Implementation of Lesson Study and Problem Based Learning Model on Mathematics Learning Independence

The learning independence of students is still low as the background of the implementation of this research. The purpose of this research is to describe the independence of students using Lesson study and Problem Based Learning models in mathematics learning. This type of research is descriptive research. The population is all students of class VIII of Junior High School Pertiwi 2 Padang in 2019/2020. Sampling was done by purposive sampling and determined class VIII-2. The research instruments were the learning independence questionnaire and the Lesson Study observation sheet. Analysis of learning independence data is described based on the results of the pretest and protest scores. The Lesson Study was carried out in 4 rounds using the Problem Based Learning model which included Plan, do, and See activities. The results showed that there was an increase in students' learning independence through the implementation of Lesson study with the Problem Based Learning model.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) peningkatan motivasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII B SMPN 7 Singaraja melalui penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, (2) peningkatan prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII B SMPN 7 Singaraja melalui penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, dan (3) tanggapan siswa kelas VIII B SMPN 7 Singaraja terhadap model pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII B SMPN 7 Singaraja sebanyak 32 orang siswa.Data motivasi siswa dikumpulkan menggunakan angket motivasi, data prestasi belajar siswa dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes prestasi belajar, dan tanggapan siswa dikumpulkan menggunakan angket tanggapan siswa. Data yang telah terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa mengalami peningkatan dan rata-rata skor tanggapan siswa telah berada dalam katagori positif.Kata kunci:       Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Motivasi Belajar   Matematika, Prestasi Belajar Matematika AbstractThis study aims to find out: (1) an increase in mathematics learning motivation of VIII B class students of Singaraja 7 Junior High School through the application of problem-based learning models, (2) improvement of mathematics learning achievement of VIII B class students of Singaraja 7 Junior High School through the application of problem-based learning models, and ( 3) responses of students of class VIII B of SMPN 7 Singaraja to problem-based learning models. This research is a classroom action research which is carried out in three cycles with the research subjects being students of class VIII B of SMPN 7 Singaraja as many as 32 students. Student motivation data was collected using motivation questionnaire, student achievement data were collected using learning achievement tests, and student responses were collected using student response questionnaires. The data that has been collected is then analyzed descriptively. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kota Bengkulu dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif (Descriptive Research). Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII F SMP Negeri 2 Kota Bengkulu Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018 yang berjumlah 34 orang peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar tes dan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) pada materi lingkaran. Berdasarkan hasil deskriptif hasil belajar matematika peserta didik menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar peserta didik menjadi lebih meningkat. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan rata-rata hasil nilai LKPD menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning yaitu 89,63 dan rata-rata nilai tes yaitu 84,56.Kata Kunci : Deskriptif, Hasil Belajar Belajar, Problem Based LearningABSTRACTThe aim of this research was to describe the results of learning mathematics students VIII grade SMP Negeri 2 Kota Bengkulu with Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. Abstract This study descriptively aims to determine the tendency of learning achievement, using constructivism learning models compared to lecture learning models. Data retrieval is done by observing, giving questionnaires and interviews with the subjects of students from schools of junior high school 2 Arjasa. This research is based on the problems that exist at junior high school 29 padang, namely the learning model that is less varied, students' learning competencies are still low. Efforts that can be done are applying the learning model problem based learning (PBL) with scientific literacy in the digestive system material at 29 Padang Junior High School. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the learning model that Problem Based Learning (PBL)contained scientific literacy to the learning competencies of Grade VIII students of 29 SMP Negeri Padang. This research is an experimental research with randomized control group posttest only design. The study population is the students of class VIII Junior high school 29 padang 2018/2019 academic year which spread into nine classes. Sampling research using simple random sampling. The results were selected class VIII.3 as experimental class and class VIII.4 as a control class.The hypothesis in this study was tested using the t-test. The results of the study using the t-test it can be concluded that the competency of students' knowledge of the value of tcount3,34> ttable 1.67, in the competency attitude the value of tcount4.26> ttable 1.67, and the competence of value skills tcount 4.21> ttable 1.67. This shows that the hypothesis is accepted. So, it can be concluded that the application of PBL models with scientific literacy can improve the competency of knowledge, attitudes, and skills of class VIII students of junior high school 29 Padang. Keywords: Problem Based Learning, Sains Literation, Learning Competency

