Business tourism is type of tourism that involves work rather than enjoyment. It is becoming the most income-generating part of tourism. Business tourism has different types that are meetings, incentives, convention, and exhibition (MICE); congress tourism; event tourism; sport tourism; and business agencies. Meetings, incentives, convention, and exhibition is a detailed and comprehensive type of business tourism. The incentive traveling is that of business tourism that is offered by the company to their employees. Exhibitions are those types of traveling that are organized to introduced new products, services, and information to the business tourists. Convention consists of the congresses and conferences. Congresses are the larger-scale business meetings, and conferences are the smaller-scale business meetings while complexes are the combination of small exhibitions and conferences. There is a need to understand that leisure tourism is different from business tourism.

Sport tourism is one of the fastest growing market segments in the tourism industry and is receiving increased attention for its social, environmental, and economic impacts upon destinations. Prior research in tourism impacts has tended to focus exclusively on tourism as a whole and does not differentiate among the different types of tourism that may be present in a destination. The purpose of this study was to examine how residents of Indianapolis, Indiana perceived the impacts sport tourism has upon their city. A total of 347 surveys were returned in a mailed questionnaire. Exploratory factor analysis revealed a four factor structure of social benefits, environmental benefits, economic benefits, and general negative impacts. Social and economic benefits were strong predictors for support for further sport tourism development revealing a strong identification with the advantages of sport tourism in their city such as an increased cultural identity and social interaction opportunities.

The practice of active and qualified tourism in national parks in Poland and Slovakia has longstanding traditions. Primarily, these parks have been a place of individual recreational activity, as well as a place to educate and convene with nature. Recently, sport tourism, which is characterized by the participation of tourists in mass organized sporting events mainly of a competitive nature, has been gaining more popularity. Even though this activity takes place in protected areas, sports are the main priority, rather than educational goals. Natural values have the primary function of enriching emotional experiences, and exploring wildlife is not an end in itself. Running events are now at the head of the list as the most popular sporting events in Poland and in Slovakia. The authors of the article focused on protected areas in Poland and Slovakia, largely because these countries were considering organizing one of the world’s biggest sports events together: The Winter Olympic Games (2022). The purpose of the study was to recognize the attitude of Polish and Slovak national park authorities toward the organization of mass sports events in protected areas. A diagnostic survey was conducted using the method of interviews with the directors of Polish and Slovak national parks. The research results shed light on the current state of development of sports event tourism in protected areas in the two countries. The article examines the response of Polish and Slovak park authorities to the changes of the current era of shifting societal needs regarding physical development, in particular with regard to the sustainability of protected areas. Currently, there is a lack of a strategic approach toward the development of sports tourism in national parks in Poland and Slovakia. The answers given in the interviews create an image that indicates a differentiated approach to the issue of permitting the organization of sports events in the areas of national parks. It turns out that the practice in these areas is different in individual parks. The diagnosis presented in the article indicates that it is necessary to undertake interdisciplinary and international research among environmentalists, economists, sociologists, anthropologists, and physical culture specialists in order to develop methods for measuring the impact of sporting events organized in natural areas in this part of Europe.

Universities and other institutions of higher learning have seen an increase in the number of academic programs that involve engagement with external communities, especially in the developing world. These programs may include travel abroad, community service, or the design and commercialization of new products. Despite this growth, many faculty and program leaders remain unaware of the legal concerns and challenges that might arise on these types of activities. This article informs faculty on the legal nuances relevant to different types of academic engagement programs. Representative examples of each type of program are used to illustrate legal concerns that may arise, and compromise academic engagement programs.

Applying the correlation and regression analysis, the study of the relationship between the volume and structure of innovation costs and the volume of sold innovative products (SIP) in industry was carried out on the example of Ukraine. The time lag of the costs-of-sales impact was also considered. It was hypothesized that the total volume of sold innovative products and their structure (the share of new products for the market, the share of products sold abroad) depend on different types of investment in innovation. The correlation and regression analysis showed that the components of investment in innovation influenced differently the volume and structure of SIP, which confirmed the hypothesis. The total amount of SIP largely depends on the level of costs to purchase machinery, equipment and software, as well as costs related to the component "Other". Positive dynamics of sold innovative products that are new to the market, as well as the products sold abroad, is largely determined by the volume of expenditures on external scientific research. Thus, by influencing the structure of investment in innovation, a company can significantly increase the level of its competitiveness.

The paper analyses the contribution of different types of innovative entrepreneurship: new products entrepreneurship, new technology development entrepreneurship, high growth expectation entrepreneurship and average growth expectation entrepreneurship to economic growth in emerging markets. The aim of paper is to identify types of innovative entrepreneurship which have the greatest contribution to economic growth in emerging markets and propose measures that macroeconomic policy makers could implement to achieve sustainable economic growth. The regression analysis is performed in order to estimate the impact of different types of innovative entrepreneurship on economic growth in 13 emerging markets. The results have shown that a high growth expectation entrepreneurship has the greatest influence on economic growth. Also, results have shown that impact of new products entrepreneurship is bigger than impact of technology development entrepreneurship on economic growth in emerging markets.

The sport of climbing has seen a tremendous increase in popularity over the last 20 years. The sport tourism potential of climbing is clearly evident in the different types and guises that the sport entails. This is enhanced by the outdoor setting of the sport often in outstanding scenery and beauty. However the rapid increase in the number of indoor climbing walls has also created a new type of visitor predominantly in an urban setting. The differing climbing types and competitions lend it particularly to a classification based on the motivation of the consumer. This paper assesses the sport tourism potential of climbing in general applying the Robinson and Gammon (2004) conceptual framework.

Involving customers in the development of new products and services helps firms understand customer needs, increasing the likelihood of meeting those needs and expectations. Although a large body of literature addresses the implications of customer involvement for project performance, the results of previous research are somewhat inconsistent. This paper explores this issue by examining the differing impact of customer involvement on the development of new products and new services. We propose that the role of customer involvement differs for these two types of innovations, with involvement in the early stages more important for products and involvement in the launch stage more important for services. Our results, based on a comprehensive dataset on customer involvement in innovation, are consistent with such a pattern, suggesting that more attention should be paid to the conditional benefits of customer involvement in different types of solution development.

The silicon or silicon dioxide (SIO2) it's a natural compost that is the most used as the percursorof new materials. With a high level of crystallinity, it can be very usefull inside the elaboration of new products. As a finite product, there is a need to comply the demands in altenate ways. The current work comes up with an ash characterization that is provided from the sugar cane bagasse ash and the production of a material that presents an higher level of crystallinity. The characterization was maide thrugh the diffraction of an X-Ray after samples being submits inside different acid treatments and calcination. The diffractograms analyses demonstrate that it was possible to achieve the Alpha-Quatrz that presents an higher crystallinity with a comparison to the samples that were not receveing the treatment, proving this way, that thermal and acid treatments were effective. Beyond, the material obtains the utilization on different types of following up.
