In the current context of warfighting electronic warfare is crucial for both sides of the conflict. Donetsk and Luhansk regions have become a kind of springboard for testing and application of multifunctional electronic warfare (EW) systems and platforms. The urgency of creating multifunctional EW systems lies in the need to solve the problem of protection of troops, control points, armament and military equipment from UAV air reconnaissance, protection from weapons, as well as disorganization of enemy‟s command and control by jamming its radioelectronic means. The development and passing into service of modern highly effective multifunctional EW systems requires continuous monitoring of the current state of their development in the Armed Forces of advanced countries. Developers from around the world present multifunctional EW systems annualy. The newest means of EW of the Russian Federation are considered and their comparative analysis is carried out. Conclusions are made on the possibility of interdiction of their work in areas of operations. The directions of operational efficiency improvement of the Ukrainian EW systems are offered. The analysis of trends in the development of EW and the latest command and control systems of the world's leading countries indicates the need to review traditional approaches to EW in the armed struggle of nowdays and the future. Therefore, the problem of bringing the state and level of development of EW to the requirements of the future wars is acute for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, taking into account the asymmetric and advanced nature of EW technology development in the world. The urgency of the research lies in acquaintance with modern achievements and directions for the development of EW systems used by the enemy.

The article analyzes the peculiarities of translation of military terminology in the works of fiction because the terminology is a separate lexical category, which, despite the requirements of unambiguity, accuracy, consistency, and independence from the context, quite dynamic and actively developing. At this stage in the development of society, military terminology is constantly being added to new lexical units and is becoming more consuming. This is due to the intensification of military conflicts in the world, which are covered every day in the domestic and English language media, including in the text discourse. That is why it became necessary to study in detail the peculiarities of translation of military terms in fiction works. In particular, attention should be paid to the classification of military terminology by branches and types of armed forces, by types of military equipment, as well as to the organizational terminology, staff, military-political, command-and-control and military-topographical, based on which the appropriate methods of translation of military terms in the works of art will be presented. The complexity of translating military terms in fiction can be a phenomenon such as the ambiguity of the term. That is why for adequate translation of a term it is necessary to determine its belonging to a certain terminological system. As a result, it is certified that the term is translated by an appropriate term in another language, so such techniques as search for an analog, synonymous replacement, descriptive translation are used when there is no equivalent in the language to translate the term. At the same time, methods of translation of military terms in works of fiction, among which: transcription, transliteration, calculus, descriptive method, were considered. Besides, a transformational method of translation was considered, which includes such techniques as modulation, generalization, concretization, antonymous translation, compensation, omission, addition. To achieve adequacy and equivalence in the translation of terms in works of fiction, the translator must skillfully use all the most common methods of translation or so-called translation transformations, which are key methods for creating an adequate translation.

Povzetek V članku Slovensko vojaško letalstvo danes in čez 20 let nas avtor skozi kratko zgodovino vojaškega letalstva v Sloveniji popelje do trenutnih karakteristik slov-enskega vojaškega letalstva. Abstract This article, ‘The Characteristics of the Slovenian Armed Forces Air Force (SA-FAF) : now and 20 years in the future’, will lead us through a brief history to-wards the characteristics of today’s Slovenian Armed Forces Air Force. In addi-tion, the article will, with the help of the Slovenian security policy through the Slovenian Armed Forces, whose focus is on Battalion Battle Groups, present the future characteristics of the Slovenian Armed Force Air Force, which, besides fulfilling a supporting role, should be built on a foundation of the joint functions – command and control (C2); intelligence; fire power movement and manoeu-vres; protection; and sustainment – of joint warfare. However, the key question is: what decisions should be made and what action taken to get us from here to there? Slovenian security policy, supported by a military way of thinking, plays the key role, and is the enabler for building new future characteristics based on joint functions. Key words Slovenian Armed Forces Air Force (SAFAF), characteristics, alliance, joint func-tions

The article discusses approaches to ensure the combat work documentation on the combat means of surface-to-air missile systems (complexes) in modern conditions. It focuses attention on the main discrepancies of the existing objective control means of combat work to the requirements of time. A review of existing research and publications on objective control of combat work shows that the existing approaches are mainly focused on organizing objective control at command and control centres and do not take into account the specifics of conducting combat work on combat weapons of surface-to-air missile systems (complexes). That is why the purpose of the article was chosen to substantiate propositions for improving the objective control system of the combat work on combat weapons of surface-to-air missile systems. When developing proposals for improving the objective control system of combat work on combat means of surface-to-air missile systems (complexes), the emphasis is placed on the fact that a promising objective control system of combat work, unlike the existing one, should be based on modern element base, be unified and should record video , audio, combat and technical information circulating in the combat means of surface-to-air missile systems (complexes). The structure of this system, its elements, communication organization is proposed, the expediency of such a construction option is justified. For each element, its functional purpose is indicated and the design direction is advisable. In addition, it was proposed to use this approach in the future for samples of weapons and military equipment (radar stations, command and control stations, combat vehicles) of other troops types.

The networking approach to the World Wide Web is defined not only by the exploration of architecture, but also by the confirmed need for interrupts. Given the current status of authenticated archetypes, steganographers dubiously desire the analysis of scatter/gather I/O. the focus in this position paper is not on whether Moore's Law can be made concurrent, distributed, and pervasive, but rather on proposing an analysis of 32 bit architectures (Grange). It is concluded that, using probabilistic and interactive information and based on relational modality, the machine system and kernels are verified, which is widely used in the future.

The current COVID-19 virus has put the entire world in lockdown, creating one of the worst times of a VUCA world. The changes that are happening because of the pandemic are large scale and occur suddenly. There is a shortage of leadership everywhere. Leaders are unprepared to lead effectively. In this fast-changing and disruptive environment, command and control structures fail. Leaders are expected to act on incomplete or insufficient information. They do not know where to start to drive change as increased complexity makes it difficult. Leaders lack time to reflect and end up acting too quickly or acting too late as they get stuck in analysis paralysis. They are far removed from the source and are forced to act with a limited understanding of events and their meanings. The role and type of leadership are being tested as we are trying to come out of this crisis. Leaders cannot predict the future but need to make sense of it in order to thrive. This paper would analyse challenges that are being faced by leaders in this critical period and how these can be converted into opportunities like a vaccine for the virus.

In this chapter, the content sophistication (legislative-executive and techno-economic conception and implementation) of the R&D Law No. 5746 of Turkey is analyzed by the constructed general framework of reference for content sophistication analysis with respect to the framing principles of neo-classical (optimizing) and evolutionary (adaptive) policy making and policy implementation approaches (Metcalfe, 1995) through their distinct underlying conceptions and implementations regarding to the “nature of technology,” “using, creating, diffusing technology and knowledge,” “specificity, variety, and mode of transfer,” “externalities,” and “risk/uncertainty” (Lall & Teubal, 1998). According to the results of the analysis, it is shown that, for the time being, the R&D Law No. 5746 of Turkey exhibits features of neo-classical (optimizing) policy making frames from conception to implementation in legislative-executive and techno-economic spheres of research and technology development. In comparison to these neoclassical features, features of evolutionary (adaptive) policymaking frames in other economies around the world are exemplified separately. By concentrating on “Iter Legis”: “path that a law takes from its conception to its implementation,” this chapter aims to contribute to discussions and recommendations on “Lex Lata”: “the current law” and “de lege Ferenda”: “future law” for R&D and innovation in any country where “the future cannot be predicted, but futures can be invented” (Gabor, 1963) through legislative-executive terms of techno-economic demand and imagination.
