This study are focused in : (1) how the context of the Online teaching learning process program on Covid-19 outbreak. (2) how the input of the Online teaching learning process program on Covid-19 to the success program, (3) how far the challenge and the opportunities of the Online teaching learning process program on Covid-19 pandemic. The objects of this study were: the English teacher in government’ schools and private school of junior high school and senior high school, and the students. The data were obtained from interview, classroom observation, and document analysis. Those data were analyzed by using Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP) Model by Kellaghan and Stufflebeam (2003). The findings revealed some facts. First, in the context evaluation, it can be concluded that the online teaching and learning program are relevant and formulated in order to meet the students’ needs on this pandemic. Second, in term of input evaluation, the teacher did not fulfill the requirements of a qualified teacher yet. Therefore, this pandemic has become a challenge for educators especially for English teachers and students in higher education level. It impacted classrooms to be hardly. Here, the researcher advice the government to conduct a training and workshop in order to improve the quality and the professionalism.

This study deals with developing the writing paragraph through quickwriting for junior high school at smp swasta pahlawan nasional. The objectives of this study were to find out to improve the students’ ability in writing paragraph of grade VIII students by using quickwriting strategy. Data data of the research was taken from the secondary grade of Junior High School Students at SMP Swasta Pahlawan Nasional Medan, which is taken from one class, contain 33 student. The data in this research collected by using interview and questionnaire. The interview and questionnaire will be given to collect the students’ need, problem and interesting in learning English, particularly in writing and using quick writing in teaching and learning.  In the teaching-learning process the teacher should prepare before conducting the lesson. The first is classroom procedures in teaching-learning process. Classroom procedures used by English teacher are opening, quickwriting, main activities (exploration-elaboration-confirmation), closing. There are some problems faced in the teaching-learning process. The problems faced are problem in developing idea, organizing idea, difficulties in vocabulary, tenses, and grammar, different capability of the students, and limited time. The consequently, the teacher should give solutions to cope the problems faced in teaching-learning process. So, the teacher should be creative to minimize the problem faced in teaching-learning process in order to make the students enjoy with the materials and develop student’s ability. Keywords : writing paragraph, quickwriting

School committees are formed as advisory bodies (Advisory Agency) and also as supporting (supporting agencies) as well as controlling (controlling agency) in the context of educational transparency, as well as mediators between the government (executive) and the community in the education unit. Based on empirical data, the school committee of Junior High School 3 Sigli has not shown an optimal contribution in the administration of education, especially in the teaching and learning process. School committees contribute more dominantly when there is education assistance provided by the government. The purpose of this research is to analyze the contribution of the school committee as an educational consideration body, as an educational support body and to analyze the contribution of the school committee as an education control body at Junior High School 3 Sigli. The approach used in this research is qualitative, while data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, focus group discussion (FGD) and documentation. The results showed that the contribution of the school committee as an educational consideration body at the Junior High School 3 Sigli had not gone perfectly, both with regard to planners, executors and managers. While the contribution of the school committee with regard to supporting bodies as government partners has also not gone well, because what is highlighted by the school committee is only when there is financial assistance. While the contribution of the school committee as a partner with the community and also a partner with the school is quite good, so is the contribution of the school committee as an education control body. The conclusion of the study shows that the contribution of Junior High School 3 Sigli committee can improve the quality of education, although it is related to the educational consideration body its contribution is not yet perfect, but with the contribution of the school committee as a support body and education control body, it has a positive impact on the smooth and comfortable teaching and learning process.

Curriculum 2013 has been implemented by many schools, including a junior high school at Kediri. English teachers, who implement it, must have sufficient knowledge on what to teach, how to teach, and how to assess students’ competence, etc. The idea of implementing this curriculum is that graduates of school levels are able to compete with the graduates from other countries. Students should have communicative competence in English which covers four language skills. Therefore, this research aims at answering the question: “How is the implementation of teaching English based on Curriculum 2013 applied by an English teacher of junior high school at Kediri?” The subject of this research is an English teacher of junior high school at Kediri. It is a qualitative research which focused on the material development, teaching steps, and classroom management. The data was found from observation during teaching and learning process, interview the teacher, and documentation. The result showed that in teaching English the teacher developed the materials by modifying and extending the tasks based on the Richard and Harmer’s theory. Then, in delivering the materials, the teacher tried to implement the scientific approach, although the application was different from the concept from the scientific approach proposed by the government. Furthermore, the teacher also managed the classroom well by applying group works, and setting the comfortable condition in the class during teaching and learning process.   Key words: teaching English, Curriculum 2013, materials development, teaching steps, classroom management.

The application of Curriculum 2013 influenced teaching learning process in schools. Some hours of technology and English subjects in junior high school are decreased. The materials from English book that provided by the government especially for reading are too simple. It needs supplement materials to support the students’ ability in English. The researcher does 4 steps to product the supplement materials, they are: Need Analysis, Identifying the Syllabus, Developing the Material, Expert’ Reviews and Product Try-out. The supplement product aboard with the following criteria: (1) the content is relevant with Curriculum 2013 and students’ level; (2) the procedure in operating is easier for the students; (3) the exercises and feedbacks are clear and relevant with the content; (4) The design is attractive and interesting; (5) the materials should be practical for the students. The materials are found acceptable and appropriate for students at seven grade level as supplement materials.

