This study explores the effects of tourism, quality of institutions and FDI on environmental degradation inPakistan for the two time periods i.e. 1996-2017 and 2000-2017. Quality of institutions is included in the time period2000-2017 which is adopted from world governance indicators but due to lack of the data it has not been included insecond time (1999-2017). To find out the relationship among given variables, Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regressionwas carried out, moreover, Breusch-Godfrey Serial Correlation LM test, Heteroscedasticity Test and HistogramNormality test were also applied to diagnose the econometric issues in the given models. The findings of the studyrevealed that tourism is significant and influential factor of environmental degradation in Pakistan. Similarly, foreigndirect investment is also contributing in environmental degradation but its effect is insignificant for both time periods. On the other hand, an inverse relationship is observed between quality of institution and environmental degradation. The outcomes of the study suggest that environmental degradation can be overcome by increasing the quality of theinstitutions. Moreover, the government initiatives to attract foreign tourists by introducing new visa policy, whichincludes; electronic visa, on arrival visa and opening new avenues for tourists (e.g. Kartarpur Corridor and CPECinitiatives etc.) will have tremendous impact on the national economy. However, environmental degradation is theoutcome of tourism, therefore, policy maker’s needs to consider the negative effects of tourism in addition to itspositive effects on the economy.

This paper deals with the quality of institutions in two samples. The first sample consists of candidates and potential candidates for membership in the European Union - Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and N. Macedonia, while the second sample consists of the youngest member states of the European Union - Croatia, Bulgaria and Romania. In some of the earlier papers, as a co-author or author, I compared the countries of the region with the members of "New Europe", i.e. the countries that became members of the EU in 2004, but a glance look at the data today led me to the conclusion that the quality of the institutional environment in the region is more logical to compare with the newest EU members. Even in comparison with these countries, our region lags significantly behind. As a database for the quality of institutions, I used the World Governance Indicators developed by Kaufman et al. (2010). Institutions are defined as they were defined by Nobel laureate Douglas North and after him, a whole group of economists under the auspices of the New Institutional Economy.

BPJS is one of the health services provided by the government to the people ofIndonesia. In the process of patient care by using BPJS there were some complaints fromconsumers related to the quality of service. Poor service quality will have an impact onconsumer dissatisfaction in the service, so that it is capable of influencing consumer loyalty.Loyalty can only be generated if consumers have experienced the satisfaction of a goodservice quality provided by the service provider. This study aims to determine the effectof service quality on customer loyalty. In this case the customer satisfaction are thingsthat need to be met first before consumers get to the stage of loyalty. Respondents of thisstudy are inpatients in RSI Jemursari Surabaya as many as 100 people who use the serviceBPJS third grade. This study used survey method and analyzed using path analysis withPartial Least Square (PLS). Results from this study is the quality of service has an influenceon loyalty with mediation of consumer satisfaction. Loyalty can occur if the satisfactionfelt by consumers. Thus, in this study, customer satisfaction a mediating variable for therelationship between the variables of service quality and customer loyalty.

The study examines the empirical nexus between poverty and unemployment on economic growth in Nigeria between 1980 and 2016. Auto-Regressive Distributed Lag (ARDL), Bound cointegration testing, and Error Correction Methods (ECM) were used to investigate the link between unemployment, poverty rate, and economic growth in Nigeria. Post estimation tests such as the Jarque-Bera test, Breusch-Pagan, ARCH test, and Ramsey reset test were also adopted in order to validate the research finding. The diagnostic tests further disclosed that the estimated model follows the Ordinary Least Square technique assumptions to attain efficiency and consistency of the model employed. The Jarque-Bera test suggests that residuals for both models are normally distributed, and the Breusch-Godfrey Serial Correlation (LM) test indicates that the hypothesis of no autocorrelation cannot be rejected. Interestingly, the ARDL and ECM results show that unemployment and poverty significantly impact economic growth both in the short and long run. Hence, the study recommended that the Nigeria government should ensure that adequate measures are put in place: Such as investment in education, agricultural sector reform, expansionary fiscal policy, intervention in micro-lending for small scale businesses by the government should be implemented to reduce the level of unemployment and poverty rate both in the short run and long run.

