Budgeting has become a fundamental issue for many organizations and business entities across the globe. Despite the availability of legal framework on budgetary planning in the public sector, County Governments are still facing challenges such as delays in payment to suppliers, budget deficit, stalled projects and poor development records. It is on this basis that this study sought to investigate the relationship between budgetary planning and financial performance of County Government of Kericho, Kenya. The study was guided by allocation of resources theory, institutional theory and expenditure theory. The study adopted a correlation survey research design. The target population for the study was 3,848 employees from 12 departments of the County Government of Kericho. Proportion method and simple random sampling technique were used to ascertain sample size for the study. Both secondary and primary data were used for data collection where secondary data was collected from records in the County Government offices and primary data collected through structured questionnaires. Validity was ensured by discussing the content of the questionnaire with the supervisors and subject experts before going to the field. Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was used to determine the reliability of the research instrument which was found to be 0.873 which was considered ideal. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Descriptive statistics was presented by frequency tables, charts and graphs while inferential statistics were presented by correlation and regression models. The findings established that there was significant statistical relationship between budgetary planning (β =1.096, P<0.05). The study concluded that the independent variables understudy contributed 60.5 variation on financial performance (R2 =0.605). The study recommends that for efficient budgetary planning the county government should set realistic revenue targets so as to ensure that expected expenditure matches expected incomes and also acquire and train staff involved in budget planning for efficient planning process. It is on this basis that this study sought to investigate the relationship between monitoring and financial performance of the County Government of Kericho. The study was guided by expenditure theory. The study adopted a correlation survey research design. The target population for the study was 3,848 employees from 12 departments of the County Government of Kericho. A stratified sampling technique method and simple random sampling technique were used to ascertain the sample size for the study. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Descriptive statistics were presented by frequency tables, charts, and graphs, while inferential statistics were presented by correlation and regression models. The findings established that there was a significant statistical relationship between budgetary monitoring and financial performance (β = 0.901, p < 0.05). The study concludes that the budgetary monitoring had significant impact on financial performance of County Government of Kericho. The study recommends that for an efficient budgetary process, the county government should set realistic revenue targets to ensure that expected expenditure matches expected incomes and also acquire and train staff involved in budget planning for an efficient planning process. Participation from other stakeholders was also recommended to enhance the implementation process. The study recommends that further research on determinants of budget implementation in county governments should be carried out.

The research is proposed to test the influence of Leadership and Motivation Work on Public Service Quality. The population in this study was the Kantor Kementerian Agama Sungai Penuh who had received the last 1 year service at the Kantor Kementerian Agama Sungai Penuh, amounting to 260 people. Furthermore, by using the Slovin formula, a sample size of 158 people was chosen with a sampling technique based on Simple Random Sampling. This study uses primary data and secondary data. Data analysis techniques used are path analysis and hypothesis testing using t test with data analysis using SPSS version 20. The results of the study based on showing that partially the Leadership and motivation work have a positive and significant effect on Public Service Quality. The results also show that motivation work variables act as intervening variables between Leadership and Public Service Quality.

This research aims to analyse the practice of halal labels as well as the process of consumer choice when choosing Halal products at Indomart Panumbangan. The data used in the study is primary data and secondary data. Primary Data is obtained directly from the survey dissemination to the research respondent. Secondary data is derived from literature, journals, or data related to research purposes. The population in this study is the consumer of Indomart Panumbangan, a sampling technique is a simple random sampling, a sampling of 50 people. Methods for collecting data using questionnaire or poll. The data analysis techniques in this study are validity and reliability tests, simple linear regression analyses as well as linear coefficient (R) analyses and determinations (R2).  The results of the study showed the halal Label on each packaged food product offered at Indomart Panumbangan 90% of the official halal Label, the rest of which are labeled halal but not in accordance with the provisions of LPPOM MUI. The selection process on products labeled halal, consumers influenced cultural factors. From a variable X R2 test (Halal label) it affects 29.8% against Y (consumer choice). From simultaneous test results and variable X partial tests significantly affect the consumer's preference (Y).

According to the American Marketing Association, green marketing is the marketing of products that are presumed to be environmentally safe, To analyse the factors influencing the green marketing products in Coimbatore city.Objectives of the study, To analyse the factors influencing the green marketing products in Coimbatore city. The describptive research has used this study. Primary as well as secondary data has been used in this study. Primary data collected from structured questionnaire. Secondary data were collected from journals, magazines, news paper etc. Simple random sampling technique adopted in this study.Suggested this study, Consumer needs to be made more aware about the merits of Green products. The consumer needs to be educated and made aware of the environmental threats. It should be made sure that the consumer is aware of and concerned about the issues that your product attempts to address. Green Marketing campaign and green advertising is good step toward it. Conclude this study, an environmental committed organization may not only produce goods that have reduced their detrimental impact on theenvironment, they may also be able to pressure their suppliers to behave in a more environmentally responsible fashion.

Learning entrepreneurship is very important for special students in vocational high schools (SMK). However, there are still many students getting entrepreneurial grades under the standard (KKM). It can be said that student achievement in entrepreneurship subjects is low, this is inseparable from the factors that influence learning achievement such as: family environment, education costs, and reading interest. The research objective is to look at the effect of family environment and educational costs on student achievement both simultaneously and partially and to see the influence of family environment, education costs, and reading interest on learning achievement both simultaneously and partially. The population in this study was the entire class XI Pharmacy Pharmacy Ikasari Pekanbaru with 249 students. The sampling technique used Simple Random Sampling with a sample size of 153 students. The data in this study were secondary data obtained from school documents in the form of student daily test scores and primary data obtained from questionnaires filled out by students. The results showed that family environment and education costs had a positive and significant effect on learning achievement both 43.4% simultaneously and partially with a large coefficient of peht 43.6% and 39.7% and family environment, education costs, and reading interest positive and significant effect both simultaneously at 56.3% and partial with a peht coefficient of 16.5%, 13.2%, and 57.3%.