In response to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, most of the higher education institutions (HEIs) across the globe have replaced conventional teaching with online teaching. However, the technological preparedness of countries of varied nature differs significantly. In this context, the purpose of the study is to answer the following research question: how are the HEIs mitigating the difficulties that have resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic to facilitate online teaching–learning process? The study is carried out based on a cross-sectional study from 281 academic professionals who are employed in HEIs in India and Ethiopia. The findings from this comparative study highlight that digital divide and lack of institutional preparedness are found to be major problems that constrained the effective implementation of online teaching/learning. Besides, this study also found that training programmes for the faculty members to utilize web resources and facilitate online teaching were found to be limited in both the countries. The article concludes by offering suggestions and policy advice to minimize the digital divide and for successful implementation of online teaching in HEIs.

Teachers are facilitators that assist students to make the learning process easier and more comfortale. Techer question is a part of learning process. The  aim  of  this  research  is to  find out the types  of  questions  asked  by teachers  in  teaching  and  learning  process.  This  research  is  descriptive  research.  Participant of this research are two English teachers at SMP PGRI Bandung. The  data  collection  used  two  instruments  namely    audio  recording  and  note taking.  From  this  research,  researcher  found  that  open ended questions are mostly occur in the classroom beside ; yes/no questions, short answer   questions,   display   questions,   referential   questions   and   non   retrieval questions. During research, there are three kind of languages used by teachers, they are English, mixed English –Indonesian, and Indonesian.

The main purpose of teaching learning English in Junior High School to develop the students’ competence and knowledge in four language skills, Speaking, Reading, Listening and Writing. One of the difficult skills is writing. In this research are describe how are the uses, problems, and solutions of the use of Literacy Approach to Teach Writing of Descriptive Text At The Seventh Grade Students of SMPN 1 Ngebel.  Literacy approach is one of the approaches used to teach writing especially in descriptive text because Literacy approach is the ability to read and write. There are some step of teaching writing, they are planning, composing, and revising. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Participant/Informant of the research are the English teacher and the seventh grade students of SMPN I Ngebel Ponorogo. This research uses purposive sampling technique. The techniques which are used to collect the data are observation, interview, and documentation. Techniques of the data analysis are data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions. The result of the analyzing data indicates that the uses of literacy approach in teaching writing of descriptive text are divided into two steps. The first is preparation steps and the second is learning process. The learning process uses literacy approach includes introduce and giving explanation the descriptive text, give the modal of the descriptive text and have text to analyze, make group work to discussion the students’ ideas, give the chance to make students’ own product and also checking the students’ understanding about the material. Besides, the problem of the use literacy approach in writing of descriptive text are sometimes the students are noisy in the classroom and their vocabulary are still low. The students feel afraid to deliver their opinion and ideas in teaching and learning process. The solution of the use literacy approach in writing of descriptive are the students must make group work of the students’ worksheet, Teacher controls the students and gives scores for students.

Abstract There are still a few handouts created by the teachers. In fact, teachers feel lazy to make a handout to succeed their teaching and learning process, especially civic teachers who are still low in understanding how to make and design their own handout. A handout is an instrument that teachers supposed to writing it. By writing a handout, teacher can explore his material based on the problems faced in the class. That is way; the Team thought that we need to give them something to train them in writing their own teaching handout. This community service was given to civic teachers of senior high school who has the important role in tranfering knowledge about civic subject. This activity had some sessions, there were; lecturing, discussion, questions answer and feedback. It hopes that by understanding the way in designing a teaching handout, they will be encouraged to make their own handout to support their teaching learning process in the classroom. ?é?á Key words : a teaching handout, a civic subject ?é?á

The process of teaching and learning through online or virtual mode has been gradually becoming an important part of the Indian education sector. Teachers and students in higher education have already been effectively using online education mode to optimize the learning process. Schools, too, have been using educational technologies in many ways at all levels and across all grades. But with the unexpected worldwide spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the year 2020, a sudden exponential boom has come in the online teaching set up. Until now, online teaching was assumed to be an aid to the teaching-learning transactions and was immediately adopted as the only way out, to continue with the pedagogical process in schools and colleges. This research attempts to make a comparative analysis of the changes in various aspects of online teaching before and during the COVID-19 era, including content development and delivery and type of information shared with students in private schools of NCR of India. Data collected by the investigator from school teachers about their usage of online methodologies from 2017 will be compared with school teachers’ data in August 2020, and its educational implications will be discussed.

This paper discusses about the effectiveness of the current technologies used in higher education system. It profiles the advantages of using mobile in accessing the university central system for teaching and learning. It also discusses about mobile digital book with augmentation, which can be used to improve the teaching and learning process of the different departments in the university