The objective of this research is to analyze the effect of Amil's Islamic Characteristics on Quality of Financial Reporting and Good Governance as an Intervening Variable in Zakat Management Organizations (ZMO). The research used the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method with SmartPLS software to analyze data from 204 samples of commissioners and administrators of Zakat Management Organization. The results show that the character of trustworthiness, professionalism, and good governance had a positive and significant effect on the quality of Financial Reporting. In contrast, Islamic religiosity has no impact on the quality of financial reporting. The results also show that Islamic religiosity, trustworthiness, and professionalism had a positive and significant effect on good governance. Good governance played a role in mediating the influence of trustworthiness on the quality of Financial Reporting. The research findings provide managerial implications for ZMO and the government to utilize Islamic religiosity and character of trustworthiness as qualitative standards in Amil recruitment. Furthermore, it allows them to create and set Amil’s professional competency standards, including the fields of accounting and management, and provide Amil professional certification as well as establish Amil Professional Associations.

Main effects contributing to the quality of surface roughness on an etched aluminium metallization wafer using Reactive Ion Etching (RIE) was studied. A total of three controllable process variables, with eight sets of experiments were scrutinized using an orderly designed design of experiment (DOE). The three variables in the investigation are composed of CF4 gas, composed of O2 gas and RF power while time is constant. The estimate of effect calculated for composition of CF4 gas, composition of O2 gas and RF power are-2.205, -0.975, and-0.525 respectively. All factors gave negative effects. This implies that the surface roughness increases when the content of CF4, O2, and RF power is lower. The results suggest that the composition of CF4 gaseous as the most influential factor as its main effects plot has the steepest slope followed by oxygen and RF power.

The paper deals with the analysis of the impact of public administration on the innovation development. With purposes to identify the main scientific directions of analysis among the scientific community, the authors did the bibliometric study. For the reviews, the authors selected 1167 papers which indexing in Scopus. For the visualising the findings of bibliometric analysis, the VOSviewer was used. The results allow allocating 10 clusters of scientific directions which analysed the issues of innovations and public administrations. The first most significant clusters could «innovation» analysed the efficiency of the public administration through the effectiveness of innovation implementation. The second clusters connected with the government innovation policy and located close to the first clusters. The third cluster «public administration» involved 40 items and 4699 links. The scientists with Italian and American affiliations had the most significant shares of papers. At the same time, the European funding allocated the most significant share of financing such research. The hypothesis of the investigation was checking the linking between levels of innovation development and countries’ rating on the efficiency of public administration using the correlation analysis and least square model. For the checking hypothesis, the authors used the software EViews11. The authors analysed the Worldwide Governance Indicators as the base indicators for the assessment of public administration efficiency. For the analysis, the authors used data for EU countries and Ukraine. As Ukraine has started the integration process, the Ukrainian policy should be synchronised with the EU. The findings proved the correlation between variables. Thus, the increasing of government efficiency and the rule of law lead to increasing by 0,094 and 0,043 points the level of innovation development of the country corresponding. At the same time, the increasing regulation policy provoke the increase of innovation development by 0,08 points. The less impact had the variables as follows: sustainability competitiveness of the country and volume of expenditure on research and development. After analysis of the empirical data, the reviews of the management and legal instruments was done. Considering the EU experience, the authors identified the system of tools which lead to increasing of public administration efficiency as follows: legislation on property rights, anti-corruption directives, digitalisation of government authorities at all levels. For the future investigation, the time and range of the countries should be extended. Keywords governance, management, law, property right, innovation.

This paper investigates the relationship between the quality of institutions and the cyclical properties of macroeconomic policies in the Brazilian economy in the recent period. We extend the monetary and fiscal policy rules proposed by Taylor (2000) to incorporate a proxy for institutional quality. In the empirical analysis, we estimate reaction functions for monetary and fiscal policies by the Markov-Switching method. This methodology allows us to analyze how changes in the quality of institutions might influence the guidance of the fiscal and monetary policies over the sample period. The major results maintain that both monetary and fiscal policies are significantly countercyclical in periods that exhibit higher levels of institutional quality and are pro-cyclical or acyclical in periods which exhibit lower levels of institutional quality. Thus, the quality of institutions plays a key role in the government's ability to implement countercyclical monetary and fiscal policies to stabilize the Brazilian economy over the business cycle.