The development modes of transportation in Indonesia led to competition in the various modes such as by land; sea and air were increasing. Railway is one mode of transportation, especially as the most dominated by the passenger in Bandung. Due to higher competition pattern, efforts were made to improve passenger satisfaction. Various complaints can occur, and will increase if not addressed promptly so that the company should seek to restore service (service recovery) that passengers are satisfied. This study was conducted to determine how the implementation of the program service recovery Argo Gede Train, perceived satisfaction of passengers and how much influence the program service recovery on customer satisfaction.The object of this research was Argo Gede Train passenger route Bandung-Jakarta. The independent variable in this study was a service recovery program (X), and the dependent variable was customer satisfaction (Y). The type of research was descriptive verification, through explanatory survey method with simple random sampling technique, and 100 respondents were analyzed by linear regression analysis. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data, with data collection through interviews, direct observations, and questionnaires' research, and literature studies. The results showed in the service recovery program, has improved the accuracy of the biggest scores. The results showed that the service recovery program has the effect of 47.80% on customer satisfaction to note that the service recovery program has a significant impact on customer satisfaction.  Keywords: Service Recovery, Customer Satisfaction

The purpose of the study was to examine the influence of board audit committee characteristics on the financial performance of selected commercial banks in Ghana during the period of 2008 to 2017. The correlational design was employed. The study population was 23 commercial banks licensed under the Bank and Special Deposit Taking Institution Act with audit committee on their board and offices in Ghana as at December 2018. The sample size for the study was 13 commercial banks in Ghana. The lottery method of simple random sampling technique was used to select the 13 banks. The study made use of only secondary data. Statistical tools such as means, standard deviations, Pearson product moment correlation, and linear multiple regression analysis were used to analyse the data. The findings of the study revealed that when banks audit committee increase the frequency of their meetings, increase the number and quality of financial qualifications of member on board and also increase the size of the audit committee members on total board membership, it will have a significant influence on the banks’ financial performance. It was recommended to Bank of Ghana (BoG) and managers of the various commercial banks to ensure that audit committee members are independent, meaningfully represented at boards of the banks, and are people with expertise in accounting/finance.

The population in this study was the Sungai Penuh City community who had received the last 1 year service at the Kantor Urusan Agama Kecamatan Sungai Penuh, amounting to 150 people. Furthermore, by using the Slovin formula, a sample size of 110 people was chosen with a sampling technique based on Simple Random Sampling. This study uses primary data and secondary data. Data analysis techniques used are path analysis and hypothesis testing using t test with data analysis using SPSS version 20. The results of the study based on showing that partially the individual characteristics and competence of employees have a positive and significant effect on community service satisfaction. The results also show that employee competency variables act as intervening variables between individual characteristics and community service satisfaction.

Purpose:  The purpose of the study was to establish the effect of determinants of access to microcredit on financial performance of retailing SMEs in Wajir County, Kenya.Methodology: The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. The target population comprised of all the 5000 retailing small and medium enterprises in Wajir County where the units of analysis were the SME owners. The study used stratified random sampling and simple random sampling technique to come up with the sample. The target population was stratified into 6 strata (the 6 sub-counties in Wajir County). Further, random sampling was used to select 146 SMEs from each sub-county. The study used primary data which was largely quantitative and descriptive in nature. The questionnaires were self-administered with the help of two research assistants. The data analysis was undertaken using SPSS Version 20 where the statistics generated included descriptive statistics and inferential statistics.Results: The study findings revealed that savings, meeting the eligibility criterion, loan structuring and some socio economic characteristics positively and significantly affected the financial performance of SMEs in Wajir County.Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy: the study recommended that SMEs should take the initiative to increase the amount they saved so that they could increase their borrowing capacity. The study also recommended that SME owners needed to take the initiative of ensuring that they were all the time able to meet the necessary requirements needed for obtaining loans especially their documentation, business and repayment plans and aim at ensuring that they acquired the necessary collateral. It was further recommended that MFIs needed to ensure that the loan structure presented to SMEs were favorable. The study also recommended that it was necessary for SMEs to expand/grow their asset base so as to increase the ability to repay the loans. They also needed to expand their networks especially within the financial institutions circles so that they could increase the trust the MFIs had on them and for easy considerations for loans.

Human resource is the heart of every organization because every other resources depend on the human resources for effective utilization. For the human resource to perform its activities effectively, there must be some level of motivation given to the workers. This paper examines motivation as a way of improving workers’ performance in Bayelsa State Polytechnic, Aleibiri. In this work, the meaning of motivation was conceptualized, its impacts on workers’ performance, factors that motivate workers, causes of poor workers performance among others are extensively discussed. To achieve the objective of the paper, primary and secondary data were used. The survey research design method was used to obtain the primary data. That is, questionnaire was designed and administered to the respondents. The simple random sampling technique was adopted to ensure that every member of the population is giving equal chance to be included for the study. Data collected from the field was analyzed witharithmetic. The secondary source of data includes textbooks and journal articles. The result from the findings revealed that non-implementation of staff promotion, inadequate staff training, unconducive working environment among others contribute to low workers’ performance. Furthermore, the study also revealed that, implementation of staff promotion, study leave with full pay, payment of promotion arrears, staff training motivate and enhance worker performance.Arising from the findings, the study recommend that government should implement staff promotion and as well pay all outstanding promotion arrears to workers. Also, staff should be granted study leave with full pay and regular staff training programme should be organized to help workers acquire new skills to enhance their job performance.
