Modern industrial design has been extended to the whole product life cycle of production, manufacture, sale and recycling from traditional appearance design and product performance. Facing today’s intense and diversification market competition, product design must be taken the whole product life cycle routes based on design, quality, economic and environmental protection. Starting from the design, designer should concern about the product life cycle of the product in each stage of the design process, and use design principles and methods for product design reasonable. With quality competitive as the basis for product, with economic environmental competition as improve quality of power, industrial design can provide high quality product and create a perfect user experience, in order to reduce pollution and satisfied our clients’ needs. In this paper, industrial design processes and methods for product life cycle are discussed and analyzed systematic, so as to product designers of the designer to provide methodology.

Computer aided industrial design (CAID) brings qualitative changes for traditional industrial design on the sides of design method, process and theory. In this paper a new method is proposed with the aim of making the model capable of holding and manipulating the shape features in order to support the students in the design process. The key concept of this study is virtual model making system (VMMS) which consists of numerous sets of rules. VMMS is a new CAID method, and its technical ideas derive from the model making process of automotive product design. With this new CAID method, designers can do any kinds of styling operations on virtual model in the virtual environment generated by computer, such as the cutting or pasting operation on kinds of material. The system was described briefly and a new teaching method of industrial design course was introduced.

Stone stacking represents a high concentration and replication of natural mountain landscape, while stone stacking art serves as a significant element and a key tool in traditional Chinese landscape design. This paper presents the artistic background and characteristics of stone stacking. Through the analysis of the form symbol and design method of “spring, summer, autumn and winter”, this paper proves that the application of cultural symbols in product design is effective and can be used as a method of auxiliary design.

Abstract: This research aims to know the Influence of Media Image on the ability of Writing Poetry students. The method used in this study is a random method that does not use posttes control group design method. The findings of this study show the average way of writing poetry on students by using the image media (experimental class) higher average poetry writing skills on students who were taught with conventional learning (control class). The average of pretest experiments obtained by experiment class is 63,75. The average pretest class of control class is 61,05. After the second class action, the average posttest of the experimental class is 79.45 and the control class is 74.95. Hypothesis calculation using t paired t test test and significance of 0.05 significant level indicates probability (significance) is 0,033. Because of the significance of 0.033

In view of the problems of large stress and severe bearing heating in double-drum winch at present, this paper adopted a new method to enhance bearing capacity for double-drum winch by adding anti-pressure wheels between two drums. Finite element methods were used to analyze the strength of 4000kN-traction double-drum winches with anti-pressure wheels and without anti-pressure wheels respectively. The results of the analysis revealed that the stress of the cylinder bearing decreased from 264MPa to 167MPa. The new method by adding anti-pressure wheels had remarkably improved the endurance of the bearing. Therefore, the design method can be widely used in large-traction double-drum winch.

The purpose of this research is the development of new design method for integrating the optimum strength evaluation and the product design which can make the best use of material's characteristics obtained by the experiment and the analysis. Further we do design using high-strength composite material with this developed concept which is different from conventional design. First, to establish this design method of high-strength materials, we examined these materials characteristics and manufacturing methods and the commercialized products. As this research target material, we focus the fiber reinforced materials such as composite with carbon fiber, glass fiber and aramid fiber. Above all, we marked the carbon fiber which has the high specific tensile strength, wear resistance, heat conductivity and conductance. Here, we introduce the fundamental design concept which makes the best use of the design with enough strength.

A new method of fault diagnosis on the rotating rectifier of aeronautic synchronous is raised in the work. Firstly, the condition, truth and approach of EMD are introduced, and the method and steps of building up the feature vector are also included, Secondly the theories of LS-SVM and the arithmetic in the classification are also included. Finally taking the faults of one and two diodes turning off for example, after extracting the feature vector of exciting current based on EMD and establishing the classifying method based on Gauss RBF LS-SVM, the test, analysis and comparison can be on between LS-SVM and NN the conclusion can be got that the classified method referred in the work owns higher exactness, takes less time and has more application on the on-line fault diagnosis NN.

Product innovation design is challenging due to the complexity of the industrial environment, the changing needs of markets and customers, the effect of intense social competition, and the unpredictability of the future. This paper presents in a systematic analysis of reliability method on industrial product innovation design in order to illustrate what the real meaning of reliability method and how it works on the product innovation design. It also clarifies the relationship between reliability method and product innovation design, reflecting the function of reliability method on each work stage. It is concluded that a suitable thinking mode should be applied on the corresponding design, and it will enhance the effectiveness of innovative product design in general.

TRIZ method has long proven its value without appearing to the industrial world as inevitable. Design researchers have therefore addressed the limitations of the TRIZ method and have overcome them with more systematic approaches. Among these, the Inventive Design Method (IDM) has been the subject of several articles and put into practice in the industry. It is considered an improvement over TRIZ but still suffers from some drawbacks in terms of the time-consuming nature of its implementation. We focused on the IDM process by trying to both identify its areas of inefficiencies while attempting to preserve the quality of its deliverables. Our approach consists of applying the precepts of Lean to IDM. The result is the Inverse Problem Graph (IPG) method, inspired by IDM, but offering significant progress in reducing the time required to mobilize experts while preserving its inventive outcomes. This article outlines our approach for the construction of this new method.
