A promising direction for further development of agriculture not only in Ukraine but also in the world is the introduction of innovative technologies, to which we should include the track system of agriculture. The movement of transport and energy vehicles on the aligned compacted trace of the constant technological track causes undesirable and uncharacteristic vibrations for agricultural machinery. The latter are due to the influence of the microprofile of the constant technological track, which has a significant negative impact on the degree of comfort and efficiency of the operator, operational and technological indicators, reliability and smoothness of machines. The method and results of experimental automated estimation of the microprofile of irregularities of traces of the constant technological track are presented in the article. Experimental studies of the microprofile of irregularities of the traces of the constant technological track have shown that the standard deviation of the irregularities of the profile is ± 0.84 According to their internal structure, the inequalities of the profile of traces of the constant technological track are characterized by a function that contains, along with random components, the harmonic ones, which are expressed by attenuating periodic oscillations of the normalized correlation function. The main share of variances of oscillations of the irregularities of the profile of the traces of the technological track is concentrated in the frequency range from 0… 0.3 cm − 1. The generator of formation of irregularities of a longitudinal profile of soil traces of a constant technological track are parameters of ground hooks of tires of wheels of the cars moving on it.This is confirmed by the fact that the length of the correlation of the ordinates of the irregularities of the profile of the traces of a constant technological track in the conditions of tests of the bridge agricultural tool of the new design is about 0.18 m, which corresponds to the pitch of its tires.

Smoothness of movement of agricultural units is one of the important operational indicators of their work which is estimated on influence of fluctuations (translational vertical, cross, angular longitudinal, etc.) The article presents the method and results of experimental assessment of the smoothness of the movement of the bridge agricultural unit, which moves in the footsteps of a constant technological track. Studies of the smoothness of the bridge unit showed that the graphs of normalized correlation functions of vertical oscillations of the bridge agricultural tool developed by us in its motion in the wake of a constant technological track is characterized by a function containing along with random components harmonic, which are expressed by attenuating periodic oscillations. The frequency spectrum of oscillations of the agricultural tool core is concentrated in the range from 0 to 20 s–1, which agrees with the frequency range 0…0.3 cm−1 in which the variances of oscillations of the irregularities of the profile of the traces of the technological track are concentrated. The length of the correlation connection is approximately 0.25 s, which is equal to 0.25 m at the speed of the agricultural tool within 1.0 m / s.The obtained result is explained by the fact that the main spectrum of oscillations of the profile irregularities has a periodicity that corresponds to the step of ground engagement of the tires of the wheels of the agricultural tool. The research confirmed the effectiveness of the method of estimating the intensity of vertical oscillations of an agricultural unit by a measuring and registration complex based on a tablet computer with Android operating system with built-in accelerometer sensors and Accelerometer Meter application.

Purpose This study aims to investigate how culture can either reinforce or attenuate the board efficacy (a key element of corporate governance). Design/methodology/approach The study uses the data from the World Economic Forum (2006-2014) of 69 countries. The data were restricted to 69 countries because Hofstede et al. (2010) provided cultural value data from 111 countries. However, the data from 42 countries were incomplete for Hofstede et al.’s four dimensions. Findings The study is the first to show that more religious diversity has a significant negative impact on stronger board efficacy in evaluating corporate governance practices. The results also indicate that more uncertainty avoidance in a country has a significant negative impact and corporate ethics and auditing standards have a positive impact on board efficacy. Originality/value The study extends Hofstede et al.’s (2010) cultural value by incorporating religious diversity and corporate ethics as cultural variables in explaining board efficacy in corporate governance literature. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund should focus on cultural factors while developing a single set of Corporate Governance Code worldwide.

This article examines changes in levels of confidence in unions and proposes an intra-national comparison between Quebec and the rest of Canada based on the analysis of the three most recent waves of the World Values Survey (WVS) database, of which Canada is part (i.e. 1990, 2000, 2006). After noting differences in the trends of confidence in unions in these two regions, we applied the same logistic regression model to both regions, based on the 2006 WVS wave, in order to bring out the determinants of the propensity of individuals to express confidence in unions. The results show both similarities and differences between the two regions. As for the similarities between Quebec and the rest of Canada, it should be noted that involvement in politics and the fact of being unionized had a positive effect on the respondents’ propensity to have confidence in unions whereas most of the socio-demographic variables had no significant effects. As for the differences, the fact of reporting a higher income had a significant negative impact in Quebec, but was not significant in the rest of Canada. The fact of supporting the NDP in the rest of Canada had a more structuring effect on the propensity of individuals to have confidence in unions than the fact of supporting the BQ in Quebec. Moreover, the greater the extent to which citizens in Quebec identified with left-leaning ideological positions, the more likely they were to have confidence in unions. Finally, the respondent’s level of education was not significant in the rest of Canada but, cetiris paribus, was highly significant and positively related to confidence in unions in Quebec.

