As organisations need diverse and high quality IS/IT services to survive and excel in the rapidly changing business environment (Lacity & Willcocks, 2001), regular attempts have been made by organisations to sustain competitiveness through increasing their investments in IS/IT operations and resources. However, this has pushed for pursuing different options and alternatives as organisations strive to maximise their flexibility and control (Lacity, Willcocks, & Feeny, 1996). To accomplish this objective, more and more organisations are constantly looking to IS/IT outsourcing by external vendors as a viable option rather than pursuing in-house IT developments (Lacity & Willcocks).

Information Technology (IT) outsourcing is a set of IT services that require providers to manage a long relationship with multiple services that have a high degree of variance between clients. IT outsourcing operational contexts display multi-input and multi-output variables, so managers need guidance on developing suitable approaches in order to identify the set of variables to analyse. This work proposes a model based on Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), which is a linear programming technique able to manipulate multiple inputs and outputs. DEA allows the identification of the most efficient operation, which in turn enables providers to set the best operational strategy to follow. The results demonstrate the importance of quantitative measures in a dynamic business environment like IT outsourcing. To develop the authors' research, design science research was applied, and eighteen IT outsourcing contracts were used to demonstrate their model's utility. This work is a major contribution for measuring efficiency in IT outsourcing operations.

This article foregrounds the voice of an IT professional who is directly employed by a large British company and who, along with colleagues, is experiencing career uncertainty resulting from a management initiative to replace the established workforce with an alternative labour supply provided by a global IT services company. As an account that reflects the uncertainty of the age, the narrative offers insights into current discussions concerning the contemporary nature and experience of work generally. More specifically it tells of a loss of confidence and status of technical professionals as they are methodically undermined by the confident assertion of a ‘shareholder value’ rhetoric. The suggestion is made that the application of commercial–professional rationality to the outsourcing of IT operations may underestimate the commercial risks associated with the loss of embodied technical knowledge gained across time as IT systems evolve to become complex constructions.

This paper explores the comparative analysis of the financial controlling, who is a result from the common controlling concept and the financial management. In the specialized literature, financial controlling is seen as an innovative approach to financial management. It is often presented as the most promising instrument of financial diagnostics. Generally speaking, financial controlling is seen as a process of managing the company`s assets which are valued in monetary measures. The difference between the financial management and the financial controlling is that the second covers all functions of management, analysis and control of finances, aiming at maximizing their effective use and increasing the value of the enterprise. Financial controlling is often seen as a function of the common practice of financial management. Its objective is to preserve the financial stability and financial sustainability of enterprises operating in a highly aggressive business environment.

Calcium silicate masonry production requires a great deal of planning and control due to the fact that subprocesses vary in terms of process technology and time. To overcome this complexity, a simulation-based optimization approach is applied. As a short runtime that allows the method to be used operationally and yet still offers a high quality of solution is crucial, a decomposition approach is implemented on the basis of a previous study and its suitability is validated by means of test runs.

ABSTRACTThe use of natural substances for pest control in agriculture is, economically, a viable option and has benefits for both the humanbeing and the environment, due to its low persistence and toxicity. Thus, this trial aimed on determining the insecticidal potential of the extracts and essential oils of fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Mill.), anise (Pimpinella anisum L.) and clove (Caryophillus aromaticus L.) to control Brevicoryne brassicae L. in kale (Brassica oleracea var. acephala DC.). The treatments were: fennel, anise, cloves extracts at 10%; fennel, anise, cloves oils at 1% and control with distilled water. The mortality tests were carried out with aphids in laboratory, with three replications, after 1, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours. During laboratory trials , it was found out that fennel oil at 1% showed the best rate of mortality on aphid nymphs (70% at 72 h), followed by clove extract at 10% with 37% mortality. Tests in pots were only carried out only with cloves extracts at 10% and fennel oil at 1% treatment, in which such efficiency was alsoindicated on aphid nymphs.

When organizing training in computer networks on real equipment, educational institutions face organizational, technical and material difficulties. Using network modeling, the above difficulties can be avoided in teaching future informatics teachers about computer networks. The aim of the research was to prove the effectiveness of teaching future informatics teachers to computer networks based on network modeling. The method of theoretical analysis is carried out in order to comprehensively study the state of the problem under consideration. A pedagogical experiment has been conducted for evaluating the efficiency of teaching computer networks based on modeling. The study has been organized in experimental and control groups. Mathematical statistics were used for the analysis. In the course of the study, it was found that the development and implementation of the proposed teaching methodology provides an opportunity for full and high-quality training of future informatics teachers in the field of computer networks, which allows them to solve professional problems in the design, maintenance, configuration and administration of computer networks. Keywords: programming environment; informatics teacher; network technologies; teaching methods; informatization.

Under the current situation of prevention and control Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19), the development of fitness industry in Liuzhou is analyzed, and the survival environment, management, coaches' quality and reasons for the closure of the club are analyzed. The results show that Liuzhou fitness market is greatly affected by the economic and social environment, and the seemingly prosperous fitness market has met with bottlenecks, and its operation is in danger. Taking “Internet+” as a new power engine, we should build a service platform of Liuzhou fitness alliance, strengthen the supply side reform such as management and coach quality, increase effective supply of high quality, and guide clubs to play their own advantages to develop differentiated competition, which is an effective way to promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional fitness industry.

Inventories are main resources of the trading company. Analysis, accounting and control of inventories determines the management effectiveness of commercial enterprises processes. It is necessary to accelerate the turnover of commodity resources in order to increase the profits of a trading company. Successful turnover of commodity resources can be determined with the help of high-quality operational management accounting information, which is the basis for analysis, decision-making and further control of the trading company. Obtaining management information achieved with establishment of an effective accounting policy, which is the direct responsibility of the company's management. The interdependence of the accounting policy type, quality management accounting, operational analysis and clear control over inventories at the trade enterprise determines the effectiveness of enterprise management and profit in the long-term perspective.
