Aim: The object of the study is to increase the efficiency of treatment in patients with generalized periodontitis by using a laser in complex treatment. Materials and Methods: Eighty patients underwent for instrumental and X-ray examination of the oral cavity, bacteriological studies of the microbiota of periodontal pockets, clinical analysis of peripheral blood that was taken from the ulnar vein and capillary blood that taken from the gums, as a local treatment carried lesion treatment portion of diode laser. Results: It was determined that opportunistic microflora, dominating before treatment in the contents of periodontal pockets, was not isolated in all patients, but on the 10th day of treatment, the microflora of periodontal pockets had stabilized. Both in the main group and in the comparison group, among neutrophils and monocytes, the populations of phagocytes with a low digesting ability prevailed, however, the proportions of medium- and highly active phagocytes after laser treatment were higher than after treatment with standard conservative therapy. Conclusions: The use of a laser for the therapeutic stage of the complex treatment of patients with generalized periodontitis of the I-II degree, chronic course contributes to the acceleration of reparative processes, a decrease in the degree of destruction in bone tissue, a decrease in the intensity of pain syndrome, a decrease in collateral edema, has an antibacterial effect and a longer stabilization of the periodontal condition.

Introduction. Degenerative-dystrophic changes in the spine are the most common chronic human diseases. Pronounced clinical manifestations of vertebrogenic diseases are observed during active labor activity and represent one of the most frequent causes of temporary disability. It is also known that any pain syndromes are accompanied by the development of psychovegetative disorders, which reduces the effectiveness of treatment. In recent years, there has been a reasonable increase in the interest of the medical community to the non-drug treatment methods. It is caused by the polypharmacotherapy side effects, an increased numbers of allergic reactions, problems with polypragmasia, and a low level of compliance. At the same time, the question of the possibility of various non-drug treatment methods combining is quite acute. The goal of research is to substantiate the clinical effectiveness of the combined application of osteopathic correction and reflexotherapy in the complex treatment of patients with dorsopathy at the cervical-thoracic level.Materials and methods. A prospective controlled randomized study was conducted on the basis of the medical clinics of LLC «Family Health» (Kazan) and ANO «Center for SEB assistance» (Kazan) from April 2018 to May 2019. The study involved 52 people with dorsopathy at the cervical-thoracic level, aged from 25 to 45 years. In accordance with the exclusion criteria, 7 people dropped out of the study. The remaining patients (45 people), depending on the used treatment method, were divided by a simple randomization method using a random number generator into three groups of 15 people. The first group (main group) received osteopathic correction and reflexotherapyon the background of standard drug therapy; the second and the third groups (control groups) received only osteopathic correction orreflexotherapy, respectively, on the background of standard drug therapy. The osteopathic examination was performed for all patients regardless of the group, before and after the course of therapy, with the formation of an osteopathic conclusion. Also there was the estimation of the degree of pain syndrome severity, the asthenia, and the degree of accumulated emotional and energy charge that does not get out in a person.Results. It was found in the course of the study that the inclusion of osteopathic correction and reflexotherapy in the complex therapy of patients with dorsopathy at the cervical-thoracic level is clinically more effective than the isolated use of these methods. Such complex therapy allows to achieve a more significant reduction in the severity of the pain syndrome by VAS (p<0,05), relief of internal emotional tension (p<0,05), and increase the effectiveness of correction of dominant somatic dysfunction. Based on the obtained data, it could be assumed that reflexotherapy potentiates the effects of osteopathic correction.Conclusion. Based on the study, it can be concluded that the combination of osteopathic correction and reflexotherapy in the treatment of patients with dorsopathy at the cervical-thoracic level increases the clinical effectiveness of the standard drug therapy. At the same time, it is worth noting the potentiating effect of the combined use of two non-medicinal methods. The question of combining of various non-drug treatment methods is quite acute today, so this study will be continued.

