Wavelet transform was utilized in vibrant signal processing of air suspension system. A dynamic model of 1/4 engineering vehicle with air suspension system was established. Road surface signal of B grade was input to the dynamic model. Vibrant acceleration curve of under spring mass and dynamic load curve of air suspension was gained. Noise signal of under spring mass acceleration and dynamic load of air suspension system were filtrated by wavelet decomposition. Vibrant acceleration signal of under spring mass and dynamic load signal of air suspension were extracted by wavelet reconstruction. It can provide a theoretical foundation for identifying dynamic load of air suspension system.

The air suspension system has become more and more popular in heavy vehicles and buses to improve ride comfort and road holding. This paper focuses on the evaluation of the dynamic load reduction at all axles of a semi-trailer with an air suspension system, in comparison with the one using a leaf spring suspension system on variable speed and road types. First, a full vertical dynamic model is proposed for a tractor semi-trailer (full model) with two types of suspension systems (leaf spring and air spring) for three axles at the semi-trailer, while the tractor’s axles use leaf spring suspension systems. The air suspension systems are built based on the GENSYS model; meanwhile, the remaining structural parameters are considered equally. The full model has been validated by experimental results, and closely follows the dynamical characteristics of the real tractor semi-trailer, with the percent error of the highest value being 6.23% and Pearson correlation coefficient being higher than 0.8, corresponding to different speeds. The survey results showed that the semi-trailer with the air suspension system can reduce the dynamic load of the entire field of speed from 20 to 100 km/h, given random road types from A to F according to the ISO 8608:2016 standard. The dynamic load coefficient (DLC) with the semi-trailer using the air spring suspension system can be reduced on average from 14.8% to 29.3%, in comparison with the semi-trailer using the leaf spring suspension system.

Multidirected acyclic graph (DAG) workflow scheduling is a key problem in the heterogeneous distributed environment in the distributed computing field. A hierarchical heterogeneous multi-DAG workflow problem (HHMDP) was proposed based on the different signal processing workflows produced by different grouping and scanning modes and their hierarchical processing in specific functional signal processing modules in a multigroup scan ultrasonic phased array (UPA) system. A heterogeneous predecessor earliest finish time (HPEFT) algorithm with predecessor pointer adjustment was proposed based on the improved heterogeneous earliest finish time (HEFT) algorithm. The experimental results denote that HPEFT reduces the makespan, ratio of the idle time slot (RITS), and missed deadline rate (MDR) by 3.87–57.68%, 0–6.53%, and 13–58%, respectively, and increases relative relaxation with respect to the deadline (RLD) by 2.27–8.58%, improving the frame rate and resource utilization and reducing the probability of exceeding the real-time period. The multigroup UPA instrument architecture in multi-DAG signal processing flow was also provided. By simulating and verifying the scheduling algorithm, the architecture and the HPEFT algorithm is proved to coordinate the order of each group of signal processing tasks for improving the instrument performance.

The vibration suppression of the proposed pitch-resistant hydraulically interconnected suspension system for the tri-axle straight truck is investigated, and the vibration isolation performances are parametrically designed to achieve smaller body vibration and tire dynamic load using increased pitch stiffness and optimized pressure loss coefficient. For the hydraulic subsystem, the transfer impedance matrix method is applied to derive the impedance matrix. These hydraulic forces are incorporated into the motion equations of mechanical subsystem as external forces according to relationships between boundary flow and mechanical state vectors. In terms of the additional mode stiffness/damping and suspension performance requirements, the cylinder surface area, accumulator pressure, and damper valve’s pressure loss coefficient are comprehensively tuned with parametric design technique and modal analysis method. It is found the isolation capacity is heavily dependent on installation scheme and fluid physical parameters. Especially, the surface area can be designed for the oppositional installation to separately raise pitch stiffness without increasing bounce stiffness. The pressure loss coefficients are tuned with design of experiment approach and evaluated using all conflict indexes with normalized dimensionless evaluation factors. The obtained numerical results indicate that the proposed pitch-resistant hydraulically interconnected suspension system can significantly inhibit both the body and tire vibrations with decreased suspension deformation, and the tire dynamic load distribution among wheel stations is also improved.

Taking the full-vehicle eight-freedom dynamic model of a type of bus as the simulation object , a new optimal control method is introduced. This method is based on the genetic algorithm, and the full-vehicle optimal control model is built in the MatLab. The weight matrix of the optimal control is optimized through the genetic algorithm; then the outcome is compared with the artificially-set optimal control simulation, which shows that the genetic-algorithm based optimal control presents better performance, thereby creating a smoother ride and improving the steering stability of the vehicle.

Considering the rate of depletion of the available oil-based fuels, Renewable Energy Technologies are receiving significant attention in these years. It is, therefore, necessary to find alternatives to energy sources. This project focusses on one such alternative. A study is done on a vehicle suspension system and braking system. Suspension in vehicles produces linear vibrations due to the roughness on the roads. These vibrations are absorbed the shock absorbers and dissipated in the form of heat. In the case of a conventional braking system,a huge amount of heat is lost due to friction. This study proposes a design of a system where the heat lost in the suspension system is extracted, converted into a usable form of electrical energy and stored in batteries. This stored energy is further used in the operation of electromagnet powered brakes. Using the Regenerative Suspension System reduces the waste of energy in the shock absorbers and gives an alternative energy source and use of the Electromagnetic Braking System ensures frictionless braking. Thus, the overall consumption of energy is reduced by a notable amount.
