In the field of the technology intensive die and mould industry, technological capacity is the significant factor related to die and mould enterprises’ competition level. Industrial cluster development of die and mould industry has contributed various changes to die and mould enterprises’ innovative technology development, including diversity of technology transfer type, increased success rate of technology transfer, etc. This paper deeply analyzes these changes’ impacts on die and mould technology transfer, and demonstrates that die and mould enterprises can effectively develop technology transfer in the industrial cluster environment.

The high innovation potential of the Russian military-industrial complex can become a source of technology for the civilian industry. In the context of the diversification of the military-industrial complex, the development of an effective technology transfer can become one of the key elements in building a competitive Russian economy. The article contains a diagram of the mechanism for the innovative technology development and transfer between the military and civilian sectors. On the basis of this method, it is possible to build effective schemes for technology transfer and exchange and joint work of the military and civilian industries. The emergence of a technology broker, as an intermediary between the military-industrial and civilian complexes, will accelerate the development of active information and scientific exchange between these sectors, will make it possible to bring technologies to its implementation faster, and industries become more knowledge-intensive. Integration of the military and civilian sectors will help to reduce the technological gap within the country, lagging behind the world level.

The industrial cluster is formed by the common competitiveness elements of enterprise group. Under the cluster environment, common technology and common customer as well as distribution channel are composition of cluster development performance mode. On the basis of the parabolic PDE cluster development model, and combined with Internet industrial cluster analysis of virtual platform, the Internet structure industrial cluster analysis system is designed. In order to verify the validity and reliability of the model and system, this paper takes the cluster development of machining as an example to carry on the research for the system performance, which can get the virtual grid node and stress distribution of cluster processing center, finally we can obtain the industrial cluster investment and performance relationship table, to provide the theoretical guidance for the development of industrial clusters.

Although much attention has been given in the USA, in major studies and at federal government level, to the critical importance of technology in economic development, there remains a weak link in the chain of technology development – the translation of basic research into commercially successful technology. Against this background, Alistair Brett sets out the strategy of Virginia, focusing on the activities of the Center for Innovative Technology and Technology Development Centers, which conduct research jointly funded by industry and the state. He also refers to specific activities and experiences at Virginia Tech. Dr Brett ends the article with a review of the overall situation in the USA and lists practical lessons learned from US experience. He stresses, finally, the importance of the exchange of experiences and ideas among practitioners of technology transfer in the USA, Europe and Japan.

The exploitation of Arctic resources is becoming now one of the most important directions of Russia’s strategic development. The coordination center for this project is St. Petersburg. The article assesses the potential of this region which forms an essential prerequisite for the effective implementation of the given work from the standpoint of the state and prospects of industrial clusters formed in its territory. The subjects of the cluster environment of St. Petersburg relevant programs of state support are divided into three categories: 2 innovative territorial clusters, 3 territorial clusters, 9 territorial clusters administered by the Center for cluster development. Specific recommendations for them are proposed on the basis of analysis of their strengths and weaknesses, as well as assessment of opportunities and threats to their development.

Renewed interest in pressure gain combustion applied as a replacement of conventional combustors within gas turbine engines creates the potential for greatly increased capability engines in the marine power market segment. A limited analysis has been conducted to estimate the degree of improvements possible in engine thermal efficiency and specific work for a type of wave rotor device utilizing these principles. The analysis considers a realistic level of component losses. The features of this innovative technology are compared with those of more common incremental improvement types of technology for the purpose of assessing potentials for initial market entry within the marine gas turbine market. Both recuperation and non-recuperation cycles are analyzed. Specific fuel consumption improvements in excess of 35% over those of a Brayton cycle are indicated. The technology exhibits the greatest percentage potential in improving efficiency for engines utilizing relatively low or moderate mechanical compression pressure ratios. Specific work increases are indicated to be of an equally dramatic magnitude. The advantages of the pressure gain combustion approach are reviewed as well as its technology development status.

Background: Currently, the issue of the company’s innovative development is relevant in all areas of activity. Automobile industry, which has one of the development vectors such as an innovative component, poses for itself the task of achieving high competitiveness through active innovative learnings and technology transfer. This direction is influenced by technological factors, which should be taken into account while developing and implementing the company's innovative technology transfer strategy. Automobile industry in Thailand appears to be a successful story as it plays an important role in the national economy and becomes a car-manufacturing hub of Southeast Asia as called “Detroit of Southeast Asia”. Thailand is a world-class vehicle production base such as Ford, Toyota and Nissan. However, the growth of industry depends on the performance of MNCs, which remains unclear whether Thai automobile industry could sustain the same position with its own technology capability alone. Aim: This paper aims to develop the suggesting on the technology learning transfer of automobile industry in Thailand based on Korea’s experience. I analyze the evolution of the automobile industry of Thailand and South Korea to identify the key drivers of auto industry’s development through learning from macro level to the firm level of the two countries. Objective: The study aims at investigating technological factors which influence innovative learning development of transport company and evaluating their interdependence using correlation-regression analysis. Methods: The correlation-regression analysis and comparative approach were used to develop the model. Results: Two automobile corporations from Asian region were investigated. Technological factors influencing learning development of these corporations were found; significant in explaining the factors’ interdependence was discussed. Conclusion: Different groups of technological factors influence on innovative learning development of automobile companies in Asia. These findings can be used as information for managers to develop strategic programs to improve knowledge transferring process in Asian automobile companies.
