Agricultural education is significant aspects as agriculture is the driving force of economy of the country. Published literature on agricultural education impact and challenges is scant. Hence, through a mixed methods technique, this chapter is formulated to bridge the literature gap and persuade others to carry on research. Grey literature and primary data collected through interviews was utilized to formulate this chapter. Collected data was qualitative in nature and through content analysis, a meaningful interpretation was created. Agricultural universities, training institutes and the Department of Extension are major pillars for agricultural education of students and the farming masses. Different case studies are quoted inside the chapter to reflect trends, impacts and challenges. This chapter summarized that the quality of agricultural education across the country is poor and quantity-oriented. For quality assurance we would have to shift our priorities and develop holistic approaches to bring improved quality, particularly in agricultural institutions.

Background: The implementation of housing with support is rapidly expanding, particularly as life expectancy is increasing throughout the world. This expansion is likely to intensify in the context of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), which has revealed the risks of relying primarily on nursing homes. This mixed-methods systematic review aims to: 1) explore older people’s perceptions and experiences of housing with support and 2) examine the impact of providing housing with support for older people on their quality of life. Methods: The databases Ovid Medline, Ovid Social Policy & Practice, EBSCO CINAHL, and EBSCO SOCIndex will be searched, and grey literature will also be identified. Quality assessment will be carried out using Joanna Briggs Institute’s Critical Appraisal Checklist for Qualitative Research as well as a tool from the National Institutes of Health for observational cohort studies. This review will employ convergent parallel design; as such, qualitative and quantitative findings will be synthesised separately in the initial stage of analysis. The results from the qualitative and quantitative syntheses will then be integrated in the final stage of the analysis. Conclusion: This systematic review will synthesise the evidence regarding older people’s perceptions and experiences of housing with support and the impact of providing housing with support for older people on their quality of life.

Competitive Intelligence (CI) improves the quality of product and service, decision-making and it improves quality of life. However, it has been established that decision makers are not happy about the quality of CI. This is because enterprises fail in quality assurance of CI. It has been concluded that most enterprises are clueless concerning CI quality assurance. Studies that previously attempted to resolve CI quality problem were limited in scope and focused too much on the quality of information than the overall CI quality. The purpose of this study is to propose a conceptual CI quality assurance model which will help in quality assurance of CI. The research was qualitative in nature and used content analysis.

Abstract This chapter focuses on the quality of higher agricultural education as a means of transforming learning and knowledge outcomes, measured in terms of graduates, research products and outreach activities. Learning outcomes include students' competencies - i.e. knowledge, skills and attitudes - and the degree to which they are relevant to workplace needs. Knowledge outcomes take the form of ideas, analyses, inventions and publications; they can be measured based on the extent to which they address current and emerging problems of economic and social importance. The chapter begins by defining key terms and explaining how quality assurance fits within the management and operation of universities. The chapter then explores the role of organizations, networks, associations, activities and initiatives in developing and implementing sound quality-assurance practices across institutional, national, regional and pan-African levels.

To evaluate the digital platforms most used by adolescents for healthy lifestyle information, perceived helpfulness of platform information, helpfulness for positive behaviour changes, and quality of platforms’ lifestyle health information. Mixed-methods study including a cross-sectional online survey and content analysis. Eligible participants were 13–18-years; living in Australia; and had searched online for healthy lifestyle behaviour (nutrition, physical activity, weight management, sleep) information in the previous three months. Survey items examined the use of digital platforms, self-perceived helpfulness, usefulness for positive behaviour, and popular content. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics and ordinal logistic regression models. Content analysis was performed on popular digital content to evaluate expertise, objectivity, transparency, popularity, and relevance. In total, 297 participants completed the survey (62.3% female; 15.8 [SD1.5] years). Seventy-eight percent and 77% of participants reported using websites and social media, respectively, for seeking healthy lifestyle information. Websites and social media were rated as somewhat helpful by 43% and 46% of participants, respectively. Sixty-six percent and 53% of participants agreed/strongly agreed smartphone apps and social media were helpful for positive behaviour change, respectively. Helpfulness did not differ by age or gender. We evaluated 582 popular digital content; 38% were produced by a commercial company. Only 7% of content was from health organisations, 10% from health professionals and only 10% of content was objective, and 14% was transparent. Adolescents extensively utilise websites and social media for health information, yet popular content has limited objectivity and transparency. Governments and health organisations should consider creating age-appropriate digital information for healthy lifestyle behaviours.

The obligation to pay income zakat has a significant effect on increasing the total collection of income zakat in Kelantan. Income zakat here refers to zakat that is liable on earnings that include emoluments and other forms of income. The Kelantan Islamic Religion and Malay Customs Council (MAIK) made this mandatory in Kelantan on 16 March 1999. The creation of this fatwa (religious decree) had inadvertently affected the increase in total collection of income zakat in Kelantan. For example, from 2001 to 2013, the percentage of zakat collected had increased to 18.55%, from 5.98%. The question is, what are the factors that influence the compliance by the muzakki to pay income zakat at MAIK? This qualitative study used primary and secondary data. The primary data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to respondents, whereas the secondary data was obtained from previous studies and literature reviews related to the compliance to pay income zakat. All the data were analysed using the content analysis method. Lastly, this study found that the factors that influenced the muzakki compliance to pay income zakat at MAIK were factors such as the level of satisfaction, needs of the state, attitude towards the state, facilities, confidence and quality of service.

Mere mentioning of poetics often ignites the memory of Aristotle whose admiration is hinged on the elegance and clarity of his style in poetics. Tis is as a result of the historic influence of poetics or aesthetics as well as the quality of its thought. Tus, poetics is not devoid of philosophical nuances. Based on this premise, an attempt is made here to explore the poetic strands in Obasa’s trilogy, wherein Yorubá proverbs are strung together. The paper, therefore, considers aesthetic category of artistic mimesis, intertextuality and components of all diction alongside stylistic elements because the principal task of poetics is to measure its legitimate domain in language. Tus, it is averred that literature depends on linguistic structure for its existence since language is the substance of literature (in our own instance, poetry). The essay adopts an eclectic theoretical approach since Obasa’s craftsmanship and subject-matter span an avalanche of forms and structures imbued with stylistic features. Primary data are largely drawn from his anthologies which facilitate the content analysis. In its findings, the paper has brought to the fore the fact that Obasa employed adaptation and mimesis in his presentation creatively, ̣ while different stylistic elements in his trilogy are replete with deviation. An attempt is made to bring into bold relief the suggestion that metaphor forms the hub of all other tropes that give grandeur to poetics in Obasa.

ABSTRACT   Banana fruit is a commodity that contributes a great value to both national and international fruit production achievement. The government through the National Standardization Agency establishes standards to maintain the quality of bananas. The purpose of this Project is to classify the stages of maturity of Ambon banana base on the color index using Naïve Bayes method in accordance with the regulations of SNI 7422:2009. Naive Bayes is used as a method in the classification process by comparing the probability values generated from the variable value of each model to determine the stage of Ambon banana maturity. The data used is the primary data image of 105 pieces of Ambon banana. By using 3 models which consists of different variables obtained the same greatest average accuracy by using the 2nd model which has 9 variable values (r, g, b, v, * a, * b, entropy, energy, and homogeneity) and the 3rd model has 7 variable values (r, g, b, v , * a, entropy and homogeneity) that is 90.48%.   Keywords: banana maturity, classification, image processing     ABSTRAK   Buah pisang merupakan komoditas yang memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap angka produksi buah nasional maupun internasional.
