This article presents data in the dynamics on industrial injuries and occupational morbidity in the mining industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The aim of this study is to analyze occupational injuries and occupational diseases between 2008 and 2018. An analysis of the number of victims of accidents, including those who died from accidents at work during the period, shows indicators of occupational injuries in the gender aspect, the outcome of accidents by degrees of severity and the material consequences of accidents. During the analyzed period, the overall level of occupational injuries and occupational morbidity in the country remains high. The material consequences of accidents, in addition to social damage, bring great material losses to the state.

Our research aim was to analyze occupational injuries in basic industries in Irkutsk region. Materials and methods. Occupational injuries (OI) in basic industries were analyzed using data from statistical reports issued in 2010–2019. To analyze OI in dynamics, we calculated relative values of OI and applied linear regression and Shewhart charts. Normalized intensity indicators method was used to reveal different probability of injuries in various industries as well as to predict OI risks. Results. Analysis of OI in dynamics indicates that there is a stable descending trend in a number of injuries. However, in spite of this apparent descending trend, OI values are stably by 1.3–3.0 times higher in some industries than on average in the region. The highest frequency coefficient (FC) for occupational injuries was detected in wood processing where it was equal to 5.35 [2.90–7.71] per 1,000 workers; the indicator varied within 1.00–2.93 per 1,000 workers in other industries. Shewhart chart for FC indicates that systems of occupational health and safety management are not efficient enough in all the analyzed industries since FC exceeds the upper limit in some years. We established that severity of occupational injuries tended to grow in wood processing (Cs = +3.23; 5.33 %), metallurgy (Cs = +0.94; 1.26 %), land transport (Cs = +2.42; 4.39 %), and aircraft production (Cs = +0.59; 1.68 %). The greatest number of fatal OI was detected in mining, construction, and agriculture as a share of fatal OI in the overall structure of occupational injuries amounted to 22.0 %, 19.2 %, and 11.7 % in these brunches accordingly. A probability that an injury becomes fatal is also the highest in them, 11.7, 9.0, and 6.0 accordingly. “Wood processing and production of wood articles”, “Aircraft production”, and “Construction” are among industries where risks of occupational injuries are the most probable.

Introduction. Industrial accidents are associated with various factors: human, social and economic problems, which we must strive to eliminate, thereby ensuring a safe working environment. Statistics on occupational injuries are necessary to assess the degree of hazard and potential risks associated with occupational factors to protect workers. Labor inspectorate statistics play an important role in developing national policies, systems, programs and strategies to improve safety and working conditions for miners in Zimbabwe. Labor Inspection in Zimbabwe is one of the main safety control mechanisms. Labor inspection statistics enable the government to monitor the mining industry and better analyze mining safety compliance issues. Problem Statement. The article discusses the prediction of accidents in the mining industry of the Republic of Zimbabwe in order to reduce the incidence of injuries. Economic and social development in the mining industry requires reliable analysis of injury statistics. Statistics of injuries in various production processes are given. Theoretical Part. In the process of data analysis, interpolation algorithms are used embedded in mathematical software. Statistical reports on occupational injuries provided by the Federal State Statistics Service were used as basic information. Conclusion. Mathematical forecasting of industrial injuries in the mining industry in Zimbabwe allows us to determine the likely values of the predicted indicators.

Indicators of industrial injuries in the Russian coal industry remain unacceptably high. Solutions to this problem should be sought in the way of accident prevention, which can be achieved through operational risk management of injuries, implemented by analyzing the state of labor protection for this factor, followed by determining the causes that lead to injuries. On the example of SUEK-Kuzbass JSC, the risks of light, severe, fatal and general injuries were calculated. Based on the individual regression coefficients of the obtained correlations of injury risks, the mines were ranked according to the level of industrial injuries. For a more detailed assessment of the state of labor protection, a matrix of the causes of accidents and their severity is proposed, which displays a qualitative description of the situation at the enterprise.

In this paper, the authors consider environmental audit as a tool for managing the safety of an industrial enterprise. The objects of the study are the industrial enterprises of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The subjects of the study are: the concept, the legal framework, the stages of evolution, the structure and methods of environmental audit. In particular, the authors consider a specific example of the use of internal environmental audit methods to assess the socio-economic efficiency of the innovative project to reduce industrial injuries in industrial enterprises. As tools and methods of analysis, the authors propose to use the author’s approach to the calculation and assessment of the cost of damage from occupational injuries, based on the Danish method of assessing the effectiveness of innovative projects with a pronounced environmental component in the field of prevention of occupational injuries, taking into account the damage arising from the “loss of well-being”. One of the significant proposals of the authors to conduct this study are reasoned proposals to finalize the existing and accepted in the Russian Federation methodology for assessing the economic losses of the organization from industrial injuries and occupational diseases.

It is worth noting that it is precisely industrial injuries that occupy a significant place among the causes of death in the world. The purpose of this work is to study the level of fatal and group injuries in Ukraine. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were solved: 1) to study the effect of seasonality on the level of injuries; 2) to carry out clustering in order to identify homogeneous groups of regions that will characterize their greater or lesser impact on the level of fatal injuries in Ukraine. Considered in time the values of injury rates are not prone to seasonality. The impact of seasonality is noticeable only in certain industries that are directly related to external natural factors (construction or agro-industrial complex). Clustering, taking into account the regional and sectoral structure of Ukraine, identified five groups of regions. Of these, two clusters with a total of 20 regions account for 56% of occupational injuries and injuries. The remaining 44% are distributed between 4 regions. This is explained by the significant centralization of sectoral production and regional disproportion of socio-economic development of Ukraine. Thus, the most dangerous in terms of scale and level of fatal injuries are Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Lviv and Kiev regions. The distribution of fatalities and cases of group injuries is significantly conditioned by the specialization and concentration of sectoral production in a particular region. However, no direct correlation was found between the values of the total number of the injured and the number of deaths. Identifying the causes that have a significant impact on the distribution of such cases, indicated that more than 80% of occupational injuries are related not to the high degree of danger of the manufacturing process itself, but to the employee's behavior, which explains the discrepancy between these indicators. Keywords: fatal and group injuries, clustering method.
