The Right Internet Advertising Format (RIAF)

This chapter will develop a general framework to illustrate the factors, criteria, and features that are involved in determining the proper format of Internet advertising, and then compare these criteria with alternative advertising formats to provide the appropriate Internet advertising format. In sum, the present chapter classifies various possible scenarios and selects the most appropriate Internet advertisement format from each group.

Law Although EU law has established a general framework concerning the fight against discriminations on the grounds of religion (namely as far as equal treatment in employment and occupation is concerned), the related ECJ case law is not very rich. This article tracks and evaluates the impact of the ECHR case law devoted to the freedom of religion on the interpretation and application of EU law concerning religion discriminations. It argues that the ECHR case law may contribute to identify the notion of ‘religion' which is relevant for EU law, while several arguments may be put forward against the application of the Strasbourg approach to the balancing between the right to quality based on religion and others human rights into the EU legal order.

This chapter is an empirical research report describing the diffusion of mobile camera phones and picture mail services in Japan between the years 1997 and 2005, based on annual consumer surveys conducted by Ericsson Consumer & Enterprise Lab. A general framework based on sociocultural values and attitudes to telecom for describing the telecom market from a consumer perspective is presented. This framework is then used to put different consumer life stage segments in relation to each other in respect to product diffusion. The change over time of attitudes and behavior is described, and the conclusion is drawn that the product terminology spontaneously created by consumers themselves in order to relate to the product is an important step for mass market diffusion. Furthermore, the group of people who develop this terminology becomes a crucial catalyst for diffusion—and in the Japanese case presented here consists of female students.

Population ageing is a phenomenon that is quite new and irreversible in the history of mankind. Every country and every organisation is concerned while it is not certain that all the risks and challenges have been clearly identified. Clearly, there is a risk of massive knowledge loss, i.e., “Knowledge Crash”, due to massive retirements, but not exclusively for this reason. This risk is not evaluated at the right level, and in this regard, this article, by including the problem of “Knowledge Crash” in the more general framework of “Knowledge Management”, enlarges the concepts of knowledge, generation, and knowledge transfer. The author proposes a global approach, starting from a strategic analysis of a knowledge capital and ending in the implementation of socio-technical devices for inter-generational knowledge transfer.

The biopsychosocial model, which was deeply influential on psychiatry following its introduction by George L. Engel in 1977, has recently made a comeback. Derek Bolton and Grant Gillett have argued that Engel’s original formulation offered a promising general framework for thinking about health and disease, but that this promise requires new empirical and philosophical tools in order to be realized. In particular, Bolton and Gillett offer an original analysis of the ontological relations between Engel’s biological, social, and psychological levels of analysis. I argue that Bolton and Gillett’s updated model, while providing an intriguing new metaphysical framework for medicine, cannot resolve some of the most vexing problems facing psychiatry, which have to do with how to prioritize different sorts of research. These problems are fundamentally ethical, rather than ontological. Without the right prudential motivation, in other words, the unification of psychiatry under a single conceptual framework seems doubtful, no matter how compelling the model. An updated biopsychosocial model should include explicit normative commitments about the aims of medicine that can give guidance about the sorts of causal connections to be prioritized as research and clinical targets.

Although limited in size to 468 by 60 pixel, banner ads are the main form of advertising on the web and today’s scenario it is one of the most prolific form of marketing used in online world. All companies use them in one form or another because they are an affordable, measurable and effective medium to increase Brand awareness and Brand equity. The web is a colorful place, and there is a lot that can be accomplished by using color in the right way, at the right time, with the right audience, and for the right purpose. Therefore it turns out that color is one of the most exciting things in the world.

This chapter discusses the general framework of the law of self-defence. The scope of the right of self-defence is the subject of the most fundamental disagreement between states and between writers. Some of the divisions over the scope of the right of self-defence, especially as to whether anticipatory self-defence against an imminent armed attack and the protection of nationals abroad are lawful, date back to the creation of the United Nations. Other divisions centre on the right to use force in self-defence in response to colonial occupation, to terrorist attacks, and to other attacks by non-state actors. This chapter also discusses the special regime of collective self-defence.

The global COVID-19 pandemic has put everyone in an urgent need of accessing and comprehending health information online. Meanwhile, there has been vast amount of information/misinformation/disinformation generated over the Internet, particularly social media platforms, resulting in an infodemic. This public health crisis of COVID-19 pandemic has put each individual and the entire society in a test: what is the level of eHealth literacy is needed to seek accurate health information from online resources and to combat infodemic during a pandemic? This article aims to summarize the significances and challenges of improving eHealth literacy in both communicable (e.g., COVID-19) and non-communicable diseases [e.g., cancer, Alzheimer's disease, and cardiovascular diseases (CVDs)]. Also, this article will make our recommendations of a general framework of AI-based approaches to improving eHealth literacy and combating infodemic, including AI-augmented lifelong learning, AI-assisted translation, simplification, and summarization, and AI-based content filtering. This general framework of AI-based approaches to improving eHealth literacy and combating infodemic has the general advantage of matching the right online health information to the right people.

E-commerce has taken up an increasing share of market relations in recent years. The use of online marketing tools allows us to reach the right end consumer. In the present report we shall study part of them and more specifically those used in communication policy. The main aim of this work is to analyze the interaction between internet marketing and e-commerce on the end consumer of goods and services. The research methods used are: theoretical and empirical methods, such as analysis, synthesis, comparison, etc. The results achieved are related to the analysis of establishing an internet shop or a website where the producer and the consumer of the good or the service meet. The conclusion generalizes on the use of social media, e-mail marketing, VibeMarket, online display ads as the main channels for internet advertising - a means through which the consumer may widen their selection options and receive detailed information about the saught product or service. Internet advertising brings benefits for advertisers because it needs a lower budget and is flexible when directed to a specific target group.

This study was designed to provide some insights into how Iranian marketers can find the right format of Internet advertising. Recent negative trends in Internet advertising, such as “banner blindness” and extremely low click-through rates, make it imperative to study various factors affecting the right format of Internet advertising. Therefore, this study builds a comprehensive theoretical model explaining how marketers are able to find the right format of Internet advertising. Accordingly, seven latent variables related to the right format of Internet advertising were examined: objective ad features, subjective ad features, product type, user types, ad types, advertising strategy, and ICT condition. It was found that these constructs successfully explain how marketers can find the right format of Internet advertising. Product involvement is found to be the most significant antecedent explaining the right format of Internet advertising.