This study aims to: (1) To determine the effect of problem-based learning models on mathematics critical thinking skills of junior high school students; (2) To find out the attitudes of students towards the problem-based learning model. The population in this study were eighth grade students of Junior High School of 28 Medan. By random sampling selected class VIII-F as an experimental class as many as 40 students and class VIII-E as a control class as many as 40 students. The data used in this study are quantitative data and qualitative data. Quantitative data are data obtained from tests of students' critical thinking skills and qualitative data, namely data obtained from student attitude questionnaires. Based on the analysis of research data, obtained the following results: (1) the results of regression analysis obtained the equation = 51.89 + 23.57X means that the problem-based learning model has a positive effect with an average value of 75.46 mathematical thinking skills of students . From the results of the correlation it was found that the influence of the problem-based learning model was strong enough with the results of the correlation coefficient of 0.568 and the coefficient of determination of 32.3% so it can be concluded that the problem-based learning model influences students' critical thinking skills. (2) Based on student attitudinal response results it can be concluded that the student response is very positive towards the problembased learning model with an average of ≥ 86.03.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika SMP kelas VIII semester genap dengan model problem-based learning berorientasi pada prestasi belajar, kemampuan pemecahan masalah, dan sikap percaya diri siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan model Plomp (penelitian awal, pengembangan, penilaian). Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta Katolik Maria Goretti Ende. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengkonversi data kuantitatif berupa skor hasil penilaian menjadi data kualitatif berupa nilai standar skala lima. Penelitian ini menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika kelas VIII semester genap berupa RPP dan LKS. Dari hasil validasi ahli, skor penilaian guru, penilaian siswa, observasi keterlaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran, tes prestasi belajar, tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah, dan angket sikap percaya diri menunjukkan bahwa RPP dan LKS adalah valid, praktis, dan efektif.Kata Kunci: Perangkat pembelajaran, problem-based learning, prestasi belajar, pemecahan masalah, percaya diri Developing Mathematics Learning Kits Using the Problem-Based Learning Model for Grade VIII of JHS in the Even Semester AbstractThis study aimed to produce mathematics learning kits using the problem based learning model oriented to the learning achievement, problem solving skill, and self-confidence for Grade VIII students of the junior high school (JHS) in the even semester. This study was and development study used the development model by Plomp (preliminary study, development, evaluation). The research subjects were teachers and students of Grade VIII of Swasta Katolik Maria Goretti Ende. The analysis of the data was done by converting the quantitative data in the form scores as the results of the evaluation into qualitative data in the form of five-scale standard scores. This study produce mathematics learning kits in the form of lesson plans and student worksheets for Grade VIII students of the junior high school in the even semester. Of the results of expert validation, a teacher evaluation scores, a students evaluation scores, an observation for the implementation of learning activities, a learning achievement test, a problem solving skil test, and a self-confidence questionnaire show that lesson plans (RPP)  and student worksheets (LKS) is valid, practical, and effective. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of students' mathematical communication and disposition abilities taught with discovery learning models. This study us quantitative approach with the type of experimental research and the research design us pretest and posttest design type experiments. The sample was chosen randomly from two classes of 7th grade in one of public junior high school in Sigli, Aceh. The research instrument used was mathematical communication ability test and mathematical disposition questionnaire. The data analysis of students' communication and disposition ability was done by two-way ANAVA test at a significant level of 0.05. The results showed that the improvement of students' mathematical communication and disposition skills taught with discovery learning models was better than those taught with conventional approaches. Furthermore, there was no interaction between discovery learning model and the level of students towards improving communication skills and mathematical dispositions. Therefore, the mathematics teachers can implement discovery learning models in learning to build the next polyhedron. Future researchers should conduct research at other schools in order to improve students' mathematical communication skills in mathematics learning

This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve mathematics learning in class VIII Junior High School 1 at Bontonompo through the ARIAS learning model. The problem in this research are less then 75% of students have mathematics learning under KKM and students less learning activites. The research was carried out during two cycles. The obtained data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Based on the results of the research in Cycle I, only 26% of students fulfilled the KKM value were continued to Cycle II and the results met individual and classical completeness is 78% of students fulfilled KKM scores and student activities increased. Learning model is standardization for developing the one's skill and in the interpersonal situations. This study aims to determine the effect of learning models to the test results of the students’ writing skill of the explanation text in class VIII grade at junior high school. This research is an ex-post-facto research. The population of this research is all students of VIII grade at SMP of the 2019/2020 academic year. The sample in this study were students of class VIIIA and VIIIB SMP N 22 Semarang with the amount of 64 students who were taken by cluster random sampling, namely by choosing two classes randomly. Data collection techniques were questionnaires for student learning model data and tests to obtain data on the results of the skill to write explanation text for class VIIIA and VIIIB students. The results showed that (1) students with auditory learning models had the highest average score rather than the others who use visual and other learning models. (2) the learning model in this study has a significant effect on the results of the students; skill to write explanation text. (3) The learning model in this study gives e a large effective contribution 89.9% to the results of the students’ writing skill of explanation text; this proved that the learning model is one of the important factors for the students' achievement in writing skill of explanation text.
