Currently, for the effective development of any company, modern information technologies and information systems are used, including for making up-to-date decisions on the management of processes and personnel. In the context of the digitalization of the economy, special attention is paid to the business processes of interaction with clients of companies whose main goal is to increase the client base. In modern economic conditions, small business in Russia is developing steadily. Particularly relevant is the use of modern information technologies, which contribute to increasing the company's competitiveness, making new economic decisions, forming relevant strategies for the production and sale of products, goods, services, and building and retaining a customer base. To improve interaction with customers and the development of small businesses, the use of simulation modeling of queuing systems is of particular importance. In this study, used the GPSS World Student modeling environment, which allowed us to analyze the queuing system using the example of a grocery store. Computational experiments using the prepared simulation model have shown the direction of optimizing the number of points of payment for purchases when interacting with customers. Also, a preliminary forecast of the economic efficiency of the company with a different amount of used cash registers was carried out.

The paper discusses the need for accelerated implementation of NBIC-technologies (according to the first letters of their names: nanotechnology, biological, information, and cognitive technologies) in domestic production at the stage of its transition to the digital economy. The problem of forming a system for generating and implementing innovative knowledge is considered. The key role of information technologies (business processes reengineering, simulation modeling, decision support systems, etc.) in its solution is shown. The importance of training personnel of a new formation, capable of using the achievements of NBIC-technologies in the interests of modern production, is noted.

Smart City initiatives across the globe have spurred increasing demand for high-skilled workers. The digital transformation, one of the main building blocks of the Smart City movement, is calling for a workforce prepared to develop novel business processes. Problem-solving, critical and analytical thinking are now the essential skills being looked at by employees. The development of the so-called STEM curriculum, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics is being given a lot of attention by educational boards in response to preparing young generations for the Smart City work market. Based on the IMD Smart City Index, PISA, and World Bank reports, we develop a model for assessing the impact of the IT secondary school capacities on Smart-City business developments. The model reveals the relationship between the technological capacity of the secondary-school, and the business activity of a Smart City. Moreover, the study shows the existence of a positive relationship between the IT capacity of secondary schools and the resulting entrepreneurial activity of the city. Our results are of interest to decision-makers and stakeholders responsible for designing educational policies and agents involved in the digital transformation and development of Smart Cities initiatives.

The article discusses the priorities of the development of modern tourism activities, which are important in a crisis. Tourism activities in the concept of sustainable development greatly contribute to the recovery and development of the economy. Tourism is currently going through difficult times caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has negatively affected all areas of activity, with a particular impact on tourism activities. The impossibility of free movement, the closure of borders, social distance, a high level of morbidity – all this and much more contributed to a sharp decline in tourist activity. Tourism is a system with many parameters that are testing for weaknesses now. Nevertheless, the crisis served as an impetus for the development of alternative forms of tourism, including virtual tourism, photo tourism, ecological tourism, etc. tourism, support of ecological tourism at the state level. Tourism virtualization, the development of artificial intelligence, digitalization are other forms of satisfying aesthetic needs in beauty based on the rapid introduction of modern information technologies into the tourism sector. Today, domestic tourism is one of the priority areas of tourism. Free access to information determines the development of virtualization of the tourist market, which, in turn, contributes to the introduction of new forms of management. The effective development of tourism requires good natural and climatic conditions. In the conditions of the lockdown, it became possible for the natural environment to recover naturally in the absence of anthropogenic loads, including tourist ones. It should be assumed that after overcoming the crisis and restoring the usual interaction between countries, those participants in the tourism market who will be able to competently dispose of the advantages that they have acquired in information technologies introduced into tourism activities will gain competitive advantages. The practical value of the article lies in defining the main directions in crisis conditions, as well as in recommending the continuation of the use of the acquired skills and the development of modern information technologies that will serve the development of the tourism industry after overcoming the crisis.

Library specialists (digital intermediaries, collaborators, researchers, data steward) with competence in the field of modern information technologies should be able to analyze and synthesize heterogeneous information, to process data and to solve non-standard tasks. These skills will help to con-tribute to the effective development of libraries and increase their importance and competitiveness in information space

The article analyzes the essence of entrepreneurial processes at the regional and national levels, as well as entrepreneurial activity as a sphere of realization of economic motivation; recommendations on the improvement of the motivational mechanism of entrepreneurial activity in Ukraine are given on the example of the foreign experience. Within the framework of the article, an attempt is made to systematically comprehend the general laws of the development of entrepreneurship in a post-industrial economy and to analyze problems that related to the integration of the regional business environment into national business processes and seek ways to their solutions. The subject of research is the trends of development of regional business based on study of Ukrainian national traditions and international experience. The goal is to determinate the place and role of regional business in the national system of entrepreneurship as an actual mechanism for supporting the Ukrainian economy and its structural layers. The objective is to analyze the mistakes of an entrepreneur in the implementation of their projects and enterprises, as well as to solve problems that impede the development of business processes in the national economy. General scientific methods are used, such as: method of vertical comparisons – giving the opportunity to study the structure of phenomena and processes and trends in their change; grouping method – assumes the division of the studied set of objects into qualitatively homogeneous groups according to the corresponding characteristics; linear method – implies that the optimal variant is selected from a significant number of alternative options. The following results were obtained: the real motives of entrepreneurial activity are studied; the exceptional importance of creating new business technologies is determined; the state strategy of entrepreneurship development are obtained. Conclusions: one of the main tasks of small business support system in developed countries is to represent and protect the interests and needs of small businesses at various levels. The purpose of the research is to substantiate the prospects for the use of software engineering methods in the development of projects of hotel and restaurant business, as well as to demonstrate the capabilities of modern information technology in the design of large hotel businesses. Research methodology. The method of system analysis, structural modeling, as well as CASE-tools of software engineering, in particular the line of CASE-tools BPwin, AllFusion Process Modeler 7, erwin Data Modeler (Erwin user community 2021), which allows automatically building an IDEF0 model of any complexity, are used. The novelty of the research and the practical significance of the obtained results is the possibilities’ demonstration of software engineering methods during the business projects development in the field of services. Conclusions. Innovations are a decisive factor in determining new management technologies in the hotel and restaurant and tourism business. The development of modern information technologies greatly simplifies the stage of designing business processes through a hierarchical representation of objects in the subject area in the form of graphical structures. This makes it possible to provide group work on the creation of the model with the direct involvement of all analysts and specialists involved in the creation of the project. There are a large number of software products that allow you to automate the construction of graphical models. Today their application in the sphere of services is actual. The article gives an example of using CASE-technology to create a functional model of a modern hotel.
