individual elderly patient this contributed to the employees’ priority and performance of the task. The formal and informal control systems caused the employees’ priority to be mainly quantitative and visible work tasks, rather than more qualitative tasks and care giving to the elderly. In the intention to organise good care coordination that fit each elderly patients’ need it is important that those who work closest to the patient to a greater extent are given the opportunity to make their voice heard in decisions of care planning and assistance assessments.
