With the development of urbanization and industrialization in China, the output of municipal sewage gradually increase, which imposes great pressure to the sustainable development of environment. Effective microorganisms (EM) technique has been considered as cheap and effective technique to apply in sewage treatment and gradually attracted scientists much attention also due to its environmentally friendly nature. This paper is aimed to draw a conclusion about the applications of EM technique in municipal sewage treatment and offer proposals to promote the intensive development of EM technique.

Water is a key element to the economic development and plays vital role in various activities including commercial, households, services, water-landscape, and water transport etc. A good water environment in cities has been achieved in developed countries (for e.g. Japan) through implementation of central wastewater treatment and sewerage systems. However, the development of sustainable water management and introducing a new sewage management method is challenging for the cities of developing nations in Asia in terms of having high capital, energy consumption and the technologies. This paper is evaluating the role and importance of sustainable development of water management methods and systems. Our findings suggest that the developed and developing countries must come forward and work together for the sustainable development of the cities in developing nations particularly by providing skills and efficient technologies for the improvement of water quality and wastewater treatment systems. For this, the progress of a systematic supported decision-making tool to allow investors and consumers to contribute to the development of sustainable water management methods and sewage treatment systems through bi- and multilateral investments. In addition, the active involvement of multi-stakeholders (citizens, local municipalities, industries, policy makers) with financial and non-financial institutions would help to create a “sustainable cities” in developing countries.

In order to develop tourism, it is impossible not to be attached to the environment, including the social-cultural and natural environment. Although identified as an important economic sector, making a great contribution to the economy, the high-speed development of the tourism industry is also creating great pressure on the environment, especially on the country’s tourist destinations. If the cultural environment guarantees civilized tourism, then the natural environment is the basis for the sustainable development of tourism. Therefore, environmental protection is being posed as a vital issue in tourism today. If you do not immediately take measures to minimize plastic waste and preserve the landscape and environment, it is likely that tourists will turn their backs on Vietnamese destinations. The article mentions a few effective solutions to develop tourism in general and tourism in Vietnam in the most effective way.

This paper describes the literature on green marketing intervention strategies in the framework of sustainable development with an emphasis on green marketing intervention strategies on the environmental problems facing the world today. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the historic United Nations (UN) Summit has been officially enacted. For the next fifteen years, with this new universal target valid for all, the country will mobilize efforts to end all forms of poverty, fight inequality and overcome climate change. This study explains that both individuals and organizations can benefit from environmentally friendly marketing strategies. Public concerns over environmental damage in recent years have made marketers recognize the needs and marketing value of environmentally friendly. Attention to these conditions has changed the paradigm of the views of companies, marketers, and consumers to contribute to change towards goodness for nature itself. In today’s competitive business environment, profit-oriented and socially responsible companies have begun to adopt the concept of green marketing and address environmental issues as a source of competitive advantage. The disadvantages and future of green marketing interventions are also important reviews for future researchers. Thus at the same time can protect the environment to achieve sustainable development.

Objective: The environmental aspect plays a significant role in shaping sustainable development in local government units. Currently, efforts are being made to reduce the negative impact on the natural environment of the effects of ongoing urbanization. One of the principal ideas of implementing sustainable development is to meet the existing needs of the current generation without limiting the possibilities for subsequent generations. In assessing the degree of implementation of sustainable development, indicators that can inform about the effects of actions taken by local government units play a very important role. The purpose of this study is to assess all 66 cities with county rights during the period 2016–2018 using environmental indicators as information and diagnostic tools. Research methods: The article shows the results of statistical analysis. Select statistical methods were used. Research results: In the examined period, there was no increase in the share of green areas, forests, or legally protected areas in the examined cities. There was no increase in the percentage of the population using sewage treatment plants. A favorable change was noted in relation to municipal waste collected separately. Findings: The research indicates that using indicators to assess activities for the natural environment allows local government units to assess the positive or negative effects of their implementation. Constant monitoring of the results allows them to take corrective actions in areas where the city achieves poor results. The indicators used to evaluate activities under the sustainable development umbrella make it possible to benchmark the results achieved by the cities studied.

Currently, there is a tendency in architecture to search for solutions implementing the assumptions of the sustainable development paradigm. A number of them are components of architecture, which in the future will certainly affect urban planning and architecture to a much greater extent. An issue of great significance is the need to integrate sustainable system elements with the spatial structure of environmentally friendly architectural facilities and complexes in order to achieve harmony between the built and natural environment, which is a basis of sustainable development. In this article, the author would like to solve the problem of how to design buildings, housing estates and towns so that their impact on the environment will be acceptable, i.e. will not exceed the possibilities of natural environment regeneration.
