Purpose. The aim of the article is to study the features of mutual influence of expenditures of the Ukrainian state budget on national defence, youth and sports on the gross domestic product of Ukraine in the conditions of aggravation of economic rivalry in the global economy. Methodology of research. The following methods are used during the research: generalization of information and literature sources – to formulate proposals on the progressive development of the Ukrainian economy and quality of its labour resources, on the cohesion of the society and its psychological and physical health through the implementation of expenditures of the Ukrainian state budget for national defence and youth and sports; regression and correlation analysis – to analyse the mutual impact of GDP and expenditures of the Ukrainian state budget on national defence, youth and sports. Findings. Methods for educating young people are proposed in order to provide an educated and physically healthy workforce for the national economy and defence and security. The influence of arms exports and military equipment on the economy of Ukraine is analysed. The need to carry out some reforms of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to increase the country's defence capability and ensure economic prosperity is substantiated. The correlation between the growth of gross domestic product and expenditures of the State Budget of Ukraine through the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which is linear, is established. Suggestions are made to reform other specific aspects of the state mechanism in order to increase the country's defence capability and ensure the following economic growth. Originality. The article provides suggestions for reforming youth policy and the national defence sphere to ensure economic growth and strengthen the country's defence capability. Correlation between the growth of gross domestic product and expenditures of the State Budget of Ukraine through the Ministry of Defence has been established (increase of expenditures on the Ministry of Defence by 1 billion hryvnias has a direct impact on GDP growth in the amount of 29.884 billion hryvnias) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (growth spending on the Ministry of Youth and Sports by UAH 1 million influences GDP growth by UAH 1.045 billion), which is close. Practical value. The article systematically investigates the legal bases of planning and formation of the defense budget of Ukraine. It is stated that the legal bases of the defense budget of Ukraine are the Constitution of Ukraine, the Budget Code of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine «On National Security of Ukraine», the Strategic Defense Bulletin of Ukraine, the National Security Strategy, the Military Doctrine of Ukraine, the laws of Ukraine on the state budget for the respective year. It is stated that at the legislative level the sources of financing of defense expenditures are fixed: funds of the state budget of Ukraine, charitable donations, income from own economic activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The mechanism and conditions for providing charitable assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine are described. The expediency of revising the Concept of economic and economic activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine approved on April 19, 1997, approved by the President. The current Concept does not meet current conditions. It needs revision, based on Ukraine’s NATO course, of military aggression, reformatting the structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It has been determined that the amount of defense expenditures as a percentage of the gross domestic product meets international standards. However, the weakness of the national economy indicates a lack of defense spending in dollar terms and in terms of one soldier. The expediency of optimizing the structure of expenditures, reorientation of creation of new administrative and economic units for project management in the sphere of defense, creation of an effective mechanism of public control over the distribution of defense expenditures is argued. Keywords: defense budget, legal framework, gross domestic product, national security, defense, budget, charitable donation, economic activity.

The paper considers models of economic growth and the possibility of modifying a suitable model to find the potential for economic growth for the economy of society. The world global economy is studied, presented in terms of societies of the world, in monetary terms and the growth potential of gross domestic product in relation to capital, labor, technological progress, population and other macroeconomic indicators that affect it. Theoretical and methodological significance lies in the description of a fundamentally new method of modeling, which can be used to assess the potential of economic development, proving the dynamics of the coefficients of elasticity of production factors, and proving the hypothesis of declining economic growth. The developed model effectively estimates the potential for economic growth for any country and can be used as a basis for forecasting indicators of potential capital intensity of production and potential gross domestic product. Regarding the practical significance of the obtained results, it should be noted that all changes and numerical values are supported by real data and are a consequence of economic, political or social phenomena in the economy of the country under consideration. In the further research it is possible to develop this model, adding to it new variables which influence economic growth, to update methodology of finding of coefficients as a result of actions of economic agents, instead of only their exogenous influence on economy. The work has three main sections. The first section contains theoretical aspects of estimating the evolutionary economy in the one-dimensional case, it describes the basic theoretical information about the Solow model and other neoclassical and endogenous models of economic growth. The second section describes the possibilities of the Solow model for estimating economic growth potential and theoretical aspects and derives the mathematical basis for estimating economic growth potential. Also in this section describes the implementation of the mathematical base. The third section comments on the results of modeling, based on which detailed conclusions are formed, which summarize the economic, mathematical, analytical and technical work. The simulation results well illustrate the degree of use of economic potential, as well as the impact of capital, technological progress, investment, natural population movement on the efficiency of the economy in terms of many countries. The developed software (as a product of the digital economy) can be used to further improve the model, taking into account more factors.

