The analysis of the technological parameters of the finishing and strengthening of spline holes by shaped mandrels is performed. It is shown that the main technological parameter determining the processing efficiency is pull. Technological scheme for the mandrelling of spline holes of gear wheels is proposed, which ensures its reduction by applying ultrasonic field to the workpiece.

Plasma arc was used as a heat source to make a surface quenching on alloy cast iron, and orthogonal test was used to optimize the surface hardening technological parameter of plasma arc. The influence of the technological parameters on hardness and depth of the hardening layer was analyzed, and the microhardness and the microscopic structure condition after being disposed were also analyzed and discussed.

The paper presents the results of research on detoxication and treatment of waste water containing nitroesters by ozonation, determines the factors that affect the efficiency of treatment and the conditions of the process, and develops a basic technological scheme for wastewater treatment. The possibility of using ultraviolet irradiation (UFI) for neutralization of wastewater containing nitramines has been established. It is shown that to activate and intensify the destruction of nitramines, the UFI process should be carried out in the presence of sulfuric acid. The technological parameters and chemistry of the process were determined, and a basic technological scheme for wastewater treatment with the return of treated water to the technological cycle was developed.

The reliability reprezents the main criterion, which imposes itself in the definition of the reliability and the competition of the bearins. The rotation precision and the functional role of the bearings are realized if is a good dimensional stability and proper mechanical properties during the running. To fulfill these conditions it is necessary to establish the technological parameters of the processes of primary heat treatment, hot or cold plastic deformation, intermediate heat treatment, mechanical processing, final heat treatment below 0°C or in ultrasonic field. The comparative evaluation of different variants of heat treatment classic or nonconventional (cryogenic or ultrasonic) which are applied on bearing steels from the point of view of reliability have revealed significant increases of the values of real and median reliability for non-conventional heat treated steels, [.

An important aspect of improving the hydraulic efficiency of pipeline transport is its periodic cleaning with mechanical cleaning devices. Cleaning gas pipelines with cleaning pistons is a technologically complex process. It is advisable to adjust the speed of the piston to increase the efficiency of cleaning the pipeline with the crossed track profile. On the ascending and plain sections of the route, maintain a high speed of movement of the device, and on the descending it to reduce. To slow down the movement of the piston in the downstream sections of the main gas pipelines, it is proposed to change the technological scheme of the linear part. It is suggested to use a looping connection to change the flow chart. The change of the speed of movement of the treatment device when changing the technological scheme of the main gas pipeline was evaluated. The influence on the dynamics of the movement of the cleaning piston of the main parameters of the pipeline and looping, as well as the parameters of the movement of the piston itself, are investigated. A mathematical model of the process is built, on the basis of the implementation of which the regularities of the treatment device movement when changing the technological scheme of the gas pipeline are established. An equation was obtained to find the ratio of the mass flow rates of gas in the main gas pipeline before and after connecting the loop, which can be solved by the iteration method. The algorithm is developed and the program of calculation of the degree of reduction of the speed of movement of the piston is developed, depending on the kind of technological parameters and technical characteristics of the treatment device and the pipeline. Based on the calculations, the graphical dependences of the relative speed of the piston on the technological parameters and technical characteristics of the main pipeline were constructed. The authors found that the greatest effect on the degree of reduction of the speed of the piston has the length of the loop. It has been investigated that a decrease in the initial pressure and an increase in the final pressure, as well as an increase in the pressure drop at the moving boundary, lead to an improvement in the braking conditions

Frequency converters of asynchronous three-phase AC motors are widely used in industry, including food production. A thorough understanding of the technical capabilities of frequency converters contributes to their efficient use. This article discusses a technical comparison of two frequency converters of three-phase electric motors of the Russian company "OWEN" and the Danish company "DANFOSS" according to the criterion of the quality of regulation of the technological parameter. For comparison, a test bench was created, in which the devices were tested in turn, under the same conditions. During the preparation and implementation of testing, it turned out that the hardware capabilities of frequency converters for their use in regulating technological parameters are the same, and the parametric capabilities are different. The frequency converter of the "OWEN" company is equipped with a PI controller, and the frequency converter from "DANFOSS" is equipped with a PID controller. The paper is devoted to investigating the position of the anode spot on the cut edge during high-precision plasma processing and studying the trajectory of the melting products flowing from the cut edge. The material of samples is structural steel of St3 (<strong>GOST 14637-89)</strong> having the thickness of 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 mm. The formation of the cut edge was carried out according to the HiFocus technological scheme of cutting by using the equipment manufactured by the Kjellberg firm (Germany). It was found that among technological parameters such as current, cutting speed, pressure and flow rate of cutting and swirl gases considered in the paper the greatest influence on the position of the anode spot on the cut edge is made by the cutting speed. For the investigated technological scheme of cutting the ratio between the anode spot and the thickness of the cut material lies in the range from 0.42 to 0.47. The optimization of the processing speed is based on studying the trajectory of the melting products outflow from the cut edge.