Relevance. The success of treatment of periodontal diseases directly depends on the patient’s response to the therapy, therefore, the characteristics of the person’s personal characteristics can affect both the effectiveness of treatment and the prevention of relapse of the disease.Purpose. To study the features of the internal picture of the disease in the process of complex treatment of adult patients suffering from chronic generalized periodontitis.Materials and methods. The generally accepted comprehensive treatment of chronic generalized periodontitis in 69 middle-aged and elderly men was carried out taking into account the personal response of patients Solovyov «Psychosensory-anatomical-functional maladaptation syndrome».Results. When patients were discharged from the hospital, there was a difference in the phenomena of maladaptation among the elderly and middle-aged: in middle-aged people, sufficient adaptation to the conditions of existence was determined; in elderly people, due to the existing comorbid pathology, a state of maladaptation was diagnosed, which was caused by the presence of complaints of defects in the dentition.Conclusion. In elderly people, as soon as possible after completion of treatment in a hospital, dental rehabilitation cannot be considered completed, which requires the adoption of organizational measures for their timely provision of dentures.

The article reflects the results of a retrospective non-comparative study, the objects of which were 34 outpatient comorbid patients (15 of which are over 60 years old) with chronic wounds of the lower limbs developed against the background of varicosity, post-thrombotic disease, chronic arterial insufficiency of the lower limbs, diabetes mellitus or their combination. Their local treatment was carried out using atraumatic ointment dressing «Branolind N» containing Peruvian balsam. There were 23 women (67.6 %) and 11 men (32.4 %). In microbiological study prior to the beginning of treatment in 31 patients the growth of a pathogen of wound infection was revealed; in 19 patients — Staphylococcus aureus in monoculture and in various associations, in 6 patients — Pseudomonas aeruginosa in monoculture, in other cases — other pathogens. In 3 patients the pathogen was not detected. The average wound size was 34 cm2 . The phase of the wound process was additionally confirmed by cytological studies. After treatment the average area of the wound defect decreased by 10 cm2 and made 24 cm2 on average. Full healing of the wound defect occurred in 11 patients, the others had granulation and active marginal epithelization. There was also a decrease in bacterial semination of wounds, a change in composition of infection agents to less aggressive monoflora, and cytologically — a decrease in signs of inflammation against the background of significant activation of reparative processes.

The effect of carbon nanotubes on the catalytic properties of Rh-Mn-Li/SiO2 catalysts was investigated for CO hydrogenation. The catalysts were comprehensively characterized by means of X-ray power diffraction, N2 sorption, transmission electron microscope, H2–temperature-programmed reduction, CO–temperature-programmed desorption, temperature-programmed surface reaction, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The results showed that an appropriate amount of carbon nanotubes can be attached to the surface of the SiO2 sphere and can improve the Rh dispersion. Moderate Rh-Mn interaction can be obtained by doping with the appropriate amount of carbon nanotubes, which promotes the formation of strongly adsorbed CO and facilitates the progress of CO insertion, resulting in the increase in the selectivity of C2+ oxygenate synthesis.

Three 2D coordination polymers, [Cu2(µ4-dpa)(bipy)2(H2O)]n∙6nH2O (1), [Mn2(µ6-dpa)(bipy)2]n (2), and [Zn2(µ4-dpa)(bipy)2(H2O)2]n·2nH2O (3), were prepared by a hydrothermal method using metal(II) chloride salts, 3-(2′,4′-dicarboxylphenoxy)phthalic acid (H4dpa) as a linker, as well as 2,2′-bipyridine (bipy) as a crystallization mediator. Compounds 1–3 were obtained as crystalline solids and fully characterized. The structures of 1–3 were established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, revealing 2D metal-organic networks of sql, 3,6L66, and hcb topological types. Thermal stability and catalytic behavior of 1–3 were also studied. In particular, zinc(II) coordination polymer 3 functions as a highly active and recoverable heterogeneous catalyst in the mild cyanosilylation of benzaldehydes with trimethylsilyl cyanide to give cyanohydrin derivatives. The influence of various parameters was investigated, including a time of reaction, a loading of catalyst and its recycling, an effect of solvent type, and a substrate scope. As a result, up to 93% product yields were attained in a catalyst recoverable and reusable system when exploring 4-nitrobenzaldehyde as a model substrate. This study contributes to widening the types of multifunctional polycarboxylic acid linkers for the design of novel coordination polymers with notable applications in heterogeneous catalysis.

