Achluophobia, fear of darkness, is a common phobia among children and to some degree in adults. The response was taken from 3399 students (8th:1175, 9th:1095, 10th:1129) studying in Government High Schools. The study found that the phobia was more in 8th class students of both rural and urban, compared to 9th and 10 students. Among the rural schools, the average percentage (8th to 10th) was more in Nambur (23.32), Venigalla (17.96) and Tadikonda girls’ (16.35). In the case of urban schools the highest percentage was recorded in SJRR(22.20), SKS (19.25) and SK school (16.90).

Hemophobia fear of blood, is a type of specific phobia. The present study was aimed to know the Hemophobia among 8th to 10th studying students in rural and urban Government schools. The response was taken from 3399 students (8th:1175, 9th:1095, 10th:1129). The study found that the phobia was more in Namburu school students (21.31%). In the urban schools the highest percentage was noticed in SJRR school (28.96). Homeopathy, Exposure based therapy, Cognitive therapy are some of the useful treatment methods. Parents shall not neglect any specific phobia, which can influence the future.

Purpose The purpose of this study was to explore the ways in which adolescent students who stutter perceive their school experiences. Method This study used a qualitative, phenomenological research design. Semistructured interviews were conducted with 7 adolescent students who stutter (3 in middle school and 4 in high school). Participants were interviewed about their school experiences, including the effects of stuttering on academics, learning, teacher relationships, peer relationships, speech therapy experiences, and self-image. Data analysis consisted of transcribing interviews and analyzing them for emerging themes. Results Findings revealed that participants described a variety of experiences around the school setting. Participants reported less favorable middle school experiences. Middle school participants reflected more on teasing, bullying, and feelings of embarrassment, whereas high school participants revealed that teachers, staff, and peers were receptive and accepting of them and their stuttering. All participants reported that their speech therapy helped with classroom participation. Conclusions As a result of the participants' varied experiences, it is important to listen to and incorporate the voices of students who stutter into school, classroom, and therapy decision-making practices.

Since its independence in 1991, Kazakhstan has initiated major reforms to upgrade its education system. However, significant disparities exist in the quality of educational provision in rural and urban schools. This study presents the stakeholders’ – school leaders, teachers, students, parents, and education managers – vision, priorities, and aspirations of quality of education, as well as the opportunities, resources, and support available to them, and the disparities and challenges they face in achieving the quality of education they aspire for.

An attempt was made in the present investigation to study the impact of gender and locality and type of management on self condence among high school students. The present study consists of 400 students studying in government and private high schools in rural and urban areas in Kadapa District of Andhra Pradesh State. The subjects were in the age group of 14-17 years and using purposive random sampling method. Self-condence Inventory developed by Basavanna (1975) was used to collect the data. A 2×2×2 factorial design was employed and ANOVA was used to analyse the data. Findings of the study revealed that gender, type of management and locality have signicant impact on self condence among high school students.

The study aimed to know the prevalence of and some factors associated with suicide ideation in high school adolescents from a Colombian Caribbean city. A cross-sectional analytical study was designed with probability sampling. An expected prevalence of 50% and an alpha error of 5% were estimated. High-school students from public and private institutions were invited to participate. One thousand four hundred sixty-two adolescents participated in, they were aged between 13 and 17 years, and 33.6% of students reported suicide ideation. Suicide ideation was associated with depression risk (OR = 4.54, 95% CI 2.35–8.77), family dysfunction (OR = 4.54, 95% CI 2.35–8.77), sexual violence (OR = 1.92 CI95% 1.33–2.76) and low academic achievement (OR = 1.97, 95% CI 1.42–2.73). It is concluded that 33.6% of adolescents enrolled in secondary education reported suicide ideation and was associated with depression risk, family dysfunction, sexual abuse, and poor academic achievement.