In the period 2011–2016, Vietnam’s macroeconomy had not been stable; social security had not witnessed any improvements from the previous period while the state budget was targeted at a large number of objectives such as economic growth, inflation control, assuring security, national defence and social security. During this period, the role of the State Treasury was essential in managing and monitoring cash flow, regulating state budget spending and making it effective for the economy to implement fiscal policy and macroeconomic stability as well as ensuring social security. Accordingly, given the current constraints of fiscal policy, what are the orientations for the State Treasury in performing its operational activities to stabilise the macroeconomy and ensure social security?

The analysis of current trends in ecological tourism market of Ukraine and set of recommendations for its development under the state support are carried out in the research work. In particular, the analysis of the current condition of ecological tourism in Ukraine is carried out. The essence of this analysis is to assess the impact of the following factors on the gross domestic product of Ukraine during the past three years: number of foreign tourists in Ukraine, number of tourism objects, revenues from ecological tourism to local budgets, revenues from environmental tourism to the state budget, number of jobs in the field of ecological tourism and number of domestic tourists. The given analysis showed that the gross domestic product of Ukraine is practically unaffected by the following factors: number of foreign tourists in Ukraine, revenues from ecological tourism to local budgets and revenues from ecological tourism to the state budget. The recommendations on state support of ecological tourism development in Ukraine by introducing a set of models to increase the competitiveness of Ukrainian environmental regions, taking into account the level of influence of the studied factors on the gross domestic product, are developed. The given set of models includes a functional model of the tourism competitiveness of ecological region and a structural model for assessing of tourism competitiveness of ecological region.

The benefits deriving from rapid economic growth have chiefly accrued to capital returns. Consequently, the decline in the share of Chinese gross domestic product (GDP) accounted for by labour income has been most pronounced. To sustain growth, China will have to ensure robust consumption. Increasing the labour share in GDP and hence promoting domestic consumption will play a decisive role in rebalancing China’s economy.

PurposeThis study analyzes the impacts of income inequality after direct taxation on the gross domestic product as a fiscal policy tool in the development process.Design/methodology/approachThe model of the study is based on Munielo-Gallo and Roca-Sagales (2013), which examined the fiscal policy, income inequality and economic growth simultaneously. The study uses two models to analyze the relationship between income inequality and gross domestic production under direct taxation by employing autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model for selected emerging market economies.FindingEmpirical results reveal a negative long-run relationship between variables in some countries in line with the literature, despite a positive relationship in others. Moreover, the results exhibit the negative impact of income inequality after direct taxation on the gross domestic product decreases.Originality/valueResults of the study highlight the importance of direct taxation on income inequality concerning the reflects on economic growth. It suggests that when the income distribution is fairer, it may positively affect the gross domestic product. The study provides a new perspective to the related literature by investigating the role of income inequality under direct taxation for gross domestic product.

The relevance of the study is due to the growing role of services in the world economy. Trade in services has become the dominant driver of economic growth and development in both developed and developing economies. Since the 1980s, data suggest that there is a stronger relationship between trade in services and gross domestic product (GDP) than in the case of commodity growth and GDP. It is noted that the quality of policies, regulations and institutional frameworks is a key factor in determining the effectiveness of services. As services are increasingly subject to liberalization through multilateral and regional trade agreements, it is important that countries develop harmonized approaches to internal regulation and trade liberalization in the services sector. The article identifies the features and characteristics of the service sector as a factor of multifaceted development and growth. The dynamics of international trade in services by geographical structure and types of development of countries is studied on the basis of statistical data of international organizations, taking into account the impact of the pandemic. It is noted that international trade in services is becoming an increasingly important part of global commerce. The problematic aspects of the activity of small business entities to enter foreign markets of services are considered. The issue of urgency of digital economy development for the sphere of services and contribution to world markets is outlined. Opening up the services sector has the potential to bring great benefits and deserves more attention. Further prospects for the realization of entrepreneurial potential in a comprehensive global economy are outlined. It is noted that services are an important part of the world economy, generating more than two-thirds of world gross domestic product (GDP), attracting more than three-quarters of foreign direct investment in developed economies, and creating most of new jobs worldwide. Establishing effective coordination mechanisms between trade negotiators, policymakers and regulators will be an important tool for the development of the global economy.

The proposed technology of financing enterprises and the Russian economy, harmoniously combining the interests of working citizens, owners and the state, makes it possible, at quite achievable rates of gross domestic product growth (enterprise revenue) by 3.5% per year, to ensure a 46.6% increase in wages of working citizens over 5 years, which will practically end poverty. To increase contributions to the development fund for 5 years by 25%, which the owners of enterprises and the entire workforce are interested in, since this ensures the growth of their incomes and the possibility of constant modernization and updating of technological equipment and the release of new competitive products. Increase in 5 years (despite a gradual decrease to 14.51% of contributions to the Pension Fund RF) the amount of funds received by budgets of all levels by 22%, which will allow the state to solve many social problems.