This article is about the possibility of concentrating commercial coal phenol with a concentration of 99% by the weight method of rectification from the phenolic fraction of coal tar. The sufficiency of phenol is ensured by the kumol method, however, the consumption of phenol increases. Modeling of the vapor-liquid equilibrium of double and triple mixtures of components using the NRTL model showed the presence of the following positive homogeneous azeotropic mixtures: phenol-indane, phenol-indene. Modeling of the vapor-liquid equilibrium of double and triple mixtures of components using the NRTL model showed the presence of the following positive homogeneous azeotropic mixtures: phenol-indane, phenol-indene. The compositions and temperatures of these azeotropes are determined. The authors propose the isolation of phenol from the fraction and its purification from indane and indene by a clear rectification method. The technological scheme consisting of four devices is based on the analysis of the component composition of the initial mixture and the existing azeotropes. Modeling of the technological scheme showed that this scheme provides the release of phenol by 99% of the mass, which meets the requirements for coal phenol. After optimizing the technological parameters of the distillation columns, the estimated extraction costs will amount to 5.64 Gcal per ton of commercial phenol.

The contrast experiments between ultrasonic vibration honing and ordinary honing are firstly taken. It shows that the removal rates and the working accuracy of ultrasonic honing are much better than that of the ordinary honing. Then the optimum experiments on technological parameters of ultrasonic vibration honing on engine cylinder is taken, which gained the proper technological parameters. The experimental results indicate that the gained parameter totally meets the actual need and reaches a new height in this field, which provides the reliable technological parameter for the ultrasonic vibration honing to process cylinder and has a broad application in prospect.

Today's level of integrated use of minerals and beneficiation wastes in Ukraine, in particular, at the Kryvbas GOK, is unsatisfactory, as it is generally allowing the production of additional types of construction products. The volume of mining is growing, but only a small percentage of the extracted volume is transferred to the finished product. The residue in the form of waste is returned to the environment, polluting it. The reason for this is the lack of technology for integrated mineral processing and waste disposal. The article presents the results of industrial tests of off-balance manganese ore processing technology of Ordzhonikidze GOK with a manganese content of 15–30%. It is shown that nitric acid leaching of manganese with subsequent precipitation of impurities with soda or alkali allows you to consistently purify manganese from transition and alkaline earth metals. The obtained manganese oxide has a high degree of purity, which allows obtaining pure compounds Mn (NO3)2∙6H2O, MnO2 and metallic manganese for chemical current sources. The use of columnar clarifiers with a fluidized bed with the application of pulsations allowed to eliminate time-consuming filtration processes. Concomitantly formed sodium nitrate serves as a raw material for mineral fertilizers. Experimental studies on the beneficiation of off-balance manganese ores allowed us to determine the main technological parameters of the extraction of components and to develop a technological scheme of beneficiation. According to the proposed technological scheme, it is possible to obtain high-quality concentrates of manganese (IV) oxide. The use of optimal technological parameters of enrichment allows up to 95% of Mn to be extracted from off-balance manganese raw materials. In the long run, this will reduce dependence on imports of manganese raw materials and significantly reduce the cost of domestic manganese products.

In fast spreading hard turning occasionally a so-called white layer appears on the machined surface, which is mostly harmful. The formation of white layers and their composition, structure and thickness were investigated in the turning of the inner cylindrical surface of gear wheels made from 20MnCr5 case hardened steel, in order to identify to what extent the technological parameters of turning influence the white layer formation. On the basis of the measurement results it was possible to include border-line technological conditions in an empirical formula with which white layer formation can be avoided.
