Tourism development is one of the priority directions of the Georgian economy, since this sector significantly ensures the socio-economic growth of the country, hence, raising the level of living of the population. Therefore, in the modern stage, it is vitally necessary to implement state policy in the country, which will facilitate solving problems in the field of tourism and sustainable development of the sector. These are the issues discussed in the work – “Georgian Tourism Industry – Specifications of Development, Problems, Prospective”. The article notes that despite the many political and socio-economic problems accumulated in the country, travelers and tourists flows intensively, which is a positive result of the development of the sector. However, unfortunately, the negative impact of humanity on the nature is strengthened, which is evident in most types of tourism. The article indicates the possibility of avoiding negative ecological processes with reasonable management of anthropogenic negative impact. These requirements are most fully answered by ecological tourism - controlled form of the natural tourism. The research proves that the mass scale of tourism causes not only a negative ecological impact on nature, in addition, it can not answer the challenges facing the country - the sustainable development of the country and the increase in income from tourism, increasing the importance of the sector. As a result of the survey, it is confirmed that for the substantial increase of income received from the tourism service of Georgia is necessary to change the structure of the visitors arriving in the country; In particular, to increase the number of tourists with high paying potential at the expense of decreasing share of mass tourists. To do this, it is necessary to develop and implement such activities, which will make Georgia's natural and cultural resources as world-class tourist products and creates the possibility of making unique impressions. It will facilitate attracting high-paying contingent from EU countries, North America and Asia. The number of tourists with such potential would reduce the risk factors associated with environment and finances and ensure the increase of the state treasury, as well as ensured the socio-economic development of the country and the importance of the sector. The complex of the event is proposed the practical implementation of which promotes tourism business development to improve macroeconomic, institutional, social and legal environment; The necessity of development of tourism business development strategy and action plan is proven. Sustainable development of the Stebnyk Mining Industrial Area (MIA) is fully consistent with the goal of the National Program for the Development of the Mineral Resources of Ukraine until 2030. It is the ensuring the urgent needs for mineral resources without the risk of depriving future generations of their needs (On Approval of the National Program…, 2011). The triune concept of sustainable development is based on the economic, environmental and social components. For practical implementation of the sustainable development strategy of Stebnyk MIA, it is expedient to design, create and operate the Stebnyk natural and man-made geopark based on the blighty (Zinko, Shevchuk, 2011; Mokryi et al., 2017) and European (Alexandrowicz., 2006) experience. Expert assessments of the environment indicate the need to use information and analytical technologies in the management, modeling, and design of environmental safety Stebnyk MIA.

Abstract. The history ofthe relationship between man and nature, since time immemorial, sets the scene for studying issues related to sustainable development. Concepts of «carrying capacity» and «ecological impact» are not new, as is illustrated by the example of the use of water resources in Ancient Greece. The Mediterranean region is particularly sensitive to such problems, and the protection of the Mediterranean sea was one of the first results to emerge from the Stockholm Conference in 1972. The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), born after the Conference, gave birth to the Mediterranean Action Plan, leading to the Barcelona Convention linking together twenty coastal states, as well as the European Union. In this framework, the Blue Plan was set up and designed to study the impacts on the environment of development and population growth. Several possible scenarios were set up, providing background material for the Earth Summit in Rio. The period between 1990 – 1995 saw the newly set up Mediterranean Commission dealing with issues relating to water (management, pollution), tourism (colonisation of natural sites, pressure on the environment) and sustainable management of coastal regions. Other points were also raised recently, such as sustainable urban development. However, this institutionalisation of environmental problems that happen at both the national and international levels, should not lead to a compromise Statement achieving nothing concrete. Indeed, the maintenance of environmental achievements and the definition of new concepts should allow sustainable development to move forward.

Sustainable development has become one of the strategic issues in the tourism industry. Sustainability is an action that combines environmental, sociocultural, and economic concepts. The tourism industry has had good benefits on economic and social growth. Still, if it is not adequately planned and managed, it can have harmful consequences on the environment. This research aims to present a sustainable development strategy for Palu Bay Marine Tourism following a natural disaster. The A'WOT hybrid method (AHP-SWOT) was used to achieve the research objectives. The A'WOT method is a combination of a SWOT analysis and the AHP method. This research was done on Palu Bay tourism, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. This research resulted in a sustainable development strategy for Palu Bay tourism related to the diversity of products and improvement of event management, an improved image of Palu Bay tourism, improvement in the visitor management system to minimize environmental impacts, and efficient and effective promotion and branding.   Received: 14 October 2021 / Accepted: 29 November 2021 / Published: 3 January 2022

The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Report (2007) concluded that the globally averaged net effect of human activities since 1750 has been one of the sources of global warming. The Stern Report (2007) corroborates this statement and states that anthropogenic CO2 influences the climate and stresses that the cost of mitigating against climate change is significantly lower than the cost of climate change. The Tata group companies have been actively seeking out experiences of other global companies to develop an effective action plan against climate change. The present paper seeks to review the role of the Tata group in addressing and abating the climate change. It further looks at the various Tata group companies like Tata Chemicals Limited, Tata Steel Europe, Tata Communications and Tata Motors and their ways to stay the course towards sustainable development

Water sector is crucial to sustainable development. It sustains the natural resources, livelihood of the people and facilitates to operate economic activities of the country. Currently, the water sector of Bangladesh is under severe threats particularly due to impacts of climate change. The Fourth Assessment Report of International Panel on climate change confirms that the water sector will be one of the most vulnerable sectors to climate change. Climate change impacts are being manifested in the form of extreme climatic events and sea-level rise followed by salinity intrusion into the groundwater and wetlands. The Government of Bangladesh has formulated policies to address the climate-induced water vulnerabilities. However, the existing policies are heavily leaned towards strategising adaptation options to address short-run climate-induced water vulnerabilities. Implementation of long-term approaches to combating climate change require laying groundwork which include extensive research on determining the future impacts of climate change on water resources. The article aims to assess some of the major policies, including National Water Policy, Bangladesh Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan, National Strategy for Water Sanitation and Hygiene, The National Sustainable Development Strategy, National Adaptation Programme of Action and Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100, through the lens of climate change to determine that up to what extent these policies have addressed the climate-induced water vulnerabilities. The article has recommended to emphasise on conducting a comprehensive research with proper institutional setup on the long-run impacts of climate change on water resources and undertake subsequent water adaptation strategies to address the water-related problems.

Abstract Today, road transport is the fastest-growing segment of the freight transport in Poland. Due to its dynamic development in the 90's and low barriers to entry of new transport companies the importance of this segment still growing. Low transport rates, the ability to reach every place, as well as high flexibility and reliability of supplies carried are the main advantages of this kind of transport. However, besides the advantages, road transport has disadvantages as well, and the biggest drawback of this type of transport is its negative impact on the environment through the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere. In addition, road transport is characterized by high land consumption and noise. This causes that the road transport sector is one of the sectors where actions from the field of sustainable development [1] are performed. This is due to the fact that currently the sustainability issues are very important and the present generation is aware that today's action will affect the quality of life for future generations. Therefore, road transport companies introduce measures to eliminate their negative impact on the environment or on social environment. This article describes the actions aimed at the practical implementation of the concept of sustainable development, conducted by the chosen transport companies.
