Communicative language teaching has become a familiar part of the landscape of language teaching in the last three or four decades. Teachers who perceive the objectives of teaching foreign languages associated with learning intercultural competence will be more inclined to make the process of teaching foreign languages more intercultural than teachers who perceive objectives as related to the acquisition of communicative competence. In this paper the relationship between culture and language is going to be explored by focusing on their role and impact in the process of learning languages and education.

IMPORTANCE OF THE DIDACTICS OF NON-LINGUISTIC DISCIPLINES IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING Learning does not mean anything but learning with all your senses and feelings. The young generation lives nowadays in a complex media world to which foreign language didactics also has to respond. Educators and teachers should use numerous materials that do not only develop language skills, but also conveycultural approaches. The teaching of non-linguistic disciplines plays a key role in foreign language teaching, and foreign language teaching is currently very modern in its cultural context. The paper attempts to outline the existence of the so-called didactics of non-linguistic disciplines in foreign language teaching in the Czech Republic. On the basis of a questionnaire survey among foreign language teachers, the extent to which foreign language teachers are confronted with the content of didactics of non-language subjects was examined. The authors were also interested whether there are differences between teachers of different foreign languages (English, German, Russian, French), and which preferences teachers of these foreign languages manifest when choosing their teaching material. We believe that the content of the didactics of non-linguistic disciplines is an essential part of foreign language teaching and can greatly enrich this field.

the article deals with the directions in the methodology of teaching foreign language to students of secondary schools and cadets and students of educational organizations of the Ministry of internal Affairs. The issue of the General educational role of teaching foreign languages is discussed. Attention is paid to the discussion of the point of view of some Methodists about the place and role of the theoretical and descriptive aspect of teaching. Proponents of this theory believe that this aspect is the essence of the General educational function of language teaching, and sometimes argue that it should be considered as the main content of learning and its main purpose. In the existing methodological concepts, two points deserve the sharpest criticism: the wrong understanding of the General educational meaning of foreign languages and the resulting erroneous definition of the content and essence of teaching. Ready-made signs of a language, its systems of elements and structures can and should be studied separately as the sum of phenomena and facts of language in the corresponding theoretical courses; but specific types of communicative activity are always mastered, where the "lexical", "grammatical" and "phonetic" aspects appear in an indissoluble organic unity, because not only in any act of language communication, but also in any sign of a sound language, there are both "vocabulary", "grammar", and "phonetics". From the General purpose of teaching a foreign language at school, it follows that it cannot be reduced to the development of any one type of communication activity (for example, reading or speaking), since this would unacceptably narrow the practical value of learning; the school should lay the Foundation for using all four main types: speaking, listening, reading to oneself and writing.

This investigation benefits from the following methods: axiological linguistic method, method of cognitive analysis, comparative method, processing of lexicographical sources. The result of the study is formation of the axiological scale and development on its basis of the taxonomic model of values and anti-values in the phraseology of the Russian and German languages. The taxonomic model of values and anti-values in the phraseology of the language allows submitting axiological hierarchy reflecting the inter-layer differentiation of values and anti-values represented by axiological phraseology. The role of literature in the ELT classroom has been re-assessed by many experts, and now many of them view literary texts as providing rich linguistic input, in addition to effective stimuli for students to express themselves in other languages. In this way, literature can be a potential source of learner motivation. Literary texts offer a rich source of linguistic input and can help learners to practice the four language skills -speaking, listening, reading and writing- in addition to exemplifying grammatical structures and presenting new vocabulary. It is found out as well that literary texts provide opportunities for multi-sensorial classroom experiences and can appeal to learners with different learning styles.
