Nandong is a song usually sung by Padang people who come to trade to the island of Simeulue. Nandong poetry is sung in the form of rhymes and describes the story of human life, but over time, the poems conveyed by intelligent people are compiled into art called Nandong. Nandong poetry tells the story of human life and is displayed in wedding events to be entertained and give advice to those who are married. However, at this time, the preservation of Nandong culture seems to be fading due to the development of modern musical instruments so that local culture is rarely displayed. This study will describe the factors causing the loss of Nandong culture in Sambay village, West Aceh.

Introduction. Radical pessimism and militant anti-natalism of Arthur Schopenhauer and David Benathar create an optimistic philosophy of life, according to which life is not meaningless. It is given by nature in a natural way, and a person lives, studies, works, makes a career, achieves results, grows, develops. Being an active subject of his own social relations, a person does not refuse to continue the race, no matter what difficulties, misfortunes and sufferings would be experienced. Benathar convinces that all life is continuous suffering, and existence is constant dying. Therefore, it is better not to be born. Materials and Methods. As the main theoretical and methodological direction of research, the dialectical materialist and integrative approaches are used, the realization of which, in conjunction with the synergetic technique, provides a certain result: is convinced that the idea of anti-natalism is inadequate, the idea of giving up life. A systematic approach and a comprehensive assessment of the studied processes provide for the disclosure of the contradictory nature of anti-natalism. Results of the study are presented in the form of conclusions that human life is naturally given by nature itself. Instincts, needs, interests embodied in a person, stimulate to active actions, and he lives. But even if we finish off with all of humanity by agreement, then over time, according to the laws of nature and according to evolutionary theory, man will inevitably, objectively, and naturally reappear. Discussion and Conclusion. The expected effect of the idea of inevitability of rebirth can be the formation of an optimistic orientation of a significant part of the youth, the idea of continuing life and building happiness, development. As a social being, man is universal, and the awareness of this universality allows one to understand one’s purpose – continuous versatile development.

From the earliest days of the Tamil music tradition, music was considered to be a combination of vocal music, instrumental music and dance. Each of these musical genres is closely intertwined. Knowledge of one helps to know about the other. Instrumental music has been interpreted as accompaniment to solo music and dance and as a solo specialty. In Bharata's book 'Natyashasthram', musical instruments are generally divided into four categories as nerve (tata) hole (kasira) ¸ skin (avanatta) ¸ kana (kanja). In this context, it is a research paper on the history and use of the Nagaswaram and thavil instruments, which are referred to today as the Mangala Vaathyam, which the Tamils have merged with their culture.  This article also examines in detail the ideological changes that have taken place over time in the use of these two musical instruments. At the same time, the use of these instruments in the sociological context is taken into account. Finally, this article is a historical study of the lineage of musicians who have mastered these instruments.

Too often, research into the health of a particular community is brief and superficial, focusing only on what is public and leaving the private health of women and children ‘foggy’. By contrast, long-term anthropology can offer access to processes taking place within a local culture of illness. Here, an account of a community’s experience of health over the past 50 years not only outlines the key changes as seen anthropologically but also shows how even close ethnography can initially miss important data. Furthermore, the impact of a researcher – both as a guest and as a source of interference – underlines how complex fieldwork can be in reality, especially if seen through the eyes of the researcher’s hosts.

While the connections between exegesis, music, and moral formation are well known, what Augustine’s use of particular metaphors reveals about his theology that more literal renderings do not is less clear. This article explores how Augustine’s use of musical metaphors in Enarratio in Pslamum 32(2) illuminate his understanding of the relationship between grace and human virtue. After first offering a doctrinal description of the rightly ordered will and its Christological foundation, Augustine proceeds to narrate the Christian life as one of various stages of learning to sing the “new song” of Christ. He interprets references to the lyre and psaltery as figures of earthly and heavenly life, and then exegetes the psalm’s language of jubilation as laudatory praise of the ineffable God. The chief contribution of the musical metaphors here are twofold. First, they enable Augustine to display the mysterious process of the will transformed over time. Second, the musical figures help Augustine account for how a human will, encompassed in time, can align with the will of an eternal God whose will is ultimately inexpressible. Augustine’s musical exegesis is able to gesture towards the profound mystery of human life in time and its relation to an eternally un-timed God.

Islam is a universal civilization, a religion of equity not destruction. Islam encourages its followers to believe in their own abilities and not depend on what other people give while prioritizing what is beneficial for them. Islamic civilization will develop if it is able to communicate with the local culture in a selective manner and still adheres to Aswaja (Ahlus sunnah Wal Jamaah) values. If Islam blindly followed the developing culture in the society, both the local and foreign cultures, Islam would lose its identity and the Muslim community would be separated from its cultural roots. The values of Islamic civilization are: Rabbiyah value (the divine values), Insâniyah value (the human value). Wâqi'iyah value (the practical value), Wasathiyah value (the Islamic moderatation value), Tawâzun value (the equilibration value), Tsabât value (the fixity value) and Murûnah value (the flexibility value). The nobleness of Islamic values should not only be a theory, but also needs to be implemented. The deeper the implementation, the more sublime the civilization will be. Human life must be based on the belief that we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.

Communication has been a part of human life and become very important over time. In the process of communication, a lot going on information exchange. There are times when the information exchanged is important and so secret that its existence should not be known by unauthorized parties. With the development of information technology, many ways in which the confidentiality of the information that can be maintained in order not to fall into the hands of parties who are not interested. Cryptography is the study of science and art to keep a message and to improve aspects of the security of information. In addition to using cryptographic techniques, confidential information can also be done by using steganography, which in this method of information to be transmitted is inserted through a media (images, music, sound, and video). In this study, researchers designed an application by applying a combination of Least Significant Bit steganography techniques to insert messages in the media information 24 bit bitmap images and Rijndael cryptography is used to encrypt the message bitmap image so that information can be secured from the parties who are not interested.

Status updates are one of the most popular features of Facebook, but few local studies have explored the traits and motives that influence the topics that people choose to update about. As many Persib supporters, otoriously called bobotoh, socialize and spend a great deal of time in technology-mediated environments such as fan communities and social networking sites, they develop an online identity as bilingual and knowlegeable Facebook admins and readers. The article explores the notion of identity as a fluid construct that shifts over time with these bobotoh’s longterm participation in a Facebook fan page named Bobotoh ID. It demonstrates how Sundanese (local language for the people in West Java), bobotoh-ship (a distinct identity) –as points of affiliation– and technology converge to provide a context in which these bobotoh are able to develop a powerful local culture identity circulated through a technologically mediated milieu.
