For the application advantages of electromagnetic actuator in anti-submarine weapon, this paper studied two kinds of electromagnetic actuator system and their work modes. It described the working principle, configuration and structure of two systems. It analyzed the electromagnetic properties of electromagnetic actuator and selected the material. When the rudder was the electromagnetic actuator of excitation mode, it possessed many characteristics of small volume, simple structure and good control. The study provided a new scheme of the rudder for small anti-submarine weapon.

AbstractThe small volume of sample and fast response time are the primary features of micro fluidic system. It is essential for expensive samples. Microvalve is a key to regulate the flow movement component in an integrated microfluidic system. The working principle of conventional microvalves relies on its mechanical or electromagnetic properties. These valves are neither biocompatible nor are suitable for bioassays. Stimuli-response hydrogels whose properties of efficient mode of energy conversion (chemical to mechanical), excellent biocompatibility and the combination of multiple function (sensing and actuation) have become the leading candidate as engineered microscale components. In this paper, we study the feasibility of thermo-sensitive hydrogel as a valve on the microchip. A metal resistor was used as the temperature regulator. The results show that the miniaturization fabrication of the hydrogel depends on many factors like the volume of the hydrogel (the size of the valve), the vacuum condition (the evaporation rate) and the deposition substrate. The degree of swelling and deswelling of the hydrogel valve depends on the size of the hydrogel. This micro fluidic system is regulated by temperature change of the aqueous solution. The integration with other fluidic component is crucial for practical application.

Electromagnetic actuator systems composed of an induction servo motor (ISM) drive system and a rice milling machine system have widely been used in agricultural applications. In order to achieve a finer control performance, a witty control system using a revised recurrent Jacobi polynomial neural network (RRJPNN) control and two remunerated controls with an altered bat search algorithm (ABSA) method is proposed to control electromagnetic actuator systems. The witty control system with finer learning capability can fulfill the RRJPNN control, which involves an attunement law, two remunerated controls, which have two evaluation laws, and a dominator control. Based on the Lyapunov stability principle, the attunement law in the RRJPNN control and two evaluation laws in the two remunerated controls are derived. Moreover, the ABSA method can acquire the adjustable learning rates to quicken convergence of weights. Finally, the proposed control method exhibits a finer control performance that is confirmed by experimental results.

Heavy truck cab manual oil pump consumes more time and strength. Using tilting motor can produce larger tilting force for reversing the heavy truck cab and improve the tilting efficiency. The power of tilting motor, permanent magnet, armature plate and winding parameters are optimized on the basis of analyzing the cab tilting system works and the characteristics of the permanent magnet DC motor. The designed Nb-Fe-B PM DC motor is small volume, light weight high efficiency, simple structure and reliable operation characteristics, which can improve the security of tilting device of the heavy truck cab.

This paper introduces the working principle and structure of direct digital frequency synthesizer. This paper select the technology of lookup table to design DDS because it has many advantages such as less consumption hardware resources, simple structure, output only small delay and so on. As a result, signal generator can produce many waveforms with good stability and high frequency resolution. Finally, test showed that the output wave of triangular signal frequency is greater than 1MHz and the highest sine wave frequency is 30MHz, the value of peak to peak is continuously adjustable in 50mV ~ 4V range. The result of study will provide theoretical guidance for the design of DDS.

SIROX is a new heating and humidifying technology to substitute HT. It changes the heating insufficient and humidifying poor uniformity of tunnel HT. It uses locking air means in feeding and the steam is supplied through the rotary joint to the turning bars with steam orifice. So that the material will uniformly warm and humidify better and overcome the shortcomings of HT’s. SIROX has simple structure, low maintenance costs, easy to clean. This paper analyzes the composition and working principle of several heating and humidifying devices and their respective advantages and disadvantages, provides a reference for the heating and humidifying technology.

An actuator system with multidegree-of-freedom (MDOF) motion and complicated action has recently attracted interest in the field of robotic technology. The present paper proposes a novel rotor-embeddedtype MDOF spherical ultrasonic motor (SUSM). The MDOF SUSM consists of a spherical rotor and a stator vibrator with an all-in-one structure. The spherical rotor is embedded in the center of an almost annular stator vibrator with a spherical inner surface, and a motor shaft is mounted on the rotor. The stator vibrator with piezoceramic disks and plates adhering to the surfaces of the vibrator can excite five vibration modes independently and simultaneously. The spherical rotor rotates around three axes by combining two of the five vibration modes. The present paper describes the basic construction and the operating principle of the rotor-embedded-type MDOF SUSM, modal analysis results for the stator vibrator, and experimental results based on trial manufacture. The proposedMDOF SUSM confirmed the operating principle of design has a simple structure and is compact and lightweight, so a large torque-to-weight ratio is expected to be realized.

Solid and liquid lenses are commonly used in optical design. Such lenses have suitable thicknesses due to their working principle and processing mode. Thus, zoom optical systems comprising solid and liquid lenses are extremely large. This work presents a new ultrathin tunable lens (UTL) comprising two liquid film lenses (LFLs) obtained through aspheric deformation and produced from the surface of a micro-liquid under gravity and boundary tension. The UTL can flexibly change focal lengths between positive and negative lenses when the device thickness is merely 2.15 mm. The proposed lens has the advantages of small volume, light weight, simple fabrication, and independence from external force during zooming. This research makes up for the drawback that traditional solid and liquid lenses cannot further reduce their thicknesses. The proposed UTL provides a new lens form and fabrication method, and can be used to replace solid and liquid lenses for designing miniature zoom optical systems.

Rope-less hoist system driven by permanent magnet linear synchronous motor has the advantages of simple structure, small volume, high force, unlimited hoisting height and speed. So, it is attracting more attention, increasingly becoming a research hot and difficult in the vertical hoist field. In this paper, a design scheme of direct driving high-speed elevator is proposed according to the key technical problems of rope-less hoist system driven by PMLSM, and then a small-sized home elevator prototype is built. Experimental results show the safe and stable operation performance of the experimental device, which offers the reference for the further research and the development and application of PMLSM rope-less hoist system.

Abstract The design and working principle of a miniature reciprocating compressor driven by an electrostatic comb drive is presented and its basic parameters are discussed. The compressor, which is 6 mm in diameter and less than 0.5 mm in thickness, has a simple structure consisting of a compressor chamber, a corrugation diaphragm driven by a vertical comb-drive, and two active micro-valves. Using air as working medium, the simple mechanical system enables a compression ratio of 1.5. With a working voltage of 320V, the device gives flow rates of 2.7 ml/ min. The three-dimensional flow field in the chamber is also simulated using a commercial computational fluid dynamics software.

There was a new down-hole BOP that was designed to control blowout effectively in exploiting petroleum gas. The BOP was a new blowout preventer with a good development prospect which can not only automatically shut underground, but also control and automatically discharge shut up-hole state on the ground. Through introducing structure and working principle of the BOP, as well as the finite element analysis of some key components, there has been showed that the down-hole blowout preventer met the strength requirements and had relatively high security. The down-hole blowout preventer with a simple structure can not only work reliably but also complete the act of preventing blowout and unlocking many times to prevent blowout effectively and to improve drilling operations safety and efficiency. It will have a bright development prospect.
