Rapid technological development changes the form of competition between profit-oriented companies. The presence of new methods of company management is getting more intense due to the demands of a competitive advantage with other companies. One of the areas that can create competitive advantage is the operational sector. Furthermore, Supply Chain Management has become one of the main components as a competitive strategy to develop the productivity and profitability capabilities of a company. Meanwhile, crossdocking systems have been found for a long time, but the application is often not too significant for companies and there is still room for optimization. Therefore, the researcher was interested in carrying out research related to crossdocking. In this study, the target company is PT. XYZ as a distribution center company that has problems in managing distribution costs and supplies to its partners. By implementing crossdocking, it can help companies in minimizing distribution and inventory costs. The steps in this study are determining vehicle distribution routes, calculating the number of distribution fleets, scheduling distribution fleets, calculating the total safety stock and calculating the ratio of the total cost of supplies in the current condition to the proposed conditions. The research results obtained 2 optimal distribution routes with a total distribution fleet of 2 units, divided into fleet 1 with a capacity of 800 units and fleet 2 with a capacity of 767 units. As for the scheduling results, the makespan value of each fleet is obtained, namely 240 minutes for fleet 1 and 248 minutes for fleet 2. The amount of safety stock for each type of cellphone is Y19 with 27 units of safety stock, Y12 with 102 units of safety stock, Y30 with safety stock 75 units and V19 with safety stock 54 units. The total cost of supplies is 2,989,055 rupiah in one order process.

Inventory plays an important role in the company's operational activities, it is necessary to do inventory management in order to minimize losses caused by the large inventory costs. This research is conducted at UD. Sinar Jaya, aims to determine the performance of product inventory management and whether it’s efficient or not. Research data are obtained through interviews and observations. Descriptive analysis technique is used, which describes systematically several stages starting with ABC analysis, EOQ calculation, safety stock calculation, re-order point calculation, maximum inventory calculation, inventory turnover calculation, and comparing the total inventory cost between the method applied by the company with the EOQ method. Results show that product inventory management performance is not efficient. This is indicated by the total cost of inventory incurred using the company method in 2019 amounting to IDR 43,058,137. The product inventory management system that should be carried out is to classify products with ABC analysis, then determine EOQ of 1,208 units, determine safety stock of 518 units, and determine the re-order point of 1,099 units for each classification at unit A, so that the total cost of inventory incurred is only IDR 32,716,517 or 24.02 % lower than the actual application of company methods. Keywords: ABC analysis, EOQ, inventory costs

Inventory control is an important issue which must be considered by every company. The occurrence of overstock or excess inventories led to an increase in inventory cost the same as if the stockout. PT Perkebunan Nusantara VII Distrik Banyuasin is a company engaged in agriculture and processing of agricultural products such as palm oil , tea and rubber. Products covered is controlling tea products in the warehouse because of the problems that often occur in tea products . Kinds of tea products discussed namely BOP, BOPF, PF, DUST, BP, BT, PF II, DUST II, BP II, BT II, DUST III, FANN II, DUST IV. PT Perkebunan Nusantara VII Distrik Banyuasin has re- ordering method is less precise so that the reorder point should be calculated. To determine the fluctuating demand in the next year with forecasting is carried WinQsb program based on the pattern of sales data. Pattern sales data for 33 months is a seasonal pattern . The total cost incurred by the company during this time with a reservation made is Rp 385 506 418 , - . Therefore , we need a method that can control the supply so as to meet the demand for timely and can reduce the total cost of inventory . The method used is Multi Item EOQ method that produces a total cost of inventory Rp 414 195 905 ,-. Because the total cost of inventory with EOQ method Multi Item is greater than the method used by the company that carried out the study with Lagrange method taking into account capacity constraints warehouse and inventory costs which resulted in a total cost of inventories Rp 257 524 800 ,- which is smaller than the methods of the company . With the Lagrange method can save a total inventory cost Rp 127 981 619 , - with a percentage of 33.2 % .

Sugarcane is one of the plantation crops which is used as raw material for making sugar. The efficiency of inventory is very important for a sugar factory. The purpose of this study is to determine the order level, order frequency, the amount of safety stock (Safety Stock), re-order points (sugarcane raw material) which is economical and to know the total inventory cost (Total Inventory Cost) of sugarcane raw material economical in PG X. The method of determining the area of this research was carried out intentionally (purposive). The research method uses the descriptive-analytic method. The analytical tool used is Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Re-Order Points (ROP), Safety Stock (SS), and Total Inventory Cost (TIC). The results of the 2018 and 2019 EOQ calculations show it is not yet economical. The 2018 EOQ calculation was 1.688,79 tons greater than the number of orders made by PG X by 1.483,9 tons and the 2019 EOQ calculation was 3.074 tons greater than the number of bookings made by PG X by 976,6 tons. The value of the safety stock in 2018 amounted to 1.483,9 tons and in 2019 it was 976,6 tons. The value of ROP in the supply of raw sugar cane in 2018 was 2.967,8 tons and in 2019 it was 1.953,2 tons. The 2018 TIC value is Rp. 139.031.870 smaller than the cost of inventory incurred by the company of Rp. 158.302.102 and the 2019 TIC value of Rp. 208.014.632 less than the cost of inventory incurred by the company of Rp. 654.250.185. The results of the last two years calculations indicate the inefficiency of orders made because it causes the frequency of orders is greater and the inventory costs incurred by PG X are higher., so with economic calculations, the order frequency will be less and the total cost of inventory will be lower.

Nowadays economy has developed very fast, along with the rapid development of science and technology which is increasingly modern makes the competition between companies become more intense. With the intense competition between companies encouraging each company to do a good inventory control in supporting and expediting the production activities. According to Assauri (2008:176) Inventory control is one of the activities of the activities sequence that are closely related to each other in the entire company's production operations in accordance with what has been planned both time, quantity, quality, and cost. In an effort to control inventory one of the methods that can be used is the "Economic Order Quality” (EOQ) analysis. EOQ is the most economical volume or amount of purchases to be made at each time of purchase. In addition to determining EOQ, companies also need to determine the point of order for raw materials to be used or reorder point (ROP) and determine the amount of safety stock. Data sourced from Mie Sinar Sulawesi Cap Dua Angsa Company. It can be seen the results of research conducted show that the difference in quantity and frequency of purchases that are more efficient with a total quantity of 10.910 kg in one order and frequency of 5 orders and reorder point is 2.212 kg while the amount of safety stock is 1.892 kg. By applying the EOQ method, it can make a company able to create economical inventory costs. However, before implementing this method the company must also calculate the important aspects such as capacity, warehouse, capital costs, and the risks of damage that the company must avoid.

Development in the current development sector has grown rapidly, in this development we can see a good potential to be developed, namely the development of bricks with good quality compared to using red bricks which production takes a long time. Batako is an alternative that can be used in the construction of a building, because currently the price of red brick is quite high because the production cost is quite expensive. Besides, the price of firewood used for cooking red brick is getting difficult. Meanwhile, the demand for brick gradually increased because brick was one of the main components in building construction. So it needs to be developed in making brick blocks because the time is relatively short in the drying process. Therefore the community service team made a brick making machine with a vibration system for compaction and a faster production process in brick making using a machine that has been made, so that it can increase partner income, who previously produced 120 pieces with a manual system using a machine that could produce 500 pieces of brick per day.
