The outbreak of Corona virus disease (COVID-19) has been recently declared as Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) by World Health Organization and the virus has now spread beyond the boundaries of countries and continents. At present, no specific antiviral treatment or vaccine is available or recommended to counter the COVID-19, and the potential therapy is still symptomatic. The outbreak of the Corona virus was begun in Wuhan, China in December 2019. The most common symptoms are fever, tiredness and dry cough. Some individuals also develop aches and pains, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, or diarrhea. It was reported that traditional remedies may alleviate the symptoms of COVID19. Ayurveda is the world’s oldest medical system that can manage any disease without side effects. Ayurveda is equipped with varieties of treatment modalities to handle with any type of deadly diseases. However, a major drawback is a lack of adequate scientific basis. In recent time, a branch of modern medical science has developed and is known as Psycho- Neuro -Immunology. It deals with the phenomenon of how our thoughts and emotions can affect our immune system. Stress, fear and negative emotions are known to weaken our immune system while Yoga (including meditation), mindfulness, positive emotions, and relaxa-tion strengthen it. Yoga plays an important role to strengthen our immune system.

Coronavirus disease COVID-19 is caused by the recently discovered corona virus that can spread between animals and humans. The outbreak of the corona virus was begun in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. The most common symptoms are fever, tiredness, and dry cough. Some individuals also develop aches and pains, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, or diarrhea. It was reported that traditional remedies may alleviate the symptoms of COVID-19. Ayurveda is the world's oldest medical system that can manage any disease without side effects. Ayurveda is equipped with varieties of treatment modalities to handle with any type of deadly diseases. However, a major drawback is a lack of adequate scientific basis. Tulsi has multi-modal therapeutic effects, we hypothesize that tulsi may be effective in the prevention and management of COVID-19. Though the existing literature supports the management of symptoms of COVID-19 using tulsi, a lack of standard formulation limits its use. This is the need of time to start with translational research to provide scientific evidence for the efficacy and to establish the standard formulation of tulsi in the management of COVID-19.

Abstract Background: The World Health Organization declared the outbreak a public health emergency of international concern (Corona Virus Disease 2019) on January 30th, this study aimed to investigate the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of Corona Virus Disease 2019 in Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, and evaluate scientific basis for disease control and prevention. Methods: A total of 30 patients had been admitted to hospital from Jan 22 to Feb 22, 2020, all of them were laboratory confirmed SARS-Cov-2. Demographic, epidemiological, clinical, laboratory data were collected from Hospital information system and Epidemiological investigation reports. All data was performed by descriptive analysis, Chi-square test or non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test, as appropriate. Two sided p value less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: 30 patients were enrolled, the median age was 44.5 years (IQR 33.8-52.3) and 17 (56.7%) patients were female, 14 (46.7%) patients were native and had no exposure to Hubei Province. At the time of study submission, only one patient had not been discharged and no patients died during the study. The median hospital stay was 16.0 days (IQR 12.5-20.5) and the median course of disease was 20.5 days (IQR 17.0-23.3). The most common symptoms were fever (66.7%), dry cough (26.7%), and pharyngalgia (23.3%) on first admission. Most patients were generally illness or more mild, but 10 (33.3%) patients received oxygen therapy and 14 (46.7%) patients received hormone therapy during their hospitalization. Almost half of patients showed mild lymphocytopenia and 40% patients had elevated concentrations of CRP in the early stages of COVID-19.Conclusions: Among the 30 patients were confirmed with SARA-Cov-2 infection in Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, most of them had clinical presentation of respiratory tract infection, but the median course of disease was more than 2 weeks. Further systematic prospective studies about COVID-19 should be urgently needed.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by the emerging virus, severe acute respiratory distress syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), was announced as a pandemic by the World Health Organization as a global public health emergency. Since the first case of COVID-19 was declared the Moroccan government set up drastic preventative measures to deal with the spread of the virus such as compulsory containment, telework, distance education, use of masks in public places, and many other preventive measures. Pregnant women require special attention in relation to prevention, diagnosis and management. We herein reported a prospective observational study that aims to evaluate the security and effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine on pregnant women with corona virus disease. Our study is a prospective study performed in the three hospitals specialized on corona virus disease 2019 in tangier morocco. We included pregnant women hospitalized with COVID-19 and reproductive-aged. Most cases took the hydroxychloroquine treatment. The maternal outcomes under hydroxychloroquine appear good in most cases for both mother and child and seemed to be safe according to several studies on its use for rheumatic diseases. In the absence of more robust data, this treatment might be best practice in countries that can’t afford the expensive antiviral treatment in this outbreak especially in emergency situations.

