The passive direction finding cross localization has got great achievement and has been widely used in military and civilian fields. Currently, the researches on passive localization have focused on AOA, TDOA and FDOA. In our system, the passive direction finding cross localization is more effective and useful. We use two UAVs to locate a single source. We apply the geometric method to analysis positioning accuracy. In order to study the performance of a passive direction finding cross localization, MATLAB is used to simulate the result. Finally, the simulation results and performance analysis provide operational technical principle for such a system.

The effect of wind disturbances on the stability of six-rotor unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) was investigated, exploring the various disturbances in different directions. The simulation model-based Euler–Poincare equation was established to investigate the spectra of Lyapunov exponents. Next, the value of the Lyapunov exponents was used to evaluate the stability of the systems. The results obtained show that the various speeds of rotors are optimized to keep up the stability after disturbances. In addition, the flight experiment with the hitting gust has been carried out to verify the validity and accuracy of the simulation results.

In order to facilitate system design and performance analysis, a virtual prototype for metro train electropneumatic brakes is proposed. A virtual braking environment that consists of a three-car train model and six electropneumatic brakes model is elaborated. The virtual braking environment can be used to research the relation between braking response and electropneumatic brake’s parameters and to simulate axle loading transfer. By comparing the simulation results with bench test data, the electropneumatic brake model is proven to be quite accurate. Based on the proposed virtual prototype, a test train brake is designed, and a couple of field tests are carried out. The average deceleration of electropneumatic compound service brake at the initial speed of 45 km/h is 0.83 m/s2, the braking distance is 94 m, and that of pure air service brake at the speed of 43 km/h is 0.64 m/s2, the braking distance is 111 m. The field test results satisfy the test train requirements, which further proves the effectiveness of the proposed virtual prototype.

Combined geometric positioning using images with different resolutions and imaging sensors is being increasingly widely utilized in practical engineering applications. In this work, we attempt to perform the combined geometric positioning and performance analysis of multi-resolution optical images from satellite and aerial platforms based on weighted rational function model (RFM) bundle adjustment without using ground control points (GCPs). Firstly, we introduced an integrated image matching method combining least squares and phase correlation. Next, for bundle adjustment, a combined model of the geometric positioning based on weighted RFM bundle adjustment was derived, and a method for weight determination was given to make the weights of all image points variable. Finally, we conducted experiments using a case study in Shanghai with ZiYuan-3 (ZY-3) satellite imagery, GeoEye-1 satellite imagery, and Digital Mapping Camera (DMC) aerial imagery to validate the effectiveness of the proposed weighted method, and to investigate the positioning accuracy by using different combination scenarios of multi-resolution heterogeneous images. The experimental results indicate that the proposed weighted method is effective, and the positioning accuracy of different combination scenarios can give a good reference for the combined geometric positioning of multi-stereo heterogeneous images in future practical engineering applications.

Large navigation and atmospheric uncertainties have historically driven the need for a mid-lift-to-drag L/D vehicle with L/D of 0.6--0.8 for aerocapture at Neptune. Most planetary entry vehicles flown to date are low-L/D blunt-body aeroshells with L/D less than 0.4. The lack of a heritage mid-L/D aeroshell presents a major hurdle for Neptune aerocapture, as the development a new entry vehicle incurs significant time and investment. Techniques which may allow Neptune aerocapture to be feasible using heritage low-L/D blunt-body aeroshells are investigated that obviate the need for mid-L/D aeroshells. A navigation study is performed to quantify the delivery errors, and a new guidance algorithm with onboard density estimation is developed to accommodate large atmospheric uncertainties. Monte Carlo simulation results indicate that the reduced navigation uncertainty and improved guidance scheme enable a blunt-body aeroshell with L/D = 0.3--0.4 to perform aerocapture at Neptune. The expected heat rate is within the capabilities of existing thermal protection system materials.

Electric vehicles (EVs), in today’s scenario have become a replacement of conventional mode of transportation as they have shown an ability to minimize the carbon and sulfur emitting fuel operating vehicles. In this study, the components of the battery operated EV (BEV) systems are discussed and a model of BEV on the MATLAB-Simulink platform is simulated. Moreover, the relevant electrical system components as well as its corresponding equations for verification are identified. Furthermore, all simulation results were considered. Thus this study presents a foundation for higher researches in the field of EVs.

Objectives of this study were analyze fish auction participant satisfaction to auction services in TPI Morodemak, analyze attributes effect, services that fit to service quality measurement, and analyzed fish auction participants perception to performance and importance for fish auction house Morodemak services. Used descriptive method and purposive sampling with 49 respondents consists of commercial fishmongers, traditional fishmongers, purse seine owners, and boat lift net owners as fish auction participant. Satisfication measurement used Customer Satisfication Index (CSI), Importance and Performance Analysis (IPA) and gap analysis. Results from this study were value CSI 20% (0.2) indicate the auction participants dissatisfied with the services provided, IPA show there are four attributes should be develop, two elements have not been completed based on measurement requirements of service satisfaction, gap value average -0.05 means the auction participants were not satisfied with the performance of TPI services because the performance value was lower than the importance value.

The Tax Payer obidience in fulfiling their taxation obligation will be influenced a lot by the satisfaction level toward the service fiscus. The aim of this observation is to know the response of Tax Payer toward service quality through importance and performance. The population which become the object of this observation is the personal Tax Payer registered in Bogor Tax Service Office and the number of respondents taken as the sample are 100 respondents with Slovin formula. The analysis method used is descriptive analysis and importance-performance analysis.   The result of this observation will be able to be used as one of the input to Bogor Tax Service Office in improving the quality service and for the following observation, especially those who take the same object as the observation in order to improve the quality service to the Tax Payer based on the service of its working way which is felt less. Otherwise it is important for The Tax Payer, maintaining the good work or balancing the service quality based on the working way which is evaluated less important by The Taxe Payer, but has been done reasonably well or very well by The Service Office