The success of restorative surgical treatment of periodontal inflammatory diseases is largely determined by the processes of reparative regeneration of bone tissue of the patient. Analysis of the causes of unsuccessful treatment of such patients suggests that the ways of overcoming them consist both in improving the technology of the surgical intervention itself and in creating optimal conditions for regeneration of bone tissue. One of the most promising directions for correcting the regeneration process is the transplantation of stem cells of various origin. Using the method of directed regeneration of bone tissue of the alveolar process with the addition of autologous stem cells in periodontal surgery in the treatment of generalized periodontitis II and III degree of severity will not only eliminate the inflammatory process, but also anatomically restore the structural components of the periodontal, in particular, the alveolar bone. The purpose of the study was to compare the osteogenic properties of bone marrow and adipose tissue cells. A complex of experimental and clinical research has been carried out. In experimental studies on the effects of rabbit's autologous cells derived from bone marrow and adipose tissue, rabbits-male Chinchilla breeds of 1 year old were used to heal the pustular defects of the alveolar process; the animals were divided into 8 ordinal groups. Under thiopental anesthesia a defect of bone tissue was created at a depth of the cortical plate in the size of 0.027 cm3, which was filled as follows: a defect under the cluster; Defect and Collapan L; defect, 100000 units bone marrow stem cells, Collapan L.; defect, 500000 units Stem cells of adipose tissue, Collapan L, defect, 1 million units. CCMC, Collapan L.; defect, 100000 units SCJT, Collapan L.; defect, 500000 units SCJT, Collapan L.; defect, 1 million units. SCJT, Collapan L., after which the wound was sutured. Animals were brought out from the experiment by air embolism for 42 or 90 days. In the initial survey, the average indexes of periodontal disease in patients of both groups were equal. Radiologically, in patients of the experimental group, an increase in the height of interalveolar septal walls was determined at 1-1.5 mm, in comparison with preoperative orthopantomograms. There was an increase in the density of the spongy bone of the interdental partitions, an increase in its X-ray contrast. The use of autologous stem cells at the surgical stage of complex treatment of periodontal diseases has evident advantages over the traditional surgical methods of treating these diseases, since restoration of the periodontal structure is restored, periodontal pockets are eliminated, long remission is established, which is confirmed by the improvement of the level of oral hygiene, the normalization of the index assessment of the periodontal condition, processes of bone tissue regeneration. Thus, we have proved that the use of autologous stem cells at the surgical stage of complex treatment of periodontal diseases has evident advantages over traditional surgical methods of treatment of these diseases, since restoration of periodontal structure is restored, periodontal pockets are eliminated, long-term remission is established. Аs a result of the evaluation of the dynamics regeneration of bone defects of the mandible in case of the introduction of stem cells with Collapan into the defect zone, we found that the course was most favorable for the administration of bone tissue stem cells comparing to the introduction of adipose tissue stem cells.

Abstract In this work, we propose an accreting stellar binary model for understanding the active periodic fast radio bursts (FRBs). The system consists of a stellar compact object (CO) and a donor star (DS) companion in an eccentric orbit, where the DS fills its own Roche lobe near the periastron. The CO accretes the material from the DS and then drives relativistic magnetic blobs. The interaction between the magnetic blobs and the stellar wind of the DS produces a pair of shocks. We find that both the reverse shock and the forward shock are likely to produce FRBs via the synchrotron maser mechanism. We show that this system can in principle sufficiently produce highly active FRBs with a long lifetime, and also can naturally explain the periodicity and the duty cycle of the activity that appeared in FRBs 180916 and 121102. The radio nebula excited by the long-term injection of magnetic blobs into the surrounding environment may account for the associated persistent radio source. In addiction, we discuss the possible multiwavelength counterparts of FRB 180916 in the context of this model. Finally, we encourage the search for FRBs in ultraluminous X-ray sources.

Dental diseases in dogs and cats are of increasing importance in veterinary practice. If not diagnosed and treated on time, they can significantly affect the quality of life and pet health as well. Roentgenography of orofacial system, as a part of veterinary dentistry, is an important diagnostic tool that provides insight into diseases and irregularities of the teeth, shows macrostructure of bone parts, and also may indicate the etiology and genesis of various pathological conditions of the teeth. The objective of this paper is to point out to most common pathologies which small animal veterinary dentistry daily meets, as well as to foster the systematic development in this area in order to find more quality to both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