Introduction. The spread of coronavirus infection has caused significant economic and social problems in the global dimension. The world economy suffered significant losses during 2020 and, according to analysts, will shrink by about 4.9% compared to 2019. Coronavirus disease has caused the most damage to the tourism, hotel and restaurant, transport sectors of the economy in almost all countries of the world, the virus has a significant impact on business activity and welfare of citizens. Given that Ukraine is a subject of world economic relations, the corona crisis has a significant negative impact on the economy of our country, causing significant imbalances in public finances, the budget crisis, leading to rising unemployment, reduced welfare. However, the corona crisis is only an indicator that has shown the true institutional capacity of public administration in Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to diagnose the fiscal policy of Ukraine, identify its strengths and weaknesses and develop effective mechanisms to overcome financial and economic imbalances caused by the “corona crisis”. Results. The article analyzes the main macroeconomic trends in Ukraine, as well as, based on forecast indicators, assesses the prospects for economic and social development in Ukraine. It was found that the domestic economy is in a significant recession and despite the projected growth of macroeconomic indicators in 2021, the economy will still be in crisis. Significant fiscal imbalances in Ukraine have been identified, it has been stated that compared to 2018–2019, the budget in Ukraine is unbalanced, and its deficit is threatening to the country's economy. From the beginning of 2020, the country's debt burden is growing and by the end of the year, its value will reach indicators that are higher than the critical values provided by the Budget Code of Ukraine. It was noted that in order to overcome the crisis, it is necessary to change the priorities in the direction of education and science development; assistance to small and medium business; to ensure transparency in the activities of state institutions; to reform the judiciary; start a real fight against corruption.

<p>The problem of air pollution is one of the most important problems faced by the world in the context of large urban agglomerations. Numerous activities are being undertaken all over the world to both counteract existing pollution and prevent the emergence of another one. Manufacturing is one of the activities that have a significant negative impact on the natural environment. Starting from the production itself, through the life of vehicles, and ending with the problems of storage and recycling of used means of transport, at every stage there are negative effects on the environment. There is no doubt that in all types of pro-ecological activities, it may be extremely important to predict the future state based on various determinants occurring in the analysed or preceding period of time. To this end, various types of mathematical and statistical tools are being used. Recently, you can also notice interest in all types of methods aided by artificial intelligence. Such methods include artificial neural networks, fuzzy logic, or evolutionary algorithms. The article presents the problems of environmental pollution as a result of the development of motorization. The main components of exhaust gases from car engines are discussed, which are particularly harmful to the natural environment. Methods for reducing the emission of pollutants emitted from internal combustion engines are described, and the monitoring of hazards related to air pollution is discussed. The possibilities of using artificial neural networks as a tool for modelling the state of air pollution have also been discussed.</p>

Research background: Coronavirus has hit universities on several levels, from interrupting teaching and returning students home and changing the form of teaching. Universities have switched to online teaching. The Universities in Prague and Prešov have agreed to use this situation to ascertain students’ views on the course of teaching during a pandemic and their opinions on the further development of tourism at home and in the world. Purpose of the article: The main purpose of the research was to examine the views of tourism students on current events in tourism from a global and local perspective and to compare the views of Czech and Slovak students. Methods: Both universities conducted an online questionnaire survey among tourism students. The questionnaire had two parts: students’ opinions on online teaching during the corona crisis and opinions on the further development of tourism in their countries and in the world after the COVID-19 pandemic. Findings & Value added: The results of the survey brought interesting findings. The COVID-19 pandemic had a negative impact on students’ lives, for example, lost their work while studying, cancel trips at home and abroad, including studies at foreign universities. Despite that, most students see their future in tourism. Students expect an increase in domestic tourism this year, a decrease in outgoing and incoming. They expect this trend in the next few years as well. Opinions on the development of tourism in the world are in line with the opinion on the development of national tourism.

Around the end of December 2019, a new beta-coronavirus from Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China began to spread rapidly. The new virus, called SARS-CoV-2, which could be transmitted through respiratory droplets, had a range of mild to severe symptoms, from simple cold in some cases to death in others. The disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 was named COVID-19 by WHO and has so far killed more people than SARS and MERS. Following the widespread global outbreak of COVID-19, with more than 132758 confirmed cases and 4955 deaths worldwide, the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic disease in January 2020. Earlier studies on viral pneumonia epidemics has shown that pregnant women are at greater risk than others. During pregnancy, the pregnant woman is more prone to infectious diseases. Research on both SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV, which are pathologically similar to SARS-CoV-2, has shown that being infected with these viruses during pregnancy increases the risk of maternal death, stillbirth, intrauterine growth retardation and, preterm delivery. With the exponential increase in cases of COVID-19 throughout the world, there is a need to understand the effects of SARS-CoV-2 on the health of pregnant women, through extrapolation of earlier studies that have been conducted on pregnant women infected with SARS-CoV, and MERS-CoV. There is an urgent need to understand the chance of vertical transmission of SARS-CoV-2 from mother to fetus and the possibility of the virus crossing the placental barrier. Additionally, since some viral diseases and antiviral drugs may have a negative impact on the mother and fetus, in which case, pregnant women need special attention for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of COVID-19.