Taking these things in to consideration efforts have been made to treat the patients of COVID-19 with Shaman Therapy Herbal Formulations. On the basis of findings and observations obtained after completion of current project it can be concluded that covid19 are progressive degenerative conditions in which Tridosha at its own Ashaya gets provoked and as it belongs to Madhyam Rogamarga treatment becomes challenging. This attempt possibly finds solutions which can prevent. Ayurveda the features like cough, running of nose & sore throat are caused due to Dushti (vitiation) of Pranavaha Srotas & also having Annavaha Strotas Dushti & Rasavaha Strotas Dushti. Ayurveda is the world’s oldest medical system that can manage any disease without side effects.

Corona Virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a new strain of coronavirus that causes respiratory illnesses with a start of flu like symptoms. This disease is fatal and is spread all over the world. The Scientist are working day and night to find vaccine or a cure. World Health Organisation has declared COVID-19 as pandemic [1]. In the view of the pandemic many treatments are being tried on the patients and various treatment modalities are being followed, the traditional medicine has shown a major role to manage this disease. The traditional medicines include the use of herbs, nutrition and spices that are freely available in Asian countries. These are used in day to day life by Asian population [2]. In this paper we have compiled and reviewed the role of various herbs and spices such as Oregano, Ashwagandha, Ginseng, Basil, Sage, Curcumin, Fenugreek, Ginger and Garlic in building immunity and also in curing pathogenic invasions based on evidence based researches. As there is no cure available for COVID-19 till now so supportive therapy is playing a major role for the patients to fight with this pandemic. The AYUSH ministry has also promoted the use of above herbs for a patient suffering from this disease. The corona virus is present in respiratory system as shown by different studies and it has different strains. The guidelines laid by the ICMR and WHO shows that use of herbs, spices and nutrients can be helpful to manage this virus by increasing the immunity in patients. Hence we are not claiming any cures but the herbs and spices used in day to day life are very much effective in management of COVID-19. World Health Organisation (WHO) has recognised the use of alternative and traditional medicine in the management of COVID-19 but the herbs should be used in prescribed amounts and overdose of them can be harmful for health [1,3]. Therefore the present article will enlighten the readers about the role of herbs, spices and nutrients in improving the conditions in COVID-19.

Background: In December 2019, a novel corona virus (SARS-CoV-2) causes atypical pneumonia now known as “corona virus disease 2019” (COVID-19) emerged in Wuhan, China and spread rapidly throughout the world. Objective: The purpose of the present study was to identify the different plausible routes of transmission of SARS-CoV-2 into the human body. Methodology: We searched electronic databases (MEDLINE, EMBASE, Science Citation Index and Chinese database) checked documents and references. We included all the studies regarding potential routes of transmission of SARS-CoV-2. All reviewers independently screened titles and abstracts, assessed studies for inclusion, appraised quality, and extracted data. Result: SARS-CoV-2 has been found to have higher level of transmissibility than other two pathogenic CoVs. Sustained human to human transmission of SARS-CoV-2 has already been established though the exact route of transmission is yet to be determined. Similar to other CoVs, respiratory droplet and contact with contaminated surfaces are considered as principle route of transmission of SARS-CoV-2 whereas aerosol, feco-oral, perinatal, ocular surface and transfusion transmissions are the plausible route of spreading of this highly pathogenic CoVs. Conclusion: In the current review, we summarize the potential route of transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in the light of previous SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV outbreaks to solidify the scientific basis on which important decisions can be made.
