The development of innovations changes the usual living environment of people, affects their standard of living and lifestyle. The purpose of the article is to identify the main factors that determine the attitude of the Russians to innovations and contribute to their spread in everyday life. Findings based on the data of sample surveys, in particular the Comprehensive survey of living conditions of the population (2016), sample Federal statistical observation on the use of information technologies and information and telecommunication networks by the population (2018), and the materials of the Russian Longitudinal Monitoring Survey (RLMS) and the authors’ research conducted in 2017 in Moscow and the Moscow region. The authors used a set of methods for statistical data analysis. The application of the classification tree method revealed the main factors that influence the use of innovative technologies in everyday practice. Factor analysis was used to determine the specifics of Internet use by the Russians. The two-step cluster analysis procedure allowed to form two typology groups (clusters) of respondents depending on their use of such innovative practice as distance financial services. A positive attitude to innovation and information and communication technologies is determined by the experience of using modern technologies in the educational process, the age and interest (readiness) of respondents to use innovations and digital technologies in everyday life. The attitude to innovation is largely determined by the psychological characteristics of the respondent, their willingness to accept innovations. Although innovative practices such as tablet use and distance financial services are widely distributed, their prevalence is determined by similar factors. At the macro level, the parameters of the image and quality of life in various types of settlements, and the involvement in modern technologies in the workplace have an impact. The social and professional status of the person plays a more crucial role than the type of economic activity.

Information and computer technologies (ICT) are one of the greatest achievements of mankind. Since the emergence of Nomo sapiens, many technologies of varying degrees of complexity have been its constant companions throughout its existence. It is largely due to the development of technology that such phenomena as civilization, science and art have emerged. Modern technologies are also fundamentally changing our lives. They affect various aspects of our being, and in many ways determine this very being. As practice shows, modern ICT play a crucial role in every sphere of modern society. Some training and development tasks can also be significantly automated thanks to modern digital technologies. It should also be noted that many complex and critical processes can be implemented less cost-effectively and with greater efficiency when using such technologies. Thanks to more advanced or applied ICTs, a person's life has changed significantly, and, it should be noted, it has changed for the better. It should also be noted that modern digital technologies have brought truly revolutionary changes to the field of education. It is difficult to overestimate the importance of implementing ICT in schools at various levels today. In fact, with the advent of digital technologies in education, it has become much easier for teachers to share knowledge and for students to acquire it. The widespread use of ICTs has made the closely interlinked processes of teaching and learning much more interesting and positive for both teachers and students.

The perception of learning and teaching in the educational universities have been affected by digital technology. With the industrial concern over sustainability of resources and efficiency in operation in a digital environment, the need arises to implement digital technologies in the educational setting so that digital competence of the future workforce can be elevated, and better industrial output-based education is provided. In this chapter, an attempt has been made to describe and discuss the current scenario of digital integration in higher educational disciplines. The issues concerning this integration include teacher inability to incorporate digital thinking into student learning, student non-adaptability to modern technologies, unreliability of digital educational resources, and lack of infrastructure/power supply in most of the educational institutes. An active digital learning approach in students and extensive training sessions for digital utilization excellence in teachers and educators are a few ways to solve issues regarding the above-mentioned integration.

Abstract Background and Aims Dialysis units face an increasing shortage in qualified healthcare professionals (HCPs). Multiple studies1,2 have suggested that staffing shortages and the clinic work environment affect both patient and organizational outcomes, resulting in higher workloads and more stressful work environments. This may lead to staff disengagement, burnout, absenteeism, voluntary turnover, reduced patient satisfaction and potentially adverse patient outcomes. Nurses have a significant role in the delivery of haemodialysis (HD) therapy for end-stage renal disease patients. While supporting patients in navigating their everyday lives, including HD therapy, nurses balance a variety of challenges related to care and coordination. This study analyses how four main categories of dialysis technologies (HD machines, digital technologies, water treatment systems, and other medical devices) can reduce the complexity in daily haemodialysis process steps, relieving nurse workload and thus freeing up more time for patient care. Method This observational study was conducted in three phases. First, we analysed the process steps in a typical working day in a haemodialysis care facility, mapping them to the best practice standards3. In a second phase, we analysed the data via a Delphi panel of 19 experts (international multidisciplinary team). The initial mapping was discussed in 10 moderated rounds (2 moderators) to quantify the process step improvements resulting from four main categories of modern HD technologies: HD machines (HDM), digital technologies (DT), water treatment systems (WT), other medical devices including motorized chairs/beds & digital weighing scales (Miscellaneous). In phase 3 an assessment was performed to determine how modern HD technologies and the combination of the four main categories (Setup B) could potentially improve daily process steps versus a conventional dialysis clinic set-up (Setup A). Results A total of 146 daily process steps were identified over the course of a single HD session. Table 1 shows, how the four main categories of dialysis technologies individually contribute to improving the number of process steps, when applying modern technologies (Setup B) versus a conventional setup (Setup A). Additional process step improvements were identified that result from the specific combinations of the four technology categories. The maximum improvement that can be achieved through a combination of all 4 categories is 95 out of 146 process steps. Overall, the biggest contributors to process step improvements were HD machines (39 steps improved) followed by digital technologies (25 steps improved). In terms of technology combinations Digital Technologies and Water Treatment Systems lead to the highest number of process step improvements. In Setup A, a total of only 10 out of 146 process steps were improved, while in Setup B 95 out of 146 process steps were improved. Hence, the net improvement achieved with Setup B vs. Setup A was 85 process steps. This equates to a 58% improvement of total number of process steps. Conclusion Our results indicate that a 58% net improvement in daily process steps could be achieved versus a conventional setup. These findings suggest that investments in modern technologies may reduce the complexity in dialysis clinics, easing stress levels, improving the overall working environment, and freeing up more time for patient care. Changes in the work environment in renal care facilities have been observed to have several beneficial effects: a higher job satisfaction, lower stress and burnout levels, reduced intention to leave and higher staff retention can be achieved1,2.
